### "It's a great business system for our needs"

The peace of mind that I can bring my business anywhere I like and not worry about being stuck in the office.

Pros

The fact that we can send certain phone calls to multiple phone lines for our emergency line is amazing and it takes away from stressing on not missing any important calls. I can also hire someone from their home and just transfer the line, very good options!

Cons

90% of the time the email does not write the message so we have to listen and it is sometimes impossible and an inconvenience. It would be nice since you serve Canada also to be able to have the messages written in French and in English

I like grasshopper, especially in this day in age where no one is working in the office.

Pros

This software allowed me to keep people from complaining about lack of land lines. It also a very simple app and a website to control all your voice mail and incoming call needs.

Cons

This has a tier pricing that's very difficult for us to gauge. We don't know how many minutes we use per month so I wish there was a rollover plan.

Grasshopper allowed us to create a new toll-free Helpline program hosted by volunteers around the country.

Pros

The simple interface makes it easy to coordinate Helpline host schedules, manage call forwarding, and facilitates message retrieval.

Cons

The Grasshopper mobile app occasionally encounters issues requiring re-installation. New web interface caused issues where support had to switch our account back and forth between old and new interfaces multiple times.

Lowering my phone bill is the first, having my calls follow me wherever I go is a definite plus.

Pros

Ease of use - once all settings are complete, you can have your office at your fingertips at all hours of the day. Professional way to conduct business while on the go. No complaints about the service and receiving phone calls. Seamless transition.

Cons

Sometimes the app on iPhone will not update properly and has to be deleted and redownloaded to pick up voice mails.

Pros

I can use my personal phone which eliminates the need for a second phone and contract. It is a great price as well. I have a local number. The ability to read a voicemail as it is playing is great. I also like having the option to text.

Cons

Initially it was very fast, my messages would appear immediately. Lately, it takes over a minute to three minutes to load the app, and longer to receive messages, including text messages.

Really great support and customer service and definitely ideal for small business. Call forwarding and use of extensions is awesome

Cons

Downside to this is when they say small business support that is what they mean, larger scale I would really use another option.

Overall positive. Very simple and easy to use for anyone coming in. If you can use a phone you can use this software. Wish they would ad the ability to save contacts.

Pros

Very simple software that easily allows users to call and text from multiple lines simultaneously. Works well on desktop as well as mobile. Syncing across devices keeps the whole team on the same page.

Cons

No way to set contacts or save numbers. My company deals with a huge amount of contacts and it would save a lot of time to be able to instantly know who messages and calls are coming from. Prone to some syncing issues and random updates.

Pros

I love that I can have several users attached to the same phone number without having to be tied to a desk phone. Grasshopper is completely mobile. I also love that I don't have to give my personal phone number out on marketing material. Users can contact me or my associates through one number. I also like that we can customize our own greetings and other settings such as hold music and whether to inform us who the caller is before we answer or allow the call to go directly to the owner of the extension.

Cons

We have the text messaging feature which is great except that all users see all the text messages. Currently there is no way to direct messages to individual extensions. Hoping that they come up with a way to achieve this soon. Also, text messages are delayed in showing up until I refresh the app a couple of times. I am also oftentimes not notified of new messages in a timely manner.

Easy to adjust and use, we find Grasshopper to be part of our essential tools mix.

Pros

Forwards VM calls to play to your email inbox - an essential tool for any businesses that does not have a large call center or phone system

Cons

Some things seem a little outdated in their user interface but I think that's mostly a UI design thing. I suppose they could redesign but then I'd have to learn where to find things all over again. :)

Easy to use. Easy to get new employees set up with an extension. Good price compared to other options we considered.

Cons

The desktop app doesn't indicate which extension was dialed, so you can't really anticipate what the call will be about if you have multiple extensions routed to you.

Added professionalism and trust.

Pros

I love the fact that missing a call isn't the end of the world. We are notified of the calls we miss and messages we received through our mobile app. I also like the professionalism it adds to our business. Also, the extension feature is great because people can select the option that fits their needs best and it can ring to the cell phone of the intended recipient.

Cons

I don't like the greeting glitch. I've had to reset the greeting a couple of times but other than that everything is pretty great. I'd also like a lower monthly price but it's still a great service.

Overall, Grasshopper did a good job providing basic service, with additional services at an added price (voice greetings)

Pros

I liked that Grasshopper was easy to set up and relatively cheap. It was also easy to choose recorded greetings.

Cons

I disliked the price. For an online store, most of my customers chose to contact through email which greatly reduced phone usage. Therefore, the price was too high in my situation.

It has been great and I would highly recommend. The user friendly website is helpful.

Pros

It's easy to change who is on call when and who the calls are forwarded to. The option to email the voicemails are a real plus too!

Cons

We struggled a bit with getting a temporary message up when we had a staff meeting one day. However, we know calls will always get transferred if we can't pick up the phone and that is comforting.

We have had an amazing experience with Grasshopper!

Pros

Grasshopper is amazing! It is genius, instead of having a work phone, we use Grasshopper, it calls your own cell phones and tells you that it is a Grasshopper call, so you are prepared and can answer it like it is a work phone. We love Grasshopper!

Cons

I really don't have any cons for Grasshopper, it is easy to use and very reasonably priced. We love it!

Connectivity and being able to granularly get our customers to the exact person they need to speak with.

Pros

We've been able to scale up with the addition of our new employees and locations. Grasshopper makes it super easy to expand and keep everyone connected and reachable by our customers.

Cons

We are not able to forward to Google numbers. This hasn't really been too big of an issue but we do publish the Google number as our local number. It would be great to forward to this number.

Overall this app worked well for me for my small business, the cost should go down a bit.

Pros

My favorite part of this app was to have a dedicated business phone number so I didn't have to use my personal number anymore.

Cons

I would have liked to see them have sales on their monthly costs because the cost is a bit high in my opinion.

Grasshopper is great because you can set up available times to receive calls for work and they go directly to your phone. You can also set up multiple lines to the same account which can be very useful for assistants who screen calls for their executive members. The combined phone use while offering a degree of separation is incredibly useful.

Pros

Grasshopper is a great addition to any organization because it avoids using a desk phone, allows you to check voicemails and calls remotely, but provides some guardrails to receiving work calls on your personal phone without having to own and carry two mobile phones at once.

Cons

Grasshopper uses an app so it does will require a change to one's habits while you adapt to checking an app in addition to your regular calls app.

### "Keep your old phone, Grasshopper has you covered"

A couple years ago when I attempted to start a phone repair business, I used Grasshopper to make me more professional. I had what is called a "vanity" that I thought was easy to remember and I think it helped out. Ultimately the business did not work out, but it was in no way Grasshopper's fault. Honestly made me look more professional to the public.

Pros

This piece of software is awesome. You get to keep your old cell phone (unless you want to upgrade) and you can have a different phone number on it, used for business purposes. You can have very professional sounding away messages, automated greetings, or even 1-800 numbers for your small business. And the monthly fee is very small, compared to buying a whole new phone system for your small business.

Cons

This is not necessarily the best solution for larger businesses, but it definitely has some great uses for smaller, local businesses. If you are looking for a simple/affordable solution to your professionality on the phone, this is your go-to.

It allowed us to get a more professional presence on the phone and we haven't had a single problem so far. Call quality and reliability has been great, I highly recommend Grasshopper.

Pros

It allowed us to easily get a business phone number with just a few clicks and use it with a regular smartphone, complete with professional voicemail greeting and call routing for when we need calls to go to different people instead of just one destination.

Cons

It is fairly basic, if you have more complex phone system needs, you may want to look elsewhere. But for small businesses it is absolutely the best option and better than it's competitors for getting a professional business number up and running

Love that we were able to get a vanity number that spells out our company name, as well the name directory, extensions feature, and call customization - the ability to upload our own personal greetings and wait music is a plus! The Grasshopper system has truly streamlined our phone calls and our clients love that they can contact the appropriate departments directly.

Cons

The online interface is not as user friendly and intuitive as we would like it to be, although the mobile app is great!

Ease of use and mobility. This software has opened up doors that we didn't previously have, and makes sales much easier

Cant receive text on two separate phones. My wife and I want to both respond to text messages through the app .
