General Manger Retail Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Ross's Review" August 12, 2021 5.0 Very good, it had completely changed our business since we started using it 9 years ago. Pros We use the import and take off as well as disto to draw plans on site daily. Software is easy to use, take offs easy to understand. Saves loads of time, we never lose copies of plans now and look professional. Cons We still find the pricing worksheets hard to adjust so still use a excel spreadsheet for pricing of jobs. We would also like to be able to interlink all our information into Xero. Pros I have so much more room in my office now that I don't have blueprints and huge files all over the place. Cons When I look at the new version I feel like I am looking at a beta version of software. I'm sure in the long run you have improved functionality but the the 2015 version just looks better and things are in places that just makes sense to me. Maybe some day I'll have the time to learn the new software but I just don't have time to learn all over right now... and I haven't' since it came out. I hate that I pay for the new version but still use an unsupported one but some day I guess I'll have to make the switch. Review Source KS Kyle S. From implementation, to support, and releasing updates they are fantastic. Pros We love the detail you can achieve through the software. We easily create shop drawings for architects and installers. Cons The grout add-on doesn't work well since it deducts the area of the grout from the net area. This is especially impactful on mosaic tiles if you plug them is as say a 1x1. We stopped using the grout joint setting because we consistently under ordered mosaic tile. Review Source MM Matt M. Cons Trying to fit an coordinate the carpet pieces is not easy. It recalculates all of the rooms whenever you move one thing, erasing a lot of work. The mobile software needs greatly improved. The software we used prior to MeasureSquare was the same estimating software it was 15 years ago, MeasureSquare has improved in the two years we have been using it. They also consistently ask us for feedback and ideas on how to improve their product. Cons The only complaint that I have had was that the system is very robust with so many functions available, we often do not know it's capabilities. Review Source BH Brandon H. Pros MeasureSquare is easy to learn, use and teach. But what's really impressed me with MeasureSquare is how dynamic the company and software have been and continue to be. They seek out suggestions from users like us, review and implement them. When we have support requests or questions, we get immediate and direct assistance. I couldn't be more satisfied with not just the product, but with the overall customer experience. Cons My least favorite thing about the software was a larger issue when we first started using and has become less of one. It's how much more developed the desktop version is than the iPad version. If a feature is available and used in desktop, it needs to be available and used in the iPad version, and vice versa. Review Source BG Bob G. They take great pride in giving the end user the tools they need to get the job done. Pros Ease of use. Ability to see each area where tile, carpet, vinyl & wood is to be installed so our installers can put the right material in the right place. Cons I would like the ability to see my plans on my I phone in the field without having to save in a a PDF file. Review Source BL Brian L. Pros Easy to use, 3D function is nice for presentations. Spreadsheets offer great summaries for bid day. Cons Ability to create patterns can be cumbersome. Should be able to create spreadsheet for each individual tab. Ceramic tile setting materials should be equated per lbs not gallons. The cloud function doesn't always work seamlessly. Whilst there are still a few things that would be good to be able to tweak, it still gives me all the information I need, and more. Cons At times you can put a fair bit of work into manipulating a layout that you wish to achieve, the wrong click of the button can undo all of it. Product Add-Ons assist in making sure everything is in an estimate. Pros Easy to get up & running. 3D tool is great for confirmation of material application, especially walls. I also find the graphics to be very useful in selling product and helping the customer more fully understand the installation. Cons Tile creation is one of the hardest aspect. It is intuitive and the features it provides are far superior to Callidus. Cons There is a slight issue with the calculation of rolls of sheet vinyl where it sometimes tells you one less than you actually need. Tile pattern designs are almost endless.. Copy and Paste wall profile is one I use almost every project. I don't think there is anything I simply don't like. Cons I wish you could build a room with wall tile and trim pieces on outside and inside corners, then copy and paste by x or y axis without it rearranging the trim pieces.
