### "There is no need for a personal and business phone with this app, it's great."

Pros

Grasshopper makes being professional and running a small business so easy. The feature to customize a 1-800 number and receive and send text messages is very nice. Moreover, there is no need for a fax machine on the go as the number can also double as a fax line, faces are simply sent to you email address. The app is easy to use and making outgoing calls or sending text messages doesn't feel like it requires a huge number of steps.

Cons

What I like least about Grasshopper is that the text message feature does not allow for receiving or sending images. My customers love that they can text us and being able to send pictures would be a great improvement. Moreover, the ability to read voicemail messages is an extra cost that I feel should be included in the price.

An amazing connection between my business and my staff and my customers made it easier for me to be always on the go family friends and always be able to have my customers reach me or my staff

I can connect all my phones And have my office on the go No matter where I am no matter what I'm doing my office is always with me it makes it so officiant for me and my staff to always be connected in our customers to always reach one of us at all times

Haven't had any issues everything works great never had a problem and I will continue to use it and if I did have a problem the staff will always make sure that it works

we look bigger than we are calls forwarding as we travel being able to set what times the phone will ring through since we work from home faxes as PDFs are awesome

Pros

changing forwarding numbers, emailed voicemails and faxes. The way our company can look HUGE when we are only two people.

Cons

The website is kind of weird and vacation voice greetings NEVER stick, that is really difficult. It is easier to change a forwarding number on the app than the website.

Pros

Excellent customer service. Their team is very knowledgeable about all of their products and services. I always received a quick response to all of my questions.

Cons

I have not had any problems with the software or Grasshopper's services since 2017. They all do such a great job maintaining their products and sevices.

This solves the issue of clients wanting to reach out by phone but not wanting to pay for a dedicated phone line for my business

Pros

I love that I immediately get an email with the voicemail attached as well as a transcribed message. It is an invaluable tool for those of us who connect with clients and do not necessarily want to give out our personal contact information

Cons

There are times when the transcribed message is difficult to understand but considering the fact that the person may not be speaking clearly when leaving a message, it definitely makes sense.

Pros

My position is very mobile- I'm only in the office one day each week. This is the perfect app for my situation. Calls are forwarded to my cell with ease. I love checking my messages from anywhere outside of the office.

Cons

I did experience a glitch recently with the log in page... only to find out I was using a broken link to log in. Clearly a user error! The situation was rectified & login is now seamless.

Overall it has been a convenient way for the team to keep track of phone calls and voicemail. And definitely appreciated the fact that the application was easy to learn.

Pros

Keeps the customer service team organized by being able to forward to different volunteers depending on their hours. Allows for an automated greeting callers when it goes to voicemail, it can also be directed to volunteers and specific departments. Accessible on both mobile and desktop.

Cons

Not having voicemail to text with the plan we currently use

Grasshopper is billed as the Entrepreneurs phone system. Unfortunately for us it ended up being more of a headache to port in, get set up, and even a headache to cancel when we moved to LogMeIn's other property- JIVE. Jive costs more, but we highly recommend evaluating it before deciding.

Pros

Decent features for the tiniest of small businesses just starting out. If you are a 1st time small businessperson with a small budget and want a call handling system, but have time to contact their support team over billing issues on a regular basis then choose Grasshopper.

Cons

\- Support is slow to respond and hard to contact. They've "revamped" their support page and it is an endless loop of FAQs. So, if they don't apply to you, you are lost for a while unless you call and wait on hold. - Billing problems. We were billed for 2 months after we ended our relationship with the company - Took 21 days to port in business phone number, way longer than industry standard. Had to get a manager on the phone to figure out a solution. - The system relies too heavily on a persons cell phone to the point where we were unsure if our number was ringing to a customers caller ID as our personal number or as our business number - Callers would sometimes get our personal voicemails when calling rather than our business voicemails.

I like that I can customize just about everything to truly make it unique to our business. It's easy to set up, easy to manage, and easy to receive and make calls.

Cons

The thing I like the least, and it's really not that big of a deal, is having to remember to go to the app to check voicemail that comes to my GH number. I wish there was a way for it to just forward straight into my phone's main VM.

Simplicity for my business and life

Pros

It comes through my personal phone which allows me to take my business wherever I go on one phone. I like that I have not one but two businesses that all come through my cell phone. This is extremely convenient for me.

Cons

I do not always know when my messages come in. I also would like to have my phone numbers say my company names when it rings through to other people.

The ability to have multiple lines with different greetings, the ability to text your clients from the app, you never miss the opportunity to communicate with your customers

Cons

slow to update missed calls . You have to wait at least 3 to 4 min for a missed call to register. This can be the time your client is calling your competor

I loved this app for the free trial and if I utilized it more often, I would buy it. It would be amazing for business use, as you can even opt in I think for a little more cash, to have a robotic answering service with great all routing features and support options.

Cons

It does cost a bit monthly if i remember but worth it for business and maybe for some personal use.

Nothing, everything is positive. The only thing that could be offered is the ability to do outgoing faxes through the program if one has a scanner or ability to scan or fax a pic.

Cost. Seems like they are making a lot of money Suprised they don't offer a yearly or ice instead of a monthly. I would love to see a more long term pricing and it's availability.

We do not have an office so all employees work from home, so this service has helped us a lot. I love how it is able to send the calls to your cell phone. I also like the app and how it give you the ability to call using your grasshopper number. It adds professionalism to your organization. The price is very reasonable for the service.

Cons

The web platform needs some updating . Sometimes calls get dropped or don't register the phone number of the caller

I compare the initial poor customer service in a business to buying something you really don't like at the store. If you don't love it in the store, you won't like it when you get home. I got the feeling that all Grasshopper employees work from home and their numbers are an extension as well (makes sense considering the service they provide). Grasshopper may be "available" 24/7, but there seemed to be very little employee support and/or concern to research my problem/questions. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Pros

I am computer literate, but the software was difficult to navigate. Be careful. It says "free trail for 7 days" but it is going to be a challenge to navigate around the "upgrade now" button on every page of the mobile site. Also, "free trial" does not include all of the services, so it is very misleading to think you are going to be able to "test before you buy".

Cons

I'm an Independent Sales Associate for a major organization that has been around for over 40 years. According to my company's website, I could set up my toll free number with Grasshopper and get free voice professional voicemail partnering through this business. When I called (the second time for a different issue) to get assistance, I was told my company was a scam. That was the last straw.

Reason for choosing Grasshopper

I will most definitely be choosing a competitor.

Once set up, we don't even have to think about it - it just works great. Customer service was prompt and helpful with our minor setup problems. Everything runs seamlessly.

Cons

Initial setup was a little tricky, figuring out how to forward people without a message and other settings, but customer service was great.
