### "Easy to Learn"

July 2, 2026

4.0

Pros

Figma is a great, intuitive platform. Without much formal training, I was able to quickly latch onto its features. The free version is great to learn on, and and the paid versions are fair for what you gain. Prototyping is simple and easy, allowing you to focus on design.

Cons

If your computer isn’t optimized for it, it can become laggy or cause your device to overheat pretty easily. As long as you focus on the tab you’re working on, this is pretty easily avoided.

### "A modern, powerful, and essential design tool"

January 9, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Figma has been very positive. It’s a reliable, mature, and constantly evolving tool that I use successfully for both small and complex projects. It greatly improves collaboration between designers and developers and helps keep workflows efficient and well organized.

Pros

Figma is extremely intuitive and fast to use. Compared to Adobe XD, it feels much more advanced, especially in terms of real-time collaboration, component management, and design systems. Being cloud-based makes teamwork seamless. I’m also very happy to see AI features being introduced, which make the tool even more powerful and future-oriented.

Cons

The main drawback is the cost of granting access to temporary external collaborators. If they don’t already have a license, it can be expensive to add them just for a short period. Automatic renewals can also be a downside, as it’s easy to forget to remove or downgrade a license once the collaboration ends.

Switched from

[Adobe XD](https://www.capterra.com/p/168423/Adobe-XD/)

Adobe stopped actively developing XD, and it became obsolete in a very short time. Figma felt more modern, faster, and clearly moving forward, so switching was an easy decision.

### "Pros and Cons of Figma"

June 14, 2026

4.0

Pros

What I like most about Figma is its Components and Auto Layout features, as they make designing easier and more efficient.

Cons

What I liked least about Figma is that it needs an internet connection to work properly. If the internet is slow or disconnects, it can make designing difficult and interrupt my work.

Pros

We utiise this for Ux designingfor a new app that we are creating , to allow us to collabrate accross the various developement teams to ensure we have a source of truth and we can update and ensure that these have version control

Cons

I do find it quite tricky to navigate around and it can be very slow at times and also loses connection

### "Efficient and affordable prototyping for web work"

April 30, 2026

4.0

Figma has allowed our organization to more efficiently prototype client work. Creating and using components helps to cut down on the busywork of replicating elements used previously.

Pros

Figma is a very good service for collaboration on wireframes and designs, giving a fairly quick and secure way of working together and sharing the designs with clients.

Cons

Like many tools like it, Figma can be pretty fiddly to get to the exact layer or component you want to edit.

### "Game changer for UI-UX collaboration"

January 7, 2026

4.0

Overall my experience with Figma has been very good. I use it together with my designers and it makes collaboration much easier. We only use the free version and honestly we’ve never needed to contact support, which is actually a good sign. It’s a solid tool for UX/UI design and much more practical than older tools like Photoshop.

Pros

I really like how easy Figma is to use with my designers. The UX is very clean and intuitive, so you don’t need a lot of time to learn it. It’s much more flexible than Photoshop, especially for UI and UX work. Real-time collaboration is a big plus, and even the free version is more than enough for our daily work

Cons

Sometimes it can feel a bit heavy when files get very big, and performance can slow down. Also, some advanced features are locked behind the paid plans (Only 3 free pages), but for most basic and medium projects the free version is still okay.

### "THE Collaborative Design Tool"

October 15, 2025

5.0

Figma has become an essential tool in my design workflow. It streamlines collaboration, feedback, and prototyping in a single platform, making design-to-development handoff smoother and more efficient.

Pros

Figma’s real-time collaboration is unmatched; it allows multiple designers, developers, and stakeholders to work together seamlessly. The intuitive interface, component system, and auto-layout make design workflows fast, scalable, and consistent.

Cons

Performance can slow down with large or complex files, especially when there are many contributors. Offline functionality is also limited, which can be frustrating when working without internet access.

Alternatives considered

[SketchUp](https://www.capterra.com/p/211798/SketchUp/)[Adobe XD](https://www.capterra.com/p/168423/Adobe-XD/)

Reason for choosing Figma

Figma stood out for its cloud-based collaboration and ease of use — no need for file syncing or version confusion. Unlike Sketch or Adobe XD, it works seamlessly across operating systems and allows teams to co-edit designs in real time. The built-in prototyping, design systems, and developer handoff tools made it a complete end-to-end solution.

### "Value for the money"

July 9, 2026

5.0

Pros

The community library and plugin ecosystem save me a ton of time, theres almost always a free template or icon set someone's already built. Prototyping is solid too, I can mock up a full user flow and test it with stakeholders before any code gets written, which has cut down review cycles a lot. Commenting directly on designs also keeps feedback in context instead of getting buried in some Slack thread from weeks ago.

Cons

Some premium templates and advanced plugins can get pricey once your team grows, so budget conscious teams should watch that. Large files with lots of components tend to lag a bit too, which is annoying mid sprint. And if you need to work offline often, its not gonna cut it since its basically built to be cloud based.

### "Figma AI is Powerful and has its Limits"

January 6, 2026

4.0

Figma was super easy to configure and use. It has always been a great tool and has only improved with time. I would have liked to better understand the understand the integration. Documentation is sparse.

Pros

I have used Figma for years and it is an invaluable tool for product design. Most recently I used the Figma AI to build out an app. The AI is excellent and easy to work with. I found that it accelerated my design and POC.

Cons

Building with the Figma AI, while easy, results in a POC that can't be easily transitioned to other app building tools. After hours of research, I found that I wasn't able to use the WeWeb/Figma integration, which I had expected to leverage.

### "Excellent for design web/app concepts"

October 1, 2025

5.0

Overall, Figma has been a huge help for us in developing and testing website and app design ideas. It’s easy to use, keeps the team aligned, and saves a lot of time compared to older design workflows. The collaboration features are the real highlight for me.

Pros

Figma makes it super easy to collaborate on design concepts with the whole team. I really like how simple it is to test different ideas quickly and share them for instant feedback. Being able to invite teammates and let them comment directly on the designs is a big plus. It keeps everyone involved, makes suggestions easier to follow, and keeps the project moving forward. The desktop version is very stable and stays perfectly in sync with the web and cloud, so I can work anywhere without worrying about losing progress. On top of that, the interface is clean and intuitive, which makes creating concepts and prototypes fast and straightforward.

Cons

It can get a bit slow when working with very large design files. Also, if you want to use certain advanced features or export code, you’ll need to be on a paid plan, which adds extra cost.

### "Powerful collaboration and sharing tool"

March 4, 2026

5.0

Pros

Figma is a great tool that allows us to collaborate with design team. I can provide constant feedback to design team, commenting on prototypes that are been developed. Integration with Jira is great, where we can have designs attached to software development tickets and it's quite useful. Also offers reusable components and lots of different libraries.

Cons

No major issue noticed, but sometimes navigation to different folders can be a bit difficult if you are a new user. Also search tool could be a bit better understand more context queries.

Pros

Very easy to design simple things but also complicate ones. It's very easy how you can share the design with other team members.

Cons

### "Figma cuts down the learning curve to put digital design into any hands! "

August 25, 2025

5.0

Figma is user-friendly and basic enough for most users to speed through the learning-curve that any design tool allowing for our company to be more standardized in its digital design delivery.

Pros

Figma is super user-friendly and provides seamless navigation between features. I appreciate its cloud-based collaboration, allowing teams to have cross-platform access. Figma has become our number one resource for corporate presentations, content mock-ups, and product prototypes.

Cons

Figma's offerings are pretty surface-level and do not dive into more advanced settings or features like you will find with competitors with full suite offerings. The internet dependency does impact productivity in spotting locations which can impact the overall performance experience.

### "A smooth collaboration for high speed design work."

July 30, 2025

5.0

Figma speed up our handoff to developers and diminished confusion on design intent. It’s also nice that you can loop in clients without requiring them to install anything.

Pros

I love that the entire team can jump in there and comment on or tweak designs in real time. There is great sense of working side by side even if we are remote.

Cons

Performance is slow at times with large design files, especially if there are a lot of vectors or nested components.

Overall I like it. Especially for creatives who are trying to think as a user when designing apps or web interface types of tech.

Pros

I like that this is an excellent tool for the early design stages of anything UIX related. It allows for simple communication and hands-on editing by a team.

Cons

My least favorite thing is that there is a bit of learning curve. I did watch quite a few Youtube videos on the layout and tools to overcome the learning curve though.

### "Intuitive and user friendly"

September 29, 2025

5.0

The first time I used it was three years ago to design my first website. Without any prior knowledge, I managed to create the design and some simple interactions. Now I am working on my second website and am in the process of learning more so that I can get the most out of it.

Pros

The perfect software for designing websites and thinking about the user experience, it also allows you to create small creative elements for different formats. The interface is much more attractive and intuitive than other design software.

Cons

I think that although it is a intuitive software, you need some kind of training to be able to use it to its full potential.

### "Great tool for taking design to a new level"

March 10, 2025

5.0

Pros

As a product manager, Figma has completely transformed my collaboration with designers and cross-functional teams. Its real-time collaboration features make it easy to provide feedback, align on product vision, and iterate quickly. Being able to comment and interact with prototypes makes the handoff to product much smoother.

Cons

Figma is only as effective as the design system behind it, when organized well, it works great, but without structure, it can be easy to get lost. One feature I wish Figma had is a notification system to alert designers when they break a prototype.

### "Figma for the people!"

March 7, 2025

5.0

A very positive experience and love how quickly it allows you to create web pages, social media posts and the auto format saves time too. It's really designed that you don't have to keep reinventing your own wheel if you set your pages and frames up methodically and label everything!

Pros

Really critical that for students there was a free Figma available to learn and there's a huge community with tips, sharing style guides and assets to help you along. A person with no design software background can pick this up very quickly as the sizes and frames are pre-made and you can choose which grid you want use and have plug-ins.

Cons

The FigJam feature is supposed to be collaborative but feel very limited in how creative you can be, and wonder how many users actually use it for vision boards or team brain storming.
