### "Perfect for handing off designs to devs"

July 31, 2026

5.0

I've used Figma from the web developer's side, translating the design into code to bring the application to life. It's extremely useful for us, allowing us to replicate the design exactly, with precise measurements, colors, effects, and other details that were chosen for a specific reason during the prototype design

Pros

It's a very good design tool, mainly focused on UI/UX design. One standout feature is its real-time collaboration with other team members on the project, it's ideal for teamwork or simply for sharing the design entirely online, making it easily accessible to anyone who needs it. It also offers a presentation mode for the design, showing what the client-facing view would look like, with the possibility of interaction if it was designed that way, for example, buttons, redirects to other designs, effects, and so on. It includes several "frame" options, such as computer screens and various phone screen models, to specifically adapt designs to different devices. Its components are reusable. Overall, it's an excellent tool for prototyping app designs, whether for web or mobile, including designs, actions, effects, and page redirects, making it possible to replicate the full functionality the app is meant to have. It has a simple interface that isn't too cluttered, making it easy to navigate. That said, it does require a learning curve when it comes to its tools, features, and design concepts.

Cons

There's a paid plan required when you want to share a project with other users who need access to specific design details, for example, developers who need exact measurements or color codes to build the app through programming. Since everything is hosted in the cloud, file security can potentially be compromised, so you might prefer to save a local copy to reduce that risk.

### "The best collaborative design tool I've ever used"

August 12, 2026

5.0

I've been using Figma every day for several years, and I can't imagine my workflow without it. It's become much more than a design tool.... it's where ideas are explored, products are defined, prototypes are tested, presentations are created, and teams collaborate. I would recommend it to any product designer, UX/UI designer, or team building digital products.

Pros

Figma completely changed the way I design digital products. Its real-time collaboration is unmatched, making it easy to work with teammates and clients without worrying about version control. I use it for everything, from wireframes and high-fidelity UI design to interactive prototypes and presentations. Features like Auto Layout, Variables, Components, and Dev Mode have significantly improved both my workflow and handoff to developers. It's also incredibly fast, intuitive, and constantly evolving with meaningful new features.

Cons

Defineteley, the pricing model. It's very difficult to understand how it works, and they also changed the plans many times, so this is a real pain I have and I would love they could do something to solve it. Also, as Figma keeps adding more capabilities, it has become more complex for new users. Some advanced features have a learning curve, and very large files can occasionally impact performance.

### "Great tool for interface prototyping"

August 4, 2026

3.0

It is a fantastic tool for UI design boards and protyping work and really helps in simplifying wireframes and similar data to share with developers.

Pros

It is definitely a great tool which makes your life easy if you want to collaborate with multiple people with different set of goals like customer or testers.

Cons

The learning curve is quite deep if your are trying to figure the prototype settings and all. Also it lag and slow down when working on project with lot of artboards and heavy iamges.

### "Pros and Cons of Figma"

June 14, 2026

4.0

Pros

What I like most about Figma is its Components and Auto Layout features, as they make designing easier and more efficient.

Cons

What I liked least about Figma is that it needs an internet connection to work properly. If the internet is slow or disconnects, it can make designing difficult and interrupt my work.

### "A modern, powerful, and essential design tool"

January 9, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Figma has been very positive. It’s a reliable, mature, and constantly evolving tool that I use successfully for both small and complex projects. It greatly improves collaboration between designers and developers and helps keep workflows efficient and well organized.

Pros

Figma is extremely intuitive and fast to use. Compared to Adobe XD, it feels much more advanced, especially in terms of real-time collaboration, component management, and design systems. Being cloud-based makes teamwork seamless. I’m also very happy to see AI features being introduced, which make the tool even more powerful and future-oriented.

Cons

The main drawback is the cost of granting access to temporary external collaborators. If they don’t already have a license, it can be expensive to add them just for a short period. Automatic renewals can also be a downside, as it’s easy to forget to remove or downgrade a license once the collaboration ends.

Switched from

[Adobe XD](https://www.capterra.com/p/168423/Adobe-XD/)

Adobe stopped actively developing XD, and it became obsolete in a very short time. Figma felt more modern, faster, and clearly moving forward, so switching was an easy decision.

### "Game changer for UI-UX collaboration"

January 7, 2026

4.0

Overall my experience with Figma has been very good. I use it together with my designers and it makes collaboration much easier. We only use the free version and honestly we’ve never needed to contact support, which is actually a good sign. It’s a solid tool for UX/UI design and much more practical than older tools like Photoshop.

Pros

I really like how easy Figma is to use with my designers. The UX is very clean and intuitive, so you don’t need a lot of time to learn it. It’s much more flexible than Photoshop, especially for UI and UX work. Real-time collaboration is a big plus, and even the free version is more than enough for our daily work

Cons

Sometimes it can feel a bit heavy when files get very big, and performance can slow down. Also, some advanced features are locked behind the paid plans (Only 3 free pages), but for most basic and medium projects the free version is still okay.

### "Thrust into it after XD was discontinued. I'm not mad at it."

October 28, 2025

4.0

For digital design, it seems to be the best tool out there. Once XD was discontinued, I was thrust into Figma. I have been pleasantly suprised.

Pros

I find that it's a really robust tool for design and integrates really well with other tools while designing/publishing websites.

Cons

It is not for the novice... it does have a learning curve to it. I wish it had more of a "lite" version that more of my employees would feel comfortable using

### "The Flagship Platform for Prototyping and Mapping"

December 20, 2025

5.0

It's a great tool for prototyping UX design, whiteboarding for processes and concept mapping, and collaborating with teams.

Pros

I love how robust the features are as well as the various levels of user management for how deep you want to go into using it.

Cons

It can be difficult to learn if you're new to more advanced tools like prototyping. The collaborative features also can work pretty slowly and lag.

### " Best Friend for Design Validation"

April 23, 2026

5.0

As a QA standpoint, Figma has genuinely improved my testing workflow. Having a single source of truth for design means fewer back-and-forth conversations with the design team. I use it regularly to cross-check UI elements, validate user flows, and identify inconsistencies between the design and the developed product. However, I do wish it had more QA-friendly features like annotation tracking or change diff views. Overall, it's a solid tool that makes cross-functional collaboration much smoother

Pros

I like most about Figma is how easy it makes the handoff process between designers and testers. I can directly inspect design elements — spacing, fonts, colours, dimensions — without having to ask the designer every time. The prototyping and flow features are especially useful for me to understand the intended user journey before writing test cases. It gives me a clear reference point to validate the actual product against the expected design. Good in security that without access you can view the design.

Cons

My biggest frustration is the lack of proper version history visibility for QA purposes. When a design gets updated mid-sprint, there's no strong notification system to alert testers about what exactly changed. I've missed design changes that directly impacted my test cases because of this. Also, comparing two versions of a design side by side isn't as smooth as it should be, which makes regression checks on UI designs a bit tedious.

Pros

I have been using Figma for various client projects for about 5 years now. It is my go to for designing and prototyping websites. It makes communicating and collaborating with dev team easy. The software keeps improving over the years and now has better features for vector illustrations as well as faster prototyping with figma make.

Cons

The new feature, figma make, is fun to tinker around with. I think it has room for improvement on the generated designs, but it gives an excellent starting point, making my workflow faster.

### "The #1 collaborative design tool "

April 27, 2025

5.0

Figma is essential for modern design teams, with the best collaboration features. Using SaaS helps to streamline teamwork and accelerate progress from small companies to large enterprises. While occasionally there can be some hiccups with performance, Figma is still the best of the cloud-based design platforms.

Pros

Figma makes design easy and accessible to everyone. The UI is visually pleasing and responsive, separating itself from competitors. The SaaS. platform is designed with collaboration in mind from the start. It's very straightforward to share designs and add collaborators. Being able to quickly jump in and collaborate with your team members is quite liberating. Figma has many design templates to use and you can easily modify them to create your own unique designs. The free tier has a lot of functionality and is good to get started with. I haven't played around with the Figma AI features but I'm sure they'll be quite popular in no time.

Cons

Figma doesn't always work well with large complex files. This can result in slow responsiveness and occasional browser crashes. Use caution if your project is particularly resource heavy. While the UX is mostly great, there are a few quirks and a learning curve to figuring out all the macros and keyboard shortcuts. As Figma is cloud-first, offline mode is rather limited.
