Call quality, Technical support. I like the option to get multiple call forwarding numbers that helps to distribute to different team members.

Cons

Sometime call forwarding doesn't work as expected. Sometime we get the caller number and sometime it comes as unknown number.

My experience is very positive. I liked when they added text messaging. Easy to receive and distinguish calls. They also provided a toll free number and secondary local number.

Pros

Grasshopper is a software product that distinguishes your personal calls from your business call. I like that I can see customers so I may always accept their call.

Cons

I have extensions on my phone. Sometimes the customer will skip over my extension which is one for scheduling. My partner gets scheduling calls, it appears that the customers that the customers don’t listen to the greeting.

Thanks for the great review, Earlene! If your caller ever ends up at the wrong extension you can always transfer them back to the right one. Just press ## on the call and follow the steps to transfer a call.

Extension based call routing and voicemail.

Pros

We've been using Grasshopper for the last few years and I couldn't be more pleased. Being able to use my existing phone for incoming and outgoing calls allows us to maintain a professional feel to our clients no matter where we are and what we're doing.

Cons

The only thing I can wish was better is incoming caller ID. When we get an incoming call it just displays the business number and not the caller's information.

Having a office number for my business and with the convenience of using my cell phone.

Pros

Extensions for my team. Faxing support when needed. Voicemails over email and in the app. Caller ID in the app.

Cons

No texting. Caller ID not available on mobile when receiving calls (at least through the Android app).

Time saving organization of our group phone systems. We have people in 4 states, all using just their cell phones for contact. Works great.

Pros

Ease of use. Setting up the messages was fairly simple because of the web sight. Once I figured it all out, the set up was quick and easy. Using the lab for recorded messages is nice but certainly not nessesary

Cons

The delay when connecting to one of our extensions however, I understand it. Most people who are familiar with your service know that it is a Grasshopper call and not a larger system.

Overall Grasshoopper is a fun, potential money maker for those who like to invest and keep up with current trends in Stock.

Pros

If you like to trade, look at StockMarkets and enjoy keeping up with what is happening with the Dow Jones, this app/program is for you!! The initial investment may be small or high, but the returns can be a lot more than you ever might have anticipated.

Cons

The only thing that can be discouraging is how much investment you made, and how much you may loss depending on the stocks. That is however the trick of the trade!

Pros

It was easy to sign up and get a toll free number. The exact number (vanity) wasn't available, but that is understandable.

Cons

No as intuitive as it could be. Support was good most of the time but there were a few times when they talked down to me. I had the least expensive, pay for calls plan, and it ended up not working great for me, so I just dropped the service.

### "Cheaper Than Business Line"

Pros

We have multiple employees that travel frequently. Grasshopper met the needs of traveling teams for cheaper than a regular business line, and was much more convenient.

Cons

Employees must have their own cell phone already - but this is hardly a difficult requirement to meet.

Pros

In order to streamline our phone system from personal cell phones, our office admin joined Grass Hopper. We use it for our office telecommunications system. It does the job. We like how everyone has an extension people can call that isn't our personal numbers. We like how it transfers to our cell phones via the app. We like how it says Grasshopper when someone is calling that way we know someone is calling into our organization. This is changeable but we haven't done that.

Cons

A draw back is how long a person has to wait on the other end (the one calling) for the person being called to listen to who it is, and whether or not we want to take the call. Seems like a minute of wait time before the person calling can actually talk to us. It's not horrible but I just wonder about that sometimes.

Overall this is a great tool. Very easy to use and works just as well as a handheld phone.

Pros

Interface is very easy to use. Voice quality is great!

Cons

No easy way in the UI to MUTE yourself while on a call. Seems like this should be available. Occasionally a setting on the backend gets changed for no apparent reason, and inbound calls to me go straight to my VM. Support was helpful in getting it resolved, but it's happened twice in 9 months for no apparent reason. Not a big deal

Pros

Using grasshopper has made a huge improvement for my company. It makes it easy screening calls and when my phone dies it still takes messages.

Cons

It can get a little pricey with additional settings. Such as text messaging and caller id, but it is worth it!

Cons

I would have preferred cost free choices for the recorded messages and some prerecorded incoming and outgoing offerings.

Pros

I like the ability to get the real time tracking and ongoing delivery information. It functions well for reports as well.

Cons

I didn't love the layout and design when printing PODs. The disclaimers can be a bit blurry sometimes.

We're able to add/remove employees and additional numbers easily. Easy to use app. Fantastic customer service.

Cons

The desktop version is still a bit confusing to set up. In the app it would be helpful to be able to view the names of the business numbers you have in your my numbers list.

Ease of use and availability for the whole staff to work on it

Pros

We use multiple lines and numbers for our different clients to call in. We have to adjust the answering service portion frequently and we can do it with ease. We have to use a client hotline as well as the guest's hotline and we can manage them remotely while the dispatch team can also from an offsite location.

Cons

It would also be nice to have the dial by name directory set up with name prompts the same as the line extensions.

Grasshopper did what we needed when we needed it, but we quickly outgrew it's minimal offerings.

Pros

We used grasshopper for a year or so as our company phone system. It allowed for multiple users, a phone app and web app, as well as a web option. The transcript of calls was great, but it didn't seem to be able to link with many CRMs which made it less useful as we couldn't tell which client was calling when.

Cons

It didn't link with the platforms we needed it to and it was a hassle to switch between different company numbers, we'd have to log out and in with different account information each time.

Pros

I appreciate the sound of the gentleman's voice for the recording (it doesn't sound like a robot). It makes us feel like our customers won't be put off when we can't answer.

Cons

I love that the app now sends texts to the caller, but I would like for the text back option to be included in the price.

The thing I like most about this software is that it's just that "software". No equipment to move or maintain or obtain. Although, we sound like we have a major desk phone with a bunch of buttons at our finger tips. Since everyone in the company works from home, It gives the client the reassurance that we are serious professionals.

Cons

I would like to see more options on the app like the ability to turn on and off an extension within the app.

I have been benefited from Grasshopper having multiple extensions for sales, customer support and differents departments. This have facilited the communication with employees.

Pros

What I like the most about this software is that allows you to create one central number with multiple extensions for your employees. Also I really like that Grasshopper allows virtual faxes. It is so easy to use and a really helpful program in general.

Cons

What I dislike about Grasshopper is the inability to distinguish a Grasshopper call from a direct call when using a cell phone.

I can run my business anywhere. I'm required to be available 24/7 for my home are business. Grasshopper allows my patients to reach me anytime without going through an answering service.

I dislike paying for the many non businesss related calls. These calls are in many cases bogus robo calls
