### "Making Life Easier for Adjusters"

December 17, 2018

5.0

Pros

As an emergency adjuster for insurance disasters i have found this software to be so helpful to get the job done and get to more clients faster. The measurements provided by the EagleView system are accurate and flow easily into Xactimate allowing me to focus on getting the job done quickly and accurately every time.

Cons

The only issues i have found is that there are still areas where EagleView is not yet available to get the information needed on some homes.

### "EAGLEVIEW REVIEW"

January 29, 2025

5.0

OVERALL I RATE EAGLEVIEW A+. I CAN GET A CALL FOR AN ESTIMATE THAT IS 2-4 HOURS AWAY AND I CAN EASILY REQUEST AN EAGLEVIEW AND HAVE THE MEASUREMENTS QUICKLY AND PROVIDE AN ESTIMATE TIMELY

Pros

THE ABILITY TO GET EXTERIOR MEASUREMENTS FROM A DISTANCE WITHOUT ALWAYS HAVING TO VISIT A SITE

Cons

SOMETIMES MEASUREMENTS ARE A LITTLE LIGHT AND SOMETIMES THEY ARE A LITTLE TOO HEAVY CAUSING SHORTAGES OF MATERIAL FROM TIME TO TIME AND OVERAGE ON MATERIAL FROM TIME TO TIME

### "Reports consistently underestimate the number of shingles needed on a job"

January 10, 2025

1.0

First of all, \[sensitive content hidden\] in their customer service was friendly, professional and tried to help us so kudos to her. We have been using Eagleview to provide us with a shingle report to quote on roofs and have found that the reports consistently underestimate the shingles needed.. We have been ordering their “bid perfect” report. We’re finding that this report consistently under estimates the amount of shingles needed. We had a recent job at a home completed and the basic shingle report (including waste factor) underestimated the shingles needed by 6 squares! We called Eagle and they told us that had we selected their next step up premium report (costing up to $87), we would have received a much more accurate report. I told them I understood, and could they tell me the shingles that the next step up premium would have yielded for the most recent job that with the bid perfect report under estimating by six squares (including waste factor). \[sensitive content hidden\] tried to get the report for us. She reached out to her Sr. representative who said they wouldn’t tell us the shingles that the premium report would have done for the recent job. I told her that I needed to have documentation that the more expensive report would have guoted the additional six squares in order to continue doing business with them. She had the Sr. rep escalate and ask their Sr. managers if they would help us as this is a customer service issue and they said no! So I guess they either don’t have confidence in their reports (I had given them the numbers and address of the project), OR they could care less about their customers. I’ve already called three of Eagleview’s competitors and they said they are happy to help and are providing me with numbers for their basic and premium reports for our recent projects to check them. And BONUS, they are all way cheaper than Eagleview so I’m really glad this happened. Deborah Burris Sales and Marketing

Pros

### "That's all I have to say about that"

January 11, 2022

4.0

I like the layout and the overall presentation of the information. When the report is a partial I like the change on the cover letter to express the need to double check the layout. There is a tremendous amount of data that is available from the report. I have had to call into the company a few times and let them know the material is inaccurate or if there is a section of roof missing from the blueprint. The turn around time from the order submission to report is hand is a reasonable amount of time. I think that the range of pricing is a bit much. I think there should be a better price guide for a report. Some contractors pass the cost on. You would either have to put in a flat rate or hand type the cost of every report to incorporate that cost. I know the software also calculates siding for the house. We do use it but know as much as the roof reports. The siding reports have been a great asset when I have used them.

Pros

I appreciate the breakdown of the provided measurements. I have the ability to see how much sq foot is tied to each facet of the house. I appreciate the percentage of pitch for the house to assist me with prep and cost increase for different pitch's of the roof. I like the suggested materials to complete the job.

Cons

There are quite a few times the birdbox's are not calculated into the materials. This gets me the most on the perimeter portion and I tend to get short or drip edge because of the missed areas. The data sent to my estimate software does not send the data that is suggested for the material required. This requires me to have to open the document and read the suggested amount and transcribe that info into the estimate software. At the bottom of the document is a quick snapshot of the house in total foot for all rakes, eaves, perimeter, parapet walls and so forth. If this information was in the data of the report I could extract that data into my estimate software. At this time I have to copy that section for every report. I feel that if the information is provided visually I should be able to pull the data from the report. I would appreciate 1 or 2 closer pictures of the roof detail and not just an overhead.

### "Top Quality Measurement Tool"

April 7, 2023

5.0

With EagleView, we have solved issues numerous times when there are discrepancies in the size of a roof. Specifically with insurance carries. The suggested waste factor is a great tool so that the client, the contractor, and the insurance carrier can all be on the same page.

Pros

EagleView is definitely the most quality and most respected of all the measurement tools. I like that Eagleview is the most widely accepted tool when it comes to aerial measurements. My favorite aspect of EagleView is that they provide a suggested waste factor when it comes to materials. This is very helpful in our estimating. In addition, I love the accuracy of EagleView. I have never had an issue.

Cons

I feel that the price point of EagleView can be improved. While EagleView definitely offers the best product, we struggle to decide if the benefits outweigh the price differential.

### "Horrible Customer Service"

May 25, 2023

1.0

I sat on hold for over an hour today waiting for a customer service representative who never even came to the line. I received an email over a zoned residential property that had 5 structures on it, so I clicked all parcels on property. get and email back 40 min later stating that I needed to accept the site map and additional charges would incur. I replied, I agree and please rush me the reports. It changed status to in progress and when i woke up, it was back to confirm status by calling customer service. So i sat on hold for 1 hr and 18 minutes waiting to confirm something already approved to no avail. I cancelled the report, drove out to job once again and just took 2 hovers and diagrammed the other structures. For ease of access and fast reports, we are not fans of this platform any longer..Lost long time customer, Take care.

Pros

Easy to order a report, but don't expect quality or accuracy anymore

Cons

Properties are not up to dateCannot receive a premium report because they don't know pitchesProperties with more than one structure are now multiple chargescustomer service is non existent

### "Unacceptable cost increase"

August 21, 2019

1.0

Product is excellent. Price schedule (for delivery options) is unreasonable

Pros

We like the product. We use it. But the latest charges for expedite delivery is completely unacceptable and maybe considered a scam

Cons

We are (or should say: used to be) a customer but we are not longer want to use it despite how much we like it. We are looking for other solutions The nee fee service charging for expedite results is a scam, basically, from our point of view. We never had to wait more than 3 hours to get our reports before. Now, if we want them in 3 hours or less we have to pay a premium. We know that they can actually have most of their reports in less than 3 hours. That means that now they intentionally hold the reports for 48 hours to force us to pay for premium delivery. We do not need a report in 48 hours. If we have a customer expecting our quote... they will find someone else during that time. We do not have 48 hours to wait for that report. We need that report ASAP. So, charging a premium for a 3 hours delivery (when we know as a fact that the report is done in less than 3 hours and they are just holding it intentionally) is actually increasing the price to more than double the original cost. Totally unacceptable

### "Leveling the Playing Field"

September 9, 2020

5.0

In using Eagleview, we were able to immeasurably cut down on the assumptions of risk across all our teams externally. Using the data and analytics collected through EV, many of our outside salespersons are able to completely eradicate fieldwork.

Pros

Eagleview enables even the smallest companies the same advantages of their largest counterparts, giving everyone the same advantage when comparing properties and understanding how best to serve their clients needs.

Cons

The software itself is easy to use, though the inputs are a bit vexing at times. Given that it is operated purely from satellite imaging, it can't see through trees and other obstructions, so there's noone to blame but the tree trimmers for that problem :)

Was all that was out there 4 years ago but has not kept up with the competition. Needs to address the turn around times and pricing structure when looking at the other companies doing the same thing.

Pros

Is accurate. Easy to order. Usually available for property needed.

Cons

Expensive, similar reports are out there for as little as $10.oo. Longer lead times. Others can turn in hours for no additional up charge, Need to grow woth the time

Eagle view is saving our company time and safety.

Pros

The software allows you to accurately measure your potential jobs in order for you to have a competitive bid.

Cons

One con for this software is that 1 user is allowed on at a time. In a company with 4-5 estimators this can cost time and money.

### "Solid Roof Measurements, Struggles with Newer Homes"

May 28, 2025

4.0

EagleView provides accurate roof measurements that streamline estimating, but it falls short for newer homes without satellite imagery. Obstructions like trees also complicate things.

Pros

EagleView’s detailed aerial reports, with precise roof dimensions and pitch, made quoting and material orders much faster and easier. Its integration with AccuLynx was seamless, keeping our workflow smooth for most projects.

Cons

For newer houses without available satellite imagery, EagleView was unusable, forcing us to rely on Hover or manual methods. Tree obstructions also caused issues, making us switch about half our reports, and the $15-$38 per report cost felt steep for smaller jobs.

### "Great for Estimating & Project Planning"

March 17, 2025

5.0

Using Eagle View to help bid roofing and gutter jobs makes the job better from estimating to ordering product. I've never had an issue with the accuracy of their information.

Pros

Accuracy of pictures and house measurements and data.

Cons

Living in the PNW, sometimes trees make it difficult to get good reports. Not much EV can do about that. Their 2-D reports are decent enough.

### "Charged me more for less - uncool"

March 17, 2026

3.0

Right now I'm unhappy. It's been okay in the past. Fine for basic shingle jobs. You guys are making an insane amount of money from this service and really should have tried to win me over.

Pros

satellite images are good. report is thorough and I can appreciate the options on the reports. included expected waste is helpful.

Cons

unhappy they did not read my notes about excluding the buildings NEXT to the one I needed. Paid them 145$ for three buildings and called out exactly what I wanted for one of them. They included additional buildings and then charged me more money to remove what I didn't need. You can't charge MORE money for LESS measurements. Uncool.

### "This product makes writing estimates so easy"

May 21, 2018

5.0

The reports are so easy to read and makes writing estimates so much faster.

Pros

The reports are the best part of this product. The measurements are perfectly laid out, the pictures are usually clear, and they are so easy to read. The integrations with our other software is great as well.

Cons

The only complaint I have would be when they can't get certain houses and we have to settle for the 2D measurements, which I know can't be helped, but if I had to say one bad thing that would be it.
