We thought about switching to Online but like the security of desktop. Cons Would be nice to have internet as back-up option, as well as to have it run better on Windows 10. I also like that my bank accounts can be linked for quick organization of chart of accounts. It is nice to be able to invite my CPA into my account to help me keep track of all expenses for taxes. Cons There is nothing that comes to mind that I dislike about this software. It is easy to use and when I have questions they are always answered. April 15, 2022 4.0 Pros It is easy to set up accounts for the employees and really easy to use. very user friendly. Cons Sometimes the accounts created do not work when employees try to log in. I can simply follow the steps/instructions and complete my payroll. Pros My favorite part is the automatic tax payments. I do not have to think about my tax payments at all. Cons I can not think of anything that I really dislike about quickbooks payroll. If anything, it would simply be the price. Cons Software is fine. I have struggled to get Quickbooks payroll to make deposits to my state for withholding. If Intuit would simply send a text ir email that a deposit was NOT made, remediation could have timely occurred instead of receiving notices from the state. Pros I am very happy with this payroll service. I like the idea of having control entering my payroll demographics, employee hours and withholds. The best of the best is I do not have to fret over when taxes are due or sending out the W2s. Their customer service is awesome! I feel it is very much worth the money for my peace of mind. Cons Impossible to simply purchase (and own) the software; intuit insists on a monthly fee. Information needed for tax forms is spread across multiple reports, and pulling this information is possible, but annoying in a way that it doesn't need to be. Customer service does not exist. I did something wrong and couldn't run my next payroll. YIKES! \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]with customer service called me back quickly and my employees got paid right away. She was kind, considerate and professional. And very respectful despite my inabilities. I feel very well cared for by this company. Pros I don't know anything about software and this still works. I would spend hours on the phone with a rep to try to get a resolution. Even then, it took multiple calls for the task to be completed. Pros Software is great for smaller companies with only salaried employees that expect minimal changes between payroll runs. Cons Adding a view of payroll changes each period would be helpful to identify major changes or potential mistakes. Also allowing employees to update their W-4 information on their own would have saved time from an HR standpoint, as well as mitigated risk. Reason for choosing QuickBooks Payroll Quickbooks payroll was chosen as it was convenient when setting up quickbooks as our accounting system.
