### "Figma review over 4 years"

April 13, 2026

4.0

Figma has been a great tool—clean, modern, and easy to work with, especially in a cross-functional setup. It improves clarity between design and development and speeds up reviews, and even with the occasional performance or workflow friction, it’s still one of the most practical design tools I’ve used.

Pros

Figma makes collaboration feel effortless—designs are always up to date, and it’s easy to comment directly on the exact element without back-and-forth. The design system support is also a big win; components, variants, and shared libraries make UI work more consistent and faster to review.

Cons

Large files can get heavy, and performance can dip when a project has lots of pages, components, or prototypes. Also, version history and branching are useful, but they can feel a bit confusing unless the team is very disciplined with naming and workflows.

### "A modern, powerful, and essential design tool"

January 9, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Figma has been very positive. It’s a reliable, mature, and constantly evolving tool that I use successfully for both small and complex projects. It greatly improves collaboration between designers and developers and helps keep workflows efficient and well organized.

Pros

Figma is extremely intuitive and fast to use. Compared to Adobe XD, it feels much more advanced, especially in terms of real-time collaboration, component management, and design systems. Being cloud-based makes teamwork seamless. I’m also very happy to see AI features being introduced, which make the tool even more powerful and future-oriented.

Cons

The main drawback is the cost of granting access to temporary external collaborators. If they don’t already have a license, it can be expensive to add them just for a short period. Automatic renewals can also be a downside, as it’s easy to forget to remove or downgrade a license once the collaboration ends.

Switched from

[Adobe XD](https://www.capterra.com/p/168423/Adobe-XD/)

Adobe stopped actively developing XD, and it became obsolete in a very short time. Figma felt more modern, faster, and clearly moving forward, so switching was an easy decision.

### "Game changer for UI-UX collaboration"

January 7, 2026

4.0

Overall my experience with Figma has been very good. I use it together with my designers and it makes collaboration much easier. We only use the free version and honestly we’ve never needed to contact support, which is actually a good sign. It’s a solid tool for UX/UI design and much more practical than older tools like Photoshop.

Pros

I really like how easy Figma is to use with my designers. The UX is very clean and intuitive, so you don’t need a lot of time to learn it. It’s much more flexible than Photoshop, especially for UI and UX work. Real-time collaboration is a big plus, and even the free version is more than enough for our daily work

Cons

Sometimes it can feel a bit heavy when files get very big, and performance can slow down. Also, some advanced features are locked behind the paid plans (Only 3 free pages), but for most basic and medium projects the free version is still okay.

### "Figma / Pros & Cons"

December 27, 2025

5.0

Pros

The best part about Figma is the cross platform possibility which Adobe XD could not provide. The new AI integrations also serve a huge purpose making figma a peak creative platform. Also their customer support is one of the best in the field.

Cons

In overall, Figma is one of the best Designing tools. But the limitations of plugins and their paid usage is a downside I've noticed in figma. It also has minimal possibility for animations but it covers up the flaw through its AI and prototyping with smooth navigation.

### "THE Collaborative Design Tool"

October 15, 2025

5.0

Figma has become an essential tool in my design workflow. It streamlines collaboration, feedback, and prototyping in a single platform, making design-to-development handoff smoother and more efficient.

Pros

Figma’s real-time collaboration is unmatched; it allows multiple designers, developers, and stakeholders to work together seamlessly. The intuitive interface, component system, and auto-layout make design workflows fast, scalable, and consistent.

Cons

Performance can slow down with large or complex files, especially when there are many contributors. Offline functionality is also limited, which can be frustrating when working without internet access.

Alternatives considered

[SketchUp](https://www.capterra.com/p/211798/SketchUp/)[Adobe XD](https://www.capterra.com/p/168423/Adobe-XD/)

Reason for choosing Figma

Figma stood out for its cloud-based collaboration and ease of use — no need for file syncing or version confusion. Unlike Sketch or Adobe XD, it works seamlessly across operating systems and allows teams to co-edit designs in real time. The built-in prototyping, design systems, and developer handoff tools made it a complete end-to-end solution.

### "Excellent for design web/app concepts"

October 1, 2025

5.0

Overall, Figma has been a huge help for us in developing and testing website and app design ideas. It’s easy to use, keeps the team aligned, and saves a lot of time compared to older design workflows. The collaboration features are the real highlight for me.

Pros

Figma makes it super easy to collaborate on design concepts with the whole team. I really like how simple it is to test different ideas quickly and share them for instant feedback. Being able to invite teammates and let them comment directly on the designs is a big plus. It keeps everyone involved, makes suggestions easier to follow, and keeps the project moving forward. The desktop version is very stable and stays perfectly in sync with the web and cloud, so I can work anywhere without worrying about losing progress. On top of that, the interface is clean and intuitive, which makes creating concepts and prototypes fast and straightforward.

Cons

It can get a bit slow when working with very large design files. Also, if you want to use certain advanced features or export code, you’ll need to be on a paid plan, which adds extra cost.

### "Figma is the best tool for interface design"

August 30, 2025

5.0

I have used Figma from the beginning in my everyday work as a UI/UX designer. It is intuitive, it has everything you need for the interface design process, and they always surprise us with some new tools and functions. I want to emphasize the function of teamwork and collaboration there, you can work with your team on the same document in online mode, leave comments, and make changes right there. You can create components and whole libraries/UI kits for your projects and share them with your team. This function is highly important, especially when your team creates a huge interface with many screens. It is absolutely worth the money; the pricing is fair. Also, there is a free version if you want to try it out or use it only for personal projects. It is perfect for interfaces, prototypes, and wireframes. With a new function, 'FigJam', it works for brainstorms, mind maps (very useful), and other projects when you need to create a structure or a user journey map, for example. I love the 'prototyping' function; it can be used for live prototypes, for navigation tests between the screens, or even to present your product to the client. Your projects are stored online, and I didn't have any problem with it, but maybe you should consider having backups sometimes. Actually, I didn't have any issues at all during my work on Figma, so I've never had to contact support. Each Figma update comes with new features or subtle interface changes. I use it for digital products and for some print projects, because there is no more comfortable product for a clean design, interface design. But, for more advanced drawings, designs, or professional photo editing, I use other products. There is a community option, where you can find mock-ups, icons, and other digital assets for your products. Also, there are many useful plug-ins, for example, for finding icons, stock images, or lorem ipsum texts and putting them into your interface. The plug-in library is huge, and it is always updating, such like the community. For developers, there is an option to convert your design directly to code. Of course, the app doesn't do all the work for you, but this function might be helpful. Also, there is an app called 'Figma Mirror', where you can see what your interface looks like on your phone in online mode. This is so useful. Figma is my digital workspace, I'm happy with it, and I have all my projects there. I totally recommend it, and I'm planning to continue working there.

Pros

The best interface is when you forget about the interface. Figma was made by designers for designers. You can concentrate on the design fully, and there are plenty of tools in Figma for it.

Cons

Figma is primarily a tool for web design/interface design and other digital design products. If you want to use it for print design, you may find some difficulties: there is no CMYK profile there and there is no export option in 300 dpi (but you can use some tricks for it or a plugin). The new draw tool is pretty nice, but the brush settings are limited compared with other software. You need an internet connection when you work there; sometimes it might be limiting.

### "Thrust into it after XD was discontinued. I'm not mad at it."

October 28, 2025

4.0

For digital design, it seems to be the best tool out there. Once XD was discontinued, I was thrust into Figma. I have been pleasantly suprised.

Pros

I find that it's a really robust tool for design and integrates really well with other tools while designing/publishing websites.

Cons

It is not for the novice... it does have a learning curve to it. I wish it had more of a "lite" version that more of my employees would feel comfortable using

### "The industry standard go-to app for designers."

November 14, 2025

5.0

It's the industry standard and it's understandable why. Adobe dropped the ball on this one. Sketch failed to respond.

Pros

Ease of use, all the features I need and has responded well with decent AI enhancements and new feature sets.

Cons

Can be a little bulky and sluggish at times, but it seems to have improved. Plug-ins are a little arcane as well.

### "Figma is going from strength to strength especially with their API "

September 16, 2025

5.0

Figma is a fantastic front end tool for multi-user design & collaboration & I particularly love the API access, meaning you can even run AI agents that can create/amend designs/user interfaces on the fly

Pros

Figma have recently upped their game with the introduction of their API. This means that users can now integrate Figma with various LLMs and guarantee programatical design through SaaS services like Zapier, N8N etc

Cons

Not much to be honest. The user interface is a bit laggy sometimes on certain systems but all in all they have done a great job.

### "A great product for professional web designers"

December 5, 2025

5.0

It's a great product and i use it with other 3rd party programs like UX Pilot. I am currently a subscriber to the product. I enjoy using the program in my work flow, such as designing mobile apps and web apps.

Pros

Easy to use, quick to start designing products. I like the user interface because i can easily start prototyping my software without frustration.

Cons

There isn't much i dislike about figma. The user experience could be better designed. Using 3rd party plugins can sometimes be frustrating to use.

### "Powerful collaboration and sharing tool"

March 4, 2026

5.0

Pros

Figma is a great tool that allows us to collaborate with design team. I can provide constant feedback to design team, commenting on prototypes that are been developed. Integration with Jira is great, where we can have designs attached to software development tickets and it's quite useful. Also offers reusable components and lots of different libraries.

Cons

No major issue noticed, but sometimes navigation to different folders can be a bit difficult if you are a new user. Also search tool could be a bit better understand more context queries.

It's a great tool for prototyping UX design, whiteboarding for processes and concept mapping, and collaborating with teams.

Pros

### "Figma is the best"

March 4, 2025

5.0

My experience has been splendid so far. Figma helps me complete my work on time by providing a variety of tools in one, and also for designers, we have the plugins part where we can run other plartforms to get icons, mockups, and many other activities, like removing backgrounds from images. This is really convenient and comfortable.

Pros

Figma is easy to navigate and easy to use. It has a wide variety of features in one, like figjam to create low-fidelity prototypes, slides, and all the software tools you need. This is all a software developer needs in one place.

Cons

Not all font types are available, and when you download some from your local machine, figma does not display all of them. That might be frustrating. When one wants a story mapping boards you have to search online for a beginner it is not diplayed directly on the app.

### "A web based tool designed to be web based and surprise it's for the web."

February 21, 2025

5.0

I'm happy with Figma and find it replacing certain tasks which I would have previously done with Illustrator. The other very positive thing is 3rd parties can also share templates which you access with Figma and I have noticed that several companies now provide figma based Facebok Ads, Conversion website templates in Figma as it's a bit like Google docs but for images and graphics, with the ability to also edit them and change them.

Pros

I like that it's web-based so it's easy to share with remote workers who can easily access it.

Cons

There's a bit of a learning curve when it comes to auto-fitting for different web formats.

### "Figma Newbie Learns Quickly"

April 13, 2025

4.0

A small startup I worked at used Figma to create our UX/UI design overhaul on for our new website.

Pros

It's well-known in the industry, which means that members of our team had used it before - decreasing the learning curve and the time that can add to the workflow. Overall, it feels easy to use, great for people without a lot of experience in UX design, has a free tier with paid add-ons, and pre-built design kits. I'd use it again.

Cons

I feel like it's a bit clunky to use at times, and I wish it were a bit more visually friendly (more color contrast for example). Sometimes I struggled to understand the flow of what other users on my team were thinking, and I belueve this is something Figma could improve upon: helping display a timeline or flowchart of how to click through a wireframe or some sort of direction that shows what all members of a team are thinking. It would get everyone on the same page easier and cut down on meeting times.
