Ease of telephone use for my customers. Makes us look professional!

Pros

Grasshopper has really improved over the years, especially with adding the Desktop app. And the ability to have multiple numbers to use in different areas of the business helps. Setting up numbers and recording messages is easy. Professional voice feature is also a nice plus.

Cons

Inability to delete messages within either the phone or desktop app -- you must go to the website to delete old messages. Also the desktop app doesn't follow store hour rules, so you have to remember to "set to private" when you are not accepting calls.

Pros

Callers are welcomed with a professional and cheerful greeting with a menu/directory to get to the client to the right person every time. Call forwarding is seamless and voice mail transcripts are nice. Scalable solutions for small, but growing companies.

Cons

The add-ons can quickly drive up the product use cost.

### "Worst Phone Service Ever"

They have terrible policies, customer service and the product is incredibly glitchy

Pros

I liked that the app was supposed to put all my voicemails in one app

Cons

They canceled my service unexpectedly after I paid citing they were concerned my usage was criminal. I lost 14 irretrievably, invaluable voicemails. Customer service did nothing to help retrieve them. They didn't email me to let me know my account was closed or anything so for weeks I had no idea I had lost the voicemails. The edits you make on the app take 20 minutes sometimes to come through. Terrible waste of time service. Wish I'd never heard of them

The price for establishing or transferring a toll free or local number is a bargain once you realize that you now have a switchboard that will route your calls to land lines or cell phones. You can create or use one of their professional voices (extra fee) to create you main message and amessage for each of the extensions that you establish. You can also receive and route incoming faxes. Call notifications can be directed to specific email addresses. You can also opt for voicemail transcription delivered via email. Extremely useful and time saving for a small business.

Pros

Value, flexibility, features, mobile app.

Cons

The setup is a little clunky, but the end result bid worth the learning curve.

Flexibility to have multiple staff or extensions and monitor/filter the calls as needed. I can forward calls to my cell but only during business hours, which is great.

Cons

Wanted to have international calling on my account and they require money deposit to be placed although the calls I want to make are less than a dollar a minute....

Overall I am enjoying grasshopper because it’s saving me $200 a month and I’m getting more features than I was getting with my previous phone company.

Pros

I just started using grasshopper two weeks ago but a few things I really like steady is that it was super easy to port over our existing number. I live that we get to set up all of the call routing ourselves. And I really am enjoying the text voicemails as well!

Cons

The only thing that I feel is missing is that you can’t send outgoing faxes through grasshopper. Only incoming. That would be my only complaint.

I have been using this software for about a year and 1/2 and I haven't had any problems or glitches. I had a question about my bill early on and my question to the support team was answered right away. I love how easy it is to get my messages from email and they are saved in case I need to go back and listen or follow up on something. This service has been extremely reliable and it took minutes to set up, including getting 2 new phone numbers, 1 toll free and 1 local

Pros

This had all the features I needed and it was easy and fast to set up. The price was reasonable and options for additional services makes it customizable.

Cons

I don't have any cons or negative comments about this software although the price may be on the high side.

It is simple and easy to use, and you can easily set it up.

Cons

Unbelievable! I cancelled my subscription in December 2022, but this company charged me again my credit card on January 2023. They charge you extra WITHOUT INFORMING you as well!!!! They are scammers.

### "Won Over from Skepticism "

I finally broke down and called the customer support number. Grasshopper claims to have 24/7 US based support but I was skeptical that anyone would answer. And granted I was on hold for a long time and they use their own hold music. But eventually a customer service rep came on and was able to assist me as well as give me a few tips on how to improve one of Grasshopper’s features. So I say yay!

Pros

What I like most about Grasshopper is that it is very easy to set up. To obtain an 800 phone number for your business from a selection and make the number widely available. It is also an inexpensive option as well. I reviewed a number of Grasshopper’s competitors and decided that Grasshopper was best for us because right now our business has minimal needs. We are currently a business of two

Cons

What I don’t like about the software is that the process for recording your message, adding or deleting hold music and assigning the correct message to the correct place in the sequence of the call answering and call forwarding process was not clear in the support area on their website. I spent over 40 minutes attempting to figure this out and yes I was doing this when it was nearly 2:00 in the morning when I am not at my sharpest.

As the office manager, the software was able to take the place of giving staff cell phones to use for On-cal purposes and eliminated the need to give out staff phone numbers to people that may abuse the availability of our staff members.

Pros

I like that voicemails are emailed to users and that they can be listened to from the email. I also like the ease in changing phone numbers that are associated with Extensions as our On-call worker rotates every few weeks.

Cons

Since we use the software for 24 hour emergency on-call situations, it it imperative that the system doesn't have outages. We have had a few experiences where the calls were not getting to the extension phone number and simply going to voicemail or showing up as missed calls, when the phone never actually rang.

I use Grasshopper with my cell phone account, the two merge easily. Grasshopper gives small business like mine an economical way to have a toll free number with all the options of a large corporate phone system.

Pros

Great service, great price,

Cons

A little difficult getting the voicemail functions set up. The recording part is easy but if you're using it in conjuction with another phone system it can be tricky to use the extension functions and get the voicemail messaging right.

Our organization is multiple staff in multiple home offices, so we are able to use Grasshopper to give clients and supporters a single point of contact. We can do that without spending a fortune on some kind of huge complex system/

Pros

We have no central office, and Grasshopper becomes that "center" for us. I love the way call forwarding works, and the way I can call out from our "office" number even if I'm on my cell phone.

Cons

A little clunky, in terms of getting in to the app to make a phone call. But I don't know how to do it better so I'm not complaining.

Overall, Grasshopper has been great! The call gets transferred with ease and it is always high quality. I have never experience a dropped call while using this software.

Pros

We use Grasshopper as a means of transferring calls from our main line to specific people in our company. Grasshopper is great! We've been using it for a long time and it's been easy to use. I only get the transferred calls, but the quality of the calls are great!

Cons

No complaints about Grasshopper. It has great quality even though the call is a transfer form the main line.

Pros

Simple interface, prices are reasonable. Works well. Does what it's supposed to do. Overall, its simplicity and doing the basics well are my most favored features.

Cons

Small glitch with the app not connecting our calls a few times, but once we formally authorized that associated phone, it resolved.

Freedom, flexibility, accessibility.

Pros

I appreciate the flexibility this service gives me in being able to have a professional phone service through the cloud which means it is anywhere I am. I like the freedom of always having my phone service readily accessible. I'm able to have staff respond to client's needs throughout the day which frees me to work with clients who are in the office. Being able to schedule which staff will be responsible for taking calls has also created greater efficiencies within our office.

Cons

The only real area I would like to see improved would be for the caller id to push through rather than the indication of my office phone number when someone calls in.

Overall it is a good service, and the customer service reps are friendly and helpful. However unlike other services Grasshopper does allow us to receive alerts for hang-up calls which are potential missed clients. We have to login to see these calls and this is a pain to do: By then often the customer has taken their business elsewhere. I have been requesting this feature for a while, but they haven't yet implemented it. So I decided to write a review to possibly get them to act. I called them today and the rep informed me she had LOTS of request for a hang-up alert feature, but she had not heard of any plans to implement it. I am assuming this feature should not be difficult to implement since we get alerts when a client leaves a message.

Pros

Good Customer Service, and easy to use platform

Cons

No alerts for hang-up calls which causes loss of business

Just make sure you have push notifications enabled for missed calls on each extension (it's off by default). When someone calls and hangs up, you'll get a notification that it is a missed call. Overall our experience has been good. Customer service is quick and helpful.

Pros

This not our first time using VOIP for our business line but Grasshopper overs a fair, competitive rate and one of the best Apps to complement the features of the software. It is very stable and unlike some other software, it has all the working features of the desktop version.

Cons

Our major problem has been that twice we have had our phone number mistaken for another company. Two times, two different companies about a year apart.

Over all ok but sometimes calls are dropped and dial out is delayed. Missed calls may be recorded, sometimes not.

Pros

Local number can be forwarded, use app on phone, texting, auto response, different extensions, novelty number are all good.

Cons

I started using the product and initially the basic package allowed for over 100 exemptions, now it’s limited. They charge in USD so with exchange rate the product is too expensive. Found free software alternative with almost same functionality. Will be switching.

The peace of mind that I can bring my business anywhere I like and not worry about being stuck in the office.

Pros

The fact that we can send certain phone calls to multiple phone lines for our emergency line is amazing and it takes away from stressing on not missing any important calls. I can also hire someone from their home and just transfer the line, very good options!

Cons

90% of the time the email does not write the message so we have to listen and it is sometimes impossible and an inconvenience. It would be nice since you serve Canada also to be able to have the messages written in French and in English
