Pros Quickbooks makes it very easy to complete and keep track of your business payroll. It is also very easy to pull up past records no matter if its a week or a year back. The reason being is because it’s very easy to use, upgrade, and track. There are a lot of helpful “how to” videos also. Cons It does take a little while to first setup your info, but after that it is easy to input and track. For newer users, it can feel a little overwhelming. The positives out weigh the negatives. Pros I like how the system functions smoothly once you figure out how to use it. You can input employee work hours as well as find them within an overall database. Cons I don't like how the system is very difficult to use. The visual navigation showing payments in and out is a big help. The different reports that can be generated were helpful as well. Cons Customer service was an issue when we ran into a licensing issue when upgarding to a newer version. President (title) Construction Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Help Setting up New payroll " February 3, 2020 4.0 We had a lot of glitches to start-that took some time to figure out (like the Safari vs Google browser issue.) I have worked with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] and he has worked with me for several weeks calling me every Monday to walk through payroll to make sure previous issues were fixed and it was running correctly. Every week we would encounter another issue that was new or different and he worked on fixing it or finding someone who could. When he was unavailable he had \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]help and we finally successfully ran payroll without any problems today. Thank Guys Pros Once it was setup and running - it works great with the TSheets program we use and makes doing payroll less time consuming. Pros The product is actually very easy to use and works great until they start messing with everything. Cons The inside sales team called to suggest I downgrade my license to save money. They promised I would not loose any functuionailty and that the change was only based on moving from an unlimited users to pay per user. I agreed and saw a small savings. Later, I could not process payroll. ... long story short... 5-6 customer service calls, 8-10 hours of my time... swithching licenses at least four times... Their customer support was horrible. Nobody exists who can actually escalate my issue and help me or do anything to account for the hassle and time lost. The support team \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] is great, very helpful. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] was very thorough in taking care of my problem and explaining things to me since I am a payroll "newbie". She was very friendly as well. Cons There was a time an employee took an advance payroll draw, and we used the advance repayment feature to withhold a certain amount per paycheck until it was paid back. However, there was not an option to select an end date for the repayment and we forgot to turn it off, so money was withheld from his paycheck longer than it should have. Adding employees is easy, changing banking details for them is easy and pretty much everything I need to do is easy via this site. The customer service is great as well! Owner Insurance Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Beware!" February 18, 2020 1.0 BEWARE!!!!The customer service overall was very dissapointing. I cancelled my subscription for both intuitpayroll and quickbooks back in 2019. It was not mentioned to me that I will not be able to get the 1099 Forms. All i was told was that I will have access for 12months, I even reiterate about the 1099 form at the end of the year and I was told that there will not be any issue getting it. I called last 2/10/2020 and they didnt know how I am able to get the 1099 form waited for hours on the line. I was told that they will check what is going on and no responce after 8 days I reached out again waiting for hours and hours on the line. The manager told me I have to contact IRS because they cant do anything about it because the subscription was cancelled. Pros Nothing. It is not user friendly and horrible customer service. When a question or problem does arise, Intuit customer service reps are easy to reach and can walk us through a solution. Pros We have many seasonal employees and this software makes it easy to add and remove them from payroll. Setting up direct deposits is simple and it can be active on the first first payday. Plays well with QuickBooks! Cons We've been very happy with this software. It is easy to incorporate iif files sent to me by my accountant and I don't have any problems keeping up with payroll. Pros It is very reliable - I have not had any errors in payroll since I have been using it the last few years. That is a big deal when it comes to people's paychecks. Now Intuit is forcing everyone to change ids, change access points. Turned what was a profitable business into a giant time suck. Cons Intuit, as I said the product was great until Intuit bought it. As our company grew I added the payroll feature. They have many packages to choose from including anything from basic computation to full service payroll. The system is easy to navigate. I chose the full service option and have not been disappointed in the ease of use and reliability. The price is competitive with other software. Cons I really do not have a con. If you did your own payroll, you would know exactly what I'm talking about. Quickbooks payroll has been the easiest and most effective payroll tool I've utilized. Cons The only problem I would say I've had is that it sometimes lags. It can make my computer really slow at times and also, it crashes from time to time.
