It seamlessly integrates with Google Workspace, enables efficient device management, and automates tasks. With constant updates and a user-friendly interface, it's a complete IDP solution for our systems. Cons is a solid alternative to Active Directory, but lacks some features like Google Groups and iOS management. I was able to eliminate the costs of hosting a datacenter for my client and reduced their overall IT costs by 30% or more. This allowed them to use that savings to leverage other cloud based services to enhance their entire business model. Pros JumpCloud DaaS helped me move an organization from an expensive hosted AD environment to a cloud based one which provides much needed security and ease of use for my registered users. Its licensing scheme was cost effective, its inherent ability to migrate users onto the platform easily was great, and its administrative portal is very easy to use. Cons I haven't found any cons yet. The software runs very well. Whenever I did run into issues with the deployment or setup the help team was prompt and knowledgeable. Review Source JS Justin S. JumpCloud isn't going to help you with that. However, it has advantages in the sheer scope of what it includes that, I believe, put it over the top. Give it a look, and don't let Microsoft's legacy platform control what everyone standardizes on. Pros JumpCloud is perhaps the most serious alternative on the market today to Active Directory. In addition to providing a directory service, it includes MDM, RADIUS, and plenty of other technologies that Active Directory does. I love having access to everything in one place with nothing to maintain. Cons It isn't Active Directory. JumpCloud is a great alternative to Active Directory, but when you're dealing with tools that are built specifically for Active Directory, you're still out of luck. Review Source AG Alex G. It integrates well with M365 so signing on users are fast. Best thing is that the first 10 users are free so it's a great tool for companies that needs to manage less than 10 devices Cons Learning curve on installing the client for MDM is a bit steep but once you've managed to install it on a device, subsequent devices are quick to be installed. Plus, it is amazing that we don't have to worry about setting up and maintaining a Directory server. Another bonus is how JumpCloud can also be used as an inventory, with a lot of useful information about each machine. And there is still a bunch of features still not explored by our team. Cons Setting up a new machine for a user remotely is still a little (very little) painful, since it requires manual intervention from the user. Pros The fact that I can have an active directory and SSO managed for Macs/Ubuntu and Window users all in one place is amazing Cons There's a bug and it locks our users, especially in Ubunto but also in Macs and it caused a HUGE inconvenience for us. Takes support time to respond.
