### "Figma is the leading design platform for tech product driven businesses"

May 15, 2024

5.0

Figma is used across our entire business for product design, prototyping, design and asset printing and more. It is the operating system we need to scale our design capabilities as we grow. I couldn't imagine us using another tool for design.

Pros

Figma has so many excellent qualities but a particular value add for us was the ability to build a component library. This enables us to give the entire company access and turns them into designers since the components of the design have been pre-built. We create thousands of assets for clients so this enabled us to create a design system with infinite scale.

Cons

It isn't the easiest tool to learn and there is certainly complexity that can be overwhelming with tools like Canva on the market.

### "Interactive prototyping"

September 7, 2021

5.0

Pros

In my organization, Figma is used for wire-framing, prototyping, and conceptualizing functionalities and features for enterprise services and web-based applications, among other uses. Throughout the process of developing solutions to delivering the designs to developers, Figma is a tool of choice for all of us. Commenting and collecting client feedback is a breeze, and it is also easy to track client approvals. It is possible for multiple users to edit at the same time and it visually differentiate the users if they already signed-in.

Cons

Importing the images as per the various needs improvements since when I try to import the images to Stores, they will end up being incompatible. It would be nice if they offered an offline editing option, similar to Google's offline extension.

### "Best UX/UI draw platform"

December 21, 2021

5.0

The overall experience is very good and the features outweigh the problems. We have a team of 10 using the software and 4 developers and everyone can use it without any problems.

Pros

The best feature of Figma is the collaborative tool, where all the team can work together and at same time. Another great feature is the prototype tool, making possible animated prototypes with great quality and shareable to everyone to test on their own devices.

Cons

Comparing to other softwares like Sketch, Figma has a problem with importing vectors. If you want to import a vector or image, you need to export it as SVG to later import it to Figma and if you are using Sketch you only copy in illustrator or another software and paste in the sketch.

Switched from

[Sketch](https://www.capterra.com/p/171364/Sketch/)

First of all, because of the collaborative functionality, in second place because it works with mac and windows and even on the browser, and lastly because of the pricing.

### "Figma at a glance "

Pros

It's prototyping and collaboration features 💯. The in-app figma voice call feature has made presenting my designs to stakeholders easier!

Cons

### "Umständlich, schlechtes Interface"

January 31, 2024

3.0

### "Figma is powerful!"

September 29, 2022

5.0

I really like Figma. It’s free as well for users. I have been using Figma for UX Design, UI Design both for almost 2years now. The features are really nice. Sharing of designs is also very easy across the Design and Development Teams.

Pros

The application is super amazing. It’s easy, simple and smooth to learn. Figma has really powerful features that not many applications across design have. I loved the global edit feature for colors across all screens/artboards. I also like the variants feature with components, that is really helpful. Also, when we share the designs for feedback via Design Review feature, there is a feature for the users to actually comment on any part of your design. So, you can actually fix those designs as per the comments and mark it complete. Really amazing feature to collaborate easily. Multiple users can also design simultaneously on the very same file. I love Figma!

Cons

The fact that it’s now been acquired by Adobe Xd.

### "Modern tool built for web design and development "

January 6, 2024

5.0

Great! Highly recommend. It's simple enough to use for low fidelity wireframes and powerful enough to design fully fledged, high fidelity apps.

Pros

You can tell it's been built for modern web design and development. The most powerful part being the automatic code generation when selecting elements in Development mode. The collaboration mode is amazing, and it does really well when multiple designers are in fact editing at the same time. And the comment mode is super helpful. There's nothing quite like an inline pin + comment (compared to feedback with screenshots and emails like in the past!).

Cons

The pricing is a bit steep, but it's a tool of the trade. It would be good, however, to have leaner multi-user plans.

### ""It was a perfect tool until the latest updates""

July 7, 2023

2.0

Pros

Functionality, easy navigation, interface, community, plugins

Cons

Currently, I'm designing a website consisting of a relatively large number of pages compared to my previous projects. However, I've encountered an issue with the latest updates in Figma, the design tool I'm using. After the recent update, Figma started displaying the amount of memory being used, which has exceeded 77 %.Figma recommends deleting unnecessary files to optimise memory usage, but I have already ensured that there are no extra files in the project. It's frustrating to face these performance and memory issues even before completing the site.Consequently, I am compelled to consider alternative design tools since working on this project constantly battles productivity. It's disappointing that Figma is unable to handle the required number of files for a single project, and the proposed solution of splitting the project into multiple files seems impractical.I have been a user of Figma for several years, but the recent influx of new features and updates has significantly hindered the program's performance. This situation prompts me to question whether these improvements were necessary if they ultimately resulted in such a critical deterioration of the program itself.

### "Figma is an essential part of our design process"

February 8, 2022

4.0

Figma is an easy to use design system for collaboration. I love how easy it is to collaborate on design elements and store them in the system. Figma is a great way for me to stay organized and productive with my designs.

Pros

Figma's great sharing tools are a top reason to use this high-quality app. We all go there to get anything that has been created and know it will be on-hand for reuse throughout our apps and dashboards. We use it as a DAM in that way, too.

Cons

Sometimes the folder structures can be a little confusing but it's manageable.

### "Using figma for UI and Prototyping"

October 12, 2023

5.0

Well, I am still using it as my primary software for UI and Prototyping. I am very comfortable with Figma.

Pros

I have used Figma regularly for UI and Prototyping. It very easy to use and understand. I can easily import vectors for my UI and I can export the UI elements for Development. Prototyping is one best feature in Figma. It enables the High End Experience to my clients before development.

Cons

New users may feel bit confusing in the start. Also, we need to be online to access our works. It doesn't support offline mode.

### "Fastest to facilitate Design "

May 13, 2022

5.0

The experience was very good, the community is growing and is very collaborative , is great

Pros

One of the points that have surprised me since I started using it is how light and fast is figma and not only on pc but also in the browser, the new update of dark mode is great, all the plugins that can be added that facilitate the work even more, The easy to use, all the design tools, prototyping and especially the option to view the css code and be able to generate SVG, CSS of my designs is great for me to pass the design to development more easily, the autolayout that was recently added is great, it makes our life easier and I love its clear interface.

Cons

the Organization: Figma shows you the components (in the Components view) by group or Frame (Artboard in Sketch). If a group is inside a Frame it is recognized as a Frame. You have to be very tidy for the Components view to work and to be able to work optimally. To organize it you can hierarchize and prioritize among all components (e.g. you could keep the existing hierarchy for components within the design system). If you are in the Components view and you try to rename a component, it does not change to the Layers view it is recommended that when a component is to be renamed we have the Layers view active so that we can see the layer, the previous name and the new name of this one.

### "Best Companion for designer."

July 16, 2021

5.0

I'm working for 2+ years with Figma. Before that, my team and I tried a lot of other programs but none of them satisfied us as much as Figma. When it comes to price, comfort, features & flexibility, Figma is by far the best.

Pros

Working together with a huge team in one project simultaneously feels just good and natural. No merging of changes is required. Everything is saved in a cloud so you can access it from everywhere. You also can work from a lot of devices since it only required a web browser.

Cons

I think the presentation mode could be improved. It already has a solid base for interactive design presentations but I wish there would be more options/possibilities in the future

### "My favorite UX prototyping tool."

December 9, 2021

5.0

Improvements with smart animate and transitions, everything, it's just evolving at a fantastic rate, while proving to be the most reliable/stable solution I've found.

Pros

Switching from other editors was incredibly straightforward, and I love the reliability and versatility of the software. If I'm in the middle of a project and switching between desktop and mobile solutions, everything is accessible so long as I just have a browser. The graphics editing tools/features are robust, and increasingly more fleshed out each iteration.

Cons

I feel like there are elements of the file structure/organization that could be improved upon. I had to edit some buttons that had become attached to an animation sequence I'd created, the icons should've remained stationary but were migrating with the animation between frames. I eventually figured out my issue but it wasn't as intuitive as I'd anticipated. Somehow the icons had become inappropriately nested in another group, which was probably my issue, though once you achieve critical mass on that level it's difficult to keep track of where you are.

### "Figma is an excellent choice for efficient design processes and development handoff"

January 21, 2021

5.0

I'm on a UX team for Finance performance solution software. We work on difficult products with lots of unique problems to solve on a daily basis from admin screens to analytics visualizations to bringing excel-like functionality to web-based solutions. Overall, Figma lets us collaborate and work quickly with tight deadlines and agile teams that need to also understand what we are designing.

Pros

Figma is easy to learn, and available on any computer thanks to its web-based capability. Versioning comes in very handy, as well as commenting, sharing, and fairly user-friendly prototyping features. Figma is affordable, but scalable. You can have a very robust UX team utilizing it. It's a user-friendly wireframing and prototyping power house.

Cons

While it's easy to use, there's still a learning curve. I was a Sketch user, and Sketch is still faster to design in. Also, if you want a really complex prototype, it can get tricky. And, having a local version of Figma is still cloud-based. So, working offline will give you limited capability.

### "The best remote-collaboration and UX/UI tool for designers"

May 29, 2022

Pros

\- Best in class, real -time remote collaboration - Completely customizable with a large amount of available plugins, made by the figma community - Cost effective, for personal use all its features are free and for a work license its still very affordable - Works great on the desktop app version as well as browser

Cons

\- Lacking some features like video/audio integration within designs - File management system of figma needs to be simpler - Access to different teams and accounts gets confusing to manage

Nevertheless, Figma is a very potent tool that enables cutting-edge user and team communication as well as much more. It is a top-notch design tool that can compete with the greatest alternatives available. Even so, I'd argue it defeats Sketch.

Pros

The capability to transform my static design files into interactive prototypes without having to write any code has impressed me the most as a Figma user. I can quickly link UI elements and select my chosen animation and interaction choices by using this method.

Cons

### "Best tool for design we ever had"

December 18, 2023

5.0

I'm doing almost everything in Figma - UI design, graphic design including simple vector illustrations, icons, presentations, mindmaps and moodboards. I even made a photo book for print there (might not be the best idea - but it works). The best part is that I don't have to worry about my setup, I can open Figma from any laptop and continue with my work.

Pros

Not only it became an industry standard, it also gave the ability to start designing for everyone who owns laptop with an internet access, for free. A lot can be done to improve the experience and features, but honestly -no other tool is even close to Figma, and I tried a number during my 10+ years career.

Cons

Creating interactive prototypes is not quite there yet. Components are sometimes messy to manage and there are a couple specific bugs. Also, would be great to have a functionl mobile version (I know that's a lot to ask, but one can dream)

### "Review for best designing tool Figma"

August 5, 2023

5.0

In the past, I would use a pen and paper to doodle rough schematics to show my clients what their final product will look like. But ever since I started using Figma, it's been simple not just for me to create prototypes, but also for the customer to get a clear idea of the product they'll receive from me. It helps clear up any questions about the requirements.

Pros

By far, FIGMA is the program that I enjoy using the most. Because it is so fantastic, every designer falls in love with this software. Because figma contributed to building trust, guiding emerging designers, and successfully addressing all needs, we can refer to it as a blessing for the design industry. Additionally, using it is easy. The Figma software's creators went above and beyond to satisfy each and every user need. You won't use anything else after you start using Figma.

Cons

When there is no internet connection, it cannot work function as well. Additionally, Figma occasionally slowed down significantly when I loaded large files.

Overall, Figma offers a wide range of design and prototyping features, including vector editing, prototyping, design components, and integrations with other tools, that make it a powerful and versatile tool for designing and prototyping digital products. and i'm in love with this product.

Pros

### "Figma Reviews"

July 30, 2021

5.0

I really love Figma as it make my task easier and give me the architectural interface of how my project will look like particularly website making.

Pros

\*Its usage in designing is awesome creating protoype of website in telling how website will be look like. \*It can also be used to design social media post like photoshop. \*It can also be used to design nice looking logo like Adobe Illustration. \*User friendly when getting the knowledge of its usage.

Cons

\*You get in online and then go offline while designing but the issue is that while offline some collaborating tools must have been getting online to effect the task. \*To learn is not that easy but with time it can and in that period you will just be looking at screen. \*User compatibility is not that much and not all graphic designers get the knowledge as it has other tough competition to Adobe XD, Invision etc.

### "Useful tool to collaborate with others on designs"

December 31, 2023

4.0

Pros

Good way for the design team to collaborate with others on designs and have everything in one place. Once people on the team get the hang of it, they can use it to make edits, leave comments, code based on the designs and more. You can also save previous versions of a design on the same file to have an archive for later reference.

Cons

You have to switch to the desktop version to edit some text because certain fonts are not available on the web version. It'd be helpful if there are horizontal tabs or some other UX to have the option to quickly navigate to and show just one design within a file, instead of having to scroll up and down and left to right to find it and seeing all the designs beside each other. It'd be useful to have smart features like being able to add a guideline on a design that stops elements from being able to be moved beyond that point. Much easier to follow than strictly visual guidelines.

### "Great for any level of experience"

December 13, 2021

My overall experience with Figma is great, and I will continue to be a dedicated user

Pros

The most impactful features with Figma is having pre-loaded screen dimensions set up where i don't need to figure out the size of the device I'm designing for (iPhone 12, Galaxy S20+, so on). What is also neat is being able to have plug-ins integrated to make designing mockups go by faster.

Cons

What I like least is not being able to see the preview of certain fonts I want before clicking on them. It'd be nice to have a hover affect and seeing what the fonts look like
