The ability to be able to have an IdP that offers all of the common features (SAML with SCIM, push notifications, RADIUS) that my customers use without having to license for more than a single person is immensely valuable to me. Cons I haven't had enough opportunities to be able to test all of the features, especially the mobile device management. Beyond that, I haven't yet found anything that I dislike. Pros The features seem straightforward, and I have heard no complaints from the users and security engineers. Cons I'm not entirely clear what it does, but maybe that's the point? It's supposed to work without hindering day to day activities. We are streamlining onboarding of employees and management of all our SaaS accounts. Pros The product is very easy to use and helps us work more efficiently. It also help us unify security settings across all of our devices without having to change all of them manually. Computer set up is much smoother now using the agent. Cons I wish they had MDM for PCs in addition to Macs. Also, setting up the RADIUS server is difficult because there are so many different kinds of networking devices. As it is a very intuitive system I had no major problems in deployments or support. Even JC support is fantastic. Pros Easy deployment. While I chose a competing Apple MDM solution, it was not because of dissatisfaction with JumpCloud. The Apple solution does not work with PCs, so I stuck with JumpCloud for those. At the price point (free) and the basic functionality provided, I am able to meet my audit and compliance targets with little effort and at a bargain. September 13, 2019 5.0 GREAT! This service has been FLAWLESS! Pros I like the integrations and synchronizations to other applications. Specifically, we use a hybrid AD approach. It works great! We’re also using the RaaS for dynamic vlan mapping. VERY impressed! Cons Wish there were more options that we didn’t have to customize via the powershell API. I don’t remember all of the cmdlets and have to look them up every time. Head of IT Computer Software Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Finally you can step away from Active Directory " September 10, 2019 4.0 at present we have a poorly implemented AD for windows users, and nothing for mac, Jumpcloud allows us to manage all endpoints Pros having being frustrated with AD for many years, it's great to see a solution that is capable of truely replacing AD and supports policy for windows and Mac. customer on boarding is superb and there are new features added all the time Cons I think there's a couple of areas where things can be harmonized, IE starting policies that should be rolled out easier. for example screen lock time out, is a policy for mac, windows, and linux, why not harmonize some policies that are cross platform. The interface is simple and everything you need to manage users and associated systems and applications are easy to find. Cons Policies to deploy to systems are a cool feature, however, there are too few policies for Linux. A community driven for policies could be very interesting. We have a number of end points we would like to use DaaS for but until we completely understand what the abilities are and how to segment the customers we are afraid to move forward. If we can find another option with better support we will move to that option. Pros The concept is great. Directory as a service is what is needed as I move customers to the cloud. Once I got over the initial installation and understanding of the install process we have been successful at setting up a handful of computers. Cons There is a lack of training. The staff is always too busy so the idea of support is sending the user to You Tube and saying watch this. After a few months I still do not have a clear understanding of what all I can do with the product. I have integrated O365 but I still do not fully understand how the password integration works. Pros Very easy to deploy, and does what it advertises. Do not expect all the mega granular functionality of Microsoft AD, but for a small to medium business, it covers the basis. Strengths are managing remote workers, and ease of use. Cons Migration tool is OK, but could use "push" functionality. All devices are not automatically added to the "All Devices" group. Cons Software Management is great however, i met with a non available feature that is critical for our business. All users are setup as standard user. We can install and manage via Software Management applications needed for each individual users. However some applications necessitate to be run everytime as an administrator and there is no feature for doing so and manage exceptions.
