### "Grasshopper is the best!"

Pros

Grasshopper is a great tool for any type of business- from the small local businesses to the big guys. We've tried a few other virtual phone system and were very happy to try and keep using Grasshopper. This app is flawless. The ability of customizing the setting to fit the company's needs is on point. Setting personal or pre-recorded VM, changing caller IDs, it's absolutely a favorite.

Cons

I really don't have any major cons for this software.

Pros

I use Grasshopper for my company, and it does exactly what it is meant to do. It gives a more professional phone presence without having to install an expensive phone system.

Cons

It is unreliable. Two calls can come in back to back, but they don't funnel through the system the same, and it only works if you have a stellar internet connection.

Pros

Voice to text, and easy to use. Great for small businesses. I like the call in options. The fact that you can use it with multiple businesses is great as well.

Cons

Nothing I'm very pleased, I have recommended this app to my friends and family. It is quite useful

Grasshopper has been helpful for the time being so I'm hopeful we can continue to use it as our organization grows!

Pros

Ease of use is pretty important here as companies want to set this up out of the box and get it going.

Cons

I don't think Grasshopper is a long term permanent solution for companies and calling + extensions. I think we will be considering a different service once the company gets larger that will let us automate all these services (extensions, calling, voicemails, etc)

Best way to set up a phone system and save on purchasing an expensive system.

Pros

Easy setup and most importantly the customer support is awesome. 24/7 help and always very helpful.

Cons

I can not think of anything that I do not like about Grasshopper. Of course, you can always improve and add more bells and whistles.

Grasshopper makes it easy to connect with our customers, no matter where we are. I also appreciate being able to give out my extension number, not my cell number. I like being able to shut off the business phone at night, and have calls go directly to voice mail.

Pros

It's easy to use, and with a set of features that makes us look like a big company, even when we're on the go.

Cons

I wish there was a better way to record a greeting, and it seems like the website only works in Safari, which is a real pain. I'd also like to see a more streamlined website.

Pros

It's so great with grasshopper to create one central number with multiple extensions for your employees. I love the facilities of faxes. It's a very useful program.

Cons

I find Grasshopper a bit hard to use. Sometimes I get confused with differents options. But with time I learned how to use it.

Pros

I use this product for my business to avoid using my personal line and it works great and even sends voicemails to email

Cons

I’m not a fan of the texting feature I noticed a few glitches with the response time of receiving messages

I am able to quickly answer customer calls from my personal cell phone. Answer voicemails and text messages as well.

Pros

I like that calls are forwarded to my phone. It is easy to text within the app as well as listen to voicemails. I also like that I can turn it on and off for business hours.

Cons

I wish I could see the phone number that is calling our business, instead of it just popping up as "Our Business Name". I feel like I could screen calls a bit better that way or have a better idea who is calling me back.

For your reference, Grasshopper does provide the ability to display the callerID of the inbound call as opposed to just showing your GH number when you answer the call. Extension numbers for our affiliates. We have lots of affiliates and we do not want their personal phone numbers to be public.

Pros

We use this for our 800 numbers and extensions. It is easy to setup and so far we have not encountered any issue.

Cons

Sometimes their website or admin site/page takes some time to load. But no issues on the service so far.

I set it up, then found Dialpad and UberConference which was more reliable.

Pros

Easy, cheap or free to use and setup. Didn't require phone hardware at all, just dial in features from any phone.

Cons

Weak. Calls always dropped. Never connected. I don't get it, unless it improved in the last few years.

It makes my life easier, period. Which is exactly what software is supposed to do.

Pros

I love getting my messages directly to my email. I see the numbers that call. I can change voicemails easily as I need too. It's mostly very easy to use. Over the years I have referred a lot of people to use this software because it's easier to use than others I've tried in the past. You also get more features and options here too. Customer service is helpful and they do everything quickly. So I've never gotten stuck on something for too long. Great service.

Cons

Sometimes it's hard to figure out how to get things done because there are so many options and features. If you aren't using the dashboard daily and you come back after a few months or a year you might spend a lot of extra time figuring things out because there aren't clear labels or tabs for everything you are doing on the dashboard especially extensions.

I run my business from anywhere using this software and that is fantastic. Even sitting on a beach and clients have no idea I am not in my office.

Pros

Very reasonably priced and easy to use. I love that it's just an app on my phone so I can place and receive calls for work on my cell phone without having to give people my cell phone number.

Cons

Sometimes we have issues and I can't make outgoing or receive incoming calls. very frustrating when running a business

I like that I do not have to have a main phone line to have professional voice mail for my customers. I also like the voice to text feature.

Cons

The website and navigation to get things activated and de-activated is not user-friendly. Also feel like texting should be free as very few customers would use it.

Bad. They all seemed very earnest but failed to follow up and then refused to give me a refund when they admitted the product didn't work.

Pros

On paper it looked like it had all the features we needed.

Cons

Super buggy. Would not stay synched with our email support address. Then sometimes would repeatedly resynch showing all email as new. Required redoing the gmail link each time to make it work for another few days.

Pros

I like having m all my lines in one place. Also getting voicemails sent to my email helps keep track of them.

Cons

I think it's an upgraded fuction but not being able to call back from the number they called. That should be automatic because that's number the customer is most likely going to answer

Its basic software that does it's job simply but I would recommend looking into other options.

Pros

It offers a convenient platform to manage phones from a computer with multiple lines and also a texting option.

Cons

It is about as basic as possible. Beyond the calling, texting, and call log there are almost no features. No analytics, unique features, and overall a boring application. It also limits you from mass texting which is a huge flaw.

I used Grasshopper for around 9 months to take customer support calls. The idea of being able to take the calls from your phone using this app, without giving your actual phone number, and the possibility to integrate with other softwares is great.

Pros

Ease of use. Grasshopper is not complicated at all to integrate to customer service support, which is what I do.

Cons

It is somewhat unstable sometimes, some calls are dropped and lost.

We love that everything is directed to our cell phones, we no longer have bulky phone equipment in our office. Additionally, Grasshopper is the perfect solution for our remote team members or those who work from home. We also love the voicemail transcription.

Cons

Not much. I wish they had easier options for voicemail recordings. I would love to be able to turn a vacation voicemail message on and off while saving my "regular" voicemail message.

The feature that I like the most is that you can add an unlimited amount of extensions which gives it a tremendous about of power and flexibility.

It's more cost effective than having a second line.

Pros

Not much. I got to choose my own number which was nice. All downhill from there. I would not recommend.

Cons

The connection really weak. Whenever I follow instructions to access a feature, it still doesn't work. Calling in for help takes hours to resolve or isn't resolved at all. You can't send pictures through text which I really need for my business. The lay out is really not up to date and feels dated.
