The process of locating and retrieving asset data along with user credentials is carried out efficiently and accurately.

Pros

The user interface and directory were simple, intuitive, and easy to navigate and manage efficiently

Cons

The server can sometimes be quite laggy, which causes noticeable delays and slows down the loading of the entire interface.

### "Comprehensive review for JumpCloud"

January 20, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with jumpcloud was great, and I'm still learning some new features that we can use to mainstream for our organization.

Pros

On Normal User Perspective: \* Easy to use - Very Direct - When I logged on to console, I can already see the applications that is bound to me by admin - Simplicity makes it even better. On Admin Perspective: \* Easy to Manage the Users \* Easy to Manage the Devices connected to it \* Easy to create User Groups \* Easy to create Device Groups \* Easy to manipulate the policies of device and user groups \* Easy to patch/update the apps through Commands \* Easy to Implement on devices

Cons

On User Perspective: \* Non so far. On Admin Perspective: \* Loading issue to the devices that is connected to Device Group - When there is around 300+ devices that is bounded to the device group, rhe end user was experiencing loading screen before login interface appear for about 3 to 5 minutes. \* Delay in reflection of commands and updates - Sometimes when we are pushing some updates through command, it is not reflecting to other devices even when we restart the device and confirmed that it is online, it's still not reflecting on device. \* Internet Connectivity Dependence - The JumpCloud is reliant heavily to stable connectivity to maximize it's functionality \* On Customer Support - Sometimes when we file a ticket, it takes time before it was addressed properly.

### "Great Tool for Endpoint Security and Simplified IT Management!"

December 11, 2025

5.0

JumpCloud is great! It has everything our company needed in an intuitive and performant package! Great features, logging, reporting, and an API and webhooks for anything you might want to build on top of it!

Pros

JumpCloud has a very clean UI, intuitive controls, and helpful dashboards. It was really easy to learn and there are lots of helpful tooltips and information popups to explain how features work. Conditional Access Policies are just what we needed to secure access to our corporate resources. JumpCloud is definitely worth the investment! Our account team \[sensitive content hidden\] has given us very prompt and quality support. We can definitely rely on them to help us solve our endpoint security problems. The remote access tool is great too! I've been able to easily and securely help our employees solve IT problems.

Cons

There's not much to dislike. For some feature requests, I wish there more "refresh" buttons on views so that I could reload the data on stuff like command results without having to do an entire page refresh or go back and forth between the queue. I also wish that you could directly link device policies to users so that any device a user has would adopt the device policies assigned to the user as applicable based on OS.

### "Great tool that keeps getting better!"

December 10, 2025

4.0

I have used JumpCloud at two companies; my current company, as well as my previous. In my previous role, I stood JumpCloud up from scratch with no existing infrastructure in place for SSO, MDM, etc. In my current role, we had an existing instance that was heavily utilized. In both instances, working with JumpCloud has been a breeze.

Pros

Learning to use JumpCloud is extremely simple. I have utilized JumpCloud at two different companies now, and in both instances I have been able to adapt quickly and implement the features that I expect. Additionally, working with our account team at JumpCloud is almost certainly the best experience I've ever had with a vendor. Overall, our experience with JumpCloud has been fantastic, and whenever we do have issues that we surface to our account team, they are quick to respond and resolve our issues.

Cons

There are times where I encounter a feature that is missing that really should be there. This can be frustrating at times, but usually we can find a workaround. Another con to using JumpCloud, especially as an IdP, is that most vendors do not have out-of-box support for JumpCloud, and sometimes we lack features as a result.

### "Simplicidade porem fraca "

December 10, 2025

5.0

### "Good, but there’s room for improvement."

December 10, 2025

5.0

The overall experience has been very positive, and the feedback we’ve received from users has also been excellent.

Pros

JumpCloud is simple and intuitive to use. Anyone with a solid understanding of system administration can get fully onboarded within a day.

Cons

The platform added some very basic new features like asset management and wants to charge extra for that.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing JumpCloud Directory Platform

It is more intuitive and easier to use. Since we have a small team, that was the solution that made the most sense.

### "JumpCloud is not only an Identity platform, but a great Security resource!"

December 10, 2025

5.0

Had little trouble learning how to manage the JumpCloud Directory as an admin and I'm constantly being positively surprised by the new features and ease of secuirty actions on devices.

Pros

The JumpCloud Platform's dashboard is continuously displaying new functionalities which builds trust and good expectations concerning the platform's capability to help manage not only identities but also devices in such a detailed way that, in terms of Security, JumpCloud touches more and more what security agents can do!

Cons

Some doubts concerning how the JumpCloud agent works could be more detailed in the documentation (especially when the agent is being used in macOS and Linux distributions environments).

### "Outstanding MDM, SSO and Directory Services Platform"

November 2, 2025

5.0

One of the most impressive things about JumpCloud is how they take customer feedback so seriously. I recently met the \[sensitive content hidden\] of JumpCloud, \[sensitive content hidden\] and he was very interested to understand some of the features we would want to see in future iterations of JumpCloud and he had his product team listen to these and include some of these in future builds. JumpCloud is already such an all round MDM, directory services and SSO platform with many useful features for a modern and hybrid workplace.

Pros

JumpCloud provides an outstanding alternative to Microsoft Entra ID as a directory service and combines this with a single sign on solution for multiple platforms. JumpCloud is also one of the best dual operating systems MDM on the market. JumpCloud provides excellent value for money, customer support and integrations to third-party application.

Cons

There is not much I can fault with JumpCloud. If I had to be picky I would say it does not have as much integration with Macs as Jamf or Kandji does or as much integration as Microsoft InTune does with Windows machines but it is rapidly expanding and adding more features on a regular basis.

### "Jumpcloud Review"

December 10, 2025

5.0

The overall experience with the is characterized by modernization, simplification, and platform independence. It is often viewed as the ideal solution for companies that have outgrown traditional on-premises directories or those that were "born in the cloud" with a hybrid (mixed) environment of Windows, Mac, and Linux devices.

Pros

Jumpcloud is cloud active directory tool unlike traditional solutions tied to on-premise infrastructure (like Active Directory), JumpCloud was built entirely for the cloud. Users highly value its ability to be the single source of truth for identity across diverse cloud and hybrid environments.

Cons

The Complexity of Advanced Policy Management. While the basic setup is easy, managing granular, complex policies across mixed operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) can sometimes be less intuitive than dedicated OS management tools (like Intune or Jamf). Some users feel the policy engine lacks the deep, native controls offered by platform-specific tools.

### "A Solid All-In-One Directory Solution for IT Teams"

December 10, 2025

5.0

JumpCloud has been a powerful tool for managing users, devices, and authentication in one place. The platform improves security with MFA and SSO while reducing manual administrative work. Overall, it’s been a smooth and productive experience

Pros

Employees can manage their own passwords and have smooth login experiences via SSO. Policies for security, passwords, patches, and configurations help automate IT workflows and reduce manual work.JumpCloud makes it easy to manage users, devices (Mac/Windows), and access controls from one unified admin console.

Cons

The platform can feel a bit complex at first, especially when setting up advanced policies or integrations. Some features also require additional configuration that could be more intuitive. Reporting and audit logs could be more detailed out of the box. Some areas still need improvements to match larger enterprise directory tools.

### "A Reliable Directory Platform That Simplifies IT Management"

December 18, 2025

4.0

Overall, my experience with JumpCloud has been positive. It’s a solid and reliable platform that helps keep users, devices, and access organized. While there are occasional issues, it still makes day-to-day IT management much smoother.

Pros

I like how JumpCloud centralizes user and device management in one place. It makes managing access much easier, especially in a mixed OS and remote setup. The integrations with other tools are also very helpful and save a lot of time.

Cons

There are times when the agent runs into sync or connectivity issues, which can be a bit frustrating and usually requires extra troubleshooting. Some features also take time to fully understand, especially for new users.

### "JumpCloud has quickly solved many long term problems"

July 9, 2025

5.0

Overall JumpCloud has been a a massive improvement over our previous solution, both in performance, reliability and consistency. Even with us only tapping into a fraction of JumpClouds true potential, the benefits in Device management and visibility have been, without question, superior to our previous setup.

Pros

Compatibility: JumpCloud works with our previously supported Operating Systems, both Windows and Mac JumpCloud has also allowed us to expand our offering to company employees. Many users desired to use a Linux based distribution but we were unable to accommodate this with our previous MDM but with JumpCloud we've been able to officially support the release of Ubuntu to the company. JumpCloud is able to integrate with our Inventory Management Tool, AssetSonar, and give us up to date information for all of our devices. AssetSonar now has an updated agent for devices running both Ubuntu and Debian. JumpCloud integration allows us to make sure the information stays consistent by providing additional redundancy. Speed: JumpCloud is super easy to setup. As soon the agent is installed, which generally takes less than 2 minutes, the device appears in JumpCloud and information starts being reported. Even more so now that we have the Automated Device Enrollment enabled for macOS, this process is even more seamless and so far has allowed us consistent control of the devices in our fleet. Support: JumpCloud support has been extremely helpful. They are responsive and thorough. If they don't the answer to a solution they go and find out. Our biggest support issue with our last platform was that we didn't really receive any support. We would submit a claim and they would either respond slowly or give us limited information for our problem and then drag out getting a solution from them for months with little to no communication. JumpCloud has been nothing but helpful, even with small seemingly obvious problems.

Cons

The lack of customization for Reporting. There is a very limited selection of reports that can be run and information that can be exported. JumpCloud does not have a native method for changing account passwords nor does it store the randomly generated passwords for the JumpCloud service accounts and the user accounts that were automatically created by JumpCloud (Windows). For us, we use JumpCloud as an MDM exclusively, but our passwords are managed externally as we are using the federated integration. This could use some improvement to allow us the ability to manage passwords locally in JumpCloud without changing a users default password which will then be sent upstream and affect the Federated account. JumpCloud doesn't have direct integration with any security platforms that allows Admins to view the statuses of devices from the Admin console. This creates a situation of constantly having to try to export and compare limited reports between JumpCloud and our Security Platform. Non-Standard features (Not a dislike but a possible improvement to consider): JumpCloud doesn't possess the ability to create custom fields for devices in order to store additional information JumpCloud doesn't have a quick method of accessing our integrated platform

Reason for choosing JumpCloud Directory Platform

JumpCloud allowed us the most flexibility with our device offering compatibility with Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and several flavors of Linux.

Switched from

[Rippling](https://www.capterra.com/p/172127/Rippling/)

Rippling, as an MDM, was extremely unreliable. The agent would often fail and need to be reinstalled. The installation, especially on Windows machines, would sometimes take upwards of 12 hours to fully complete the installation process. Device information was not updated regularly, no integration and the deployment of custom scripts was vague and also unreliable.

### "My Experience with Jumpcloud Directory Platform"

January 4, 2026

4.0

My overall experience with is easy to use and operate. It will manage and monitor both users and devices making management more efficient, even for daily administrative task and it's flexible and accessible without using any VPN.

Pros

For me, I like in Jumpcloud, It can actively monitor the users and devices information. It's easy to use and operate. I like the best thing in Jumpcloud is the flexibility, It's accessible anytime and anywhere.

Cons

For me, I don't like about Jumpcloud, It cannot separate device policy to user policy. It can only apply or set policies on the device not on the specific users, so even the local administrator user profile account is affected by the restrictions and It's challenging to configure, isolate and troubleshoot.

### "Jumpcloud Review"

December 18, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with has been positive and productive. It provides a centralized, cloud-based solution for managing users, devices, and access, which simplifies IT administration and enhances security.

Pros

What I liked most about , I really appreciated how quickly I could create new user accounts and give them remote access. It made managing our team much simpler.

Cons

What I liked least about is that some advanced features can have a steep learning curve, and initial setup or configuration may take extra time. Additionally, occasional limitations in customization or reporting can require workarounds, which may slow down certain administrative tasks.

Very solid. We manage Mac and Windows and users we are very satisfied. Support agent are well trained and even help with complex issues that I wouldn't them to.

Pros

Commands (scripts) are robust. MDM configuration is quite easy. SSO is configured pretty much easily. PowerShell module is really good for automation.

Cons

Lack of dynamic groups depth. Mainly for device groups. No option to exclude groups/devices from a policy/command Basic conditional access.

### "Great for simple standardisation"

December 10, 2025

4.0

The platform is a cost effective asset to help small business reach IT standardisation. It allows us to rest easy knowing that there is a single platform we can use for user management. We use the platform to orchestrate connections to various services, as well as device management

Pros

Jumpcloud Directory is a great service for achieving organisation consistency. It has been a dream for helping us reach iso certifications. There is some clunkiness in the platform still, but I think that will resolve as the platform matures.

Cons

The application is slightly clunky - my use case of simple management for a small business is often slightly tricky.

Works well and covers together few OS and allows you to manage the devices and users from one place, lately also can work as update manager, have yet to try that one.

Pros

You can manage most OS from it, Windows, Linux ad mac from a single system. With features being added and improved from time to time.

Cons

You do need to prepare suitable policies and "commands" per OS. sometimes its not that easy to find what you need (documentation usually helps here)

The overall experience is wonderful for system administration, user management, and other features, which are very helpful in managing it. It's a nice and value-for-money product for the company, and jumpcloud customer support and remote access are also good!

Pros

It's user-friendly for both regular and admin users. New IT personnel can easily understand it and manage it smoothly.

Cons

In some cases, the jumpcloud agent services do not properly respond in windows os. like if we update any policy or command, it takes more time to implement on the Windows system.

5.0

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 = Best possible exxperience, I would rate it a 9 out of 10. Only reason i did not rate 10 out of 10 is due to the afore mentioned end user device migration

Pros

Value for the money, comprehensive coverage acros multifaceted end user environment. Light years better than our old Entra AD environment.

Cons

Some challenges with end user device migration. We made many attempts to script the steps needed to migrate users devices but in the end had to abandon the automated script and perform each migration manually....

### "Beyond Legacy AD: Driving Hyper-Automation and Zero Trust with a Cloud-Native Directory"

December 26, 2025

5.0

JumpCloud is not just a directory, but a strategic efficiency multiplier. In a Fintech environment where security and agility are non-negotiable, JumpCloud facilitates a "Secure-by-Design" architecture through its Zero Trust framework. Instead of paying for and managing four different agents on the endpoint, we now manage one. The ROI is realized through the reduction of licensing fragmentation, the automation of the employee lifecycle, and the mitigation of security risks associated with manual configuration errors

Pros

the primary value driver is Vendor Consolidation. JumpCloud effectively collapses the traditional "Identity Stack" (AD + MDM + SSO + RADIUS/VPN) into a single, cloud-native control plane. Zero-Touch Deployment & ROI

Cons

Advanced Data Visualization & Global Admin RBAC Scoping: While the Directory Insights provide raw telemetry, the native reporting lacks the high-level "Executive Dashboarding" required for compliance audits and C-suite reporting without piping the data into a third-party SIEM or BI tool. For a distributed global IT team, the Administrative Roles could be more granular.
