We have always to prove the capabilities of Exasol compare to Oracle and other wellknown databank system. Pros Exasol provides a lot of great AI solutions in its AI labs that i am particulalary excited to experiment with. It is also nice that they are optimized to run for analyisis request! In highly regulated businesses such as finance and healthcare this is an important keypoint in terms of compliance and data safety. In addition to that why really enjoyed the amazing support that exasperated gave us during the poc and implementation steps. Cons In the past i worked a lot with procedures where i can directly transform large amount of data via sql. Exasol has UDF and Lua Skript but stored procedures are missing. Pros the organization was really great, food tasted good and intersting and relevant topics. Especially the first presetnation was extremely intersting and helpful. Cons I am dissapointed, because from the 48 speakers there were only two women. One of them was a moderator (not a speaker). IT is unnacceptable, especially because the conferene is two days after 8th of March and seeing such poor representation. Also from the point of viow of participants, it was mostly male dominated. Pros The performance and Speed is one of the finest in industry. The customer service was top , we were contacted personally by the solution engineers in Exasol . As a German Tech providing DWH , Exasol stands out as the best in the entire country! Cons Price for SAAS license is a little bit more than expected. And Exasol is totally customer centric and support us and try to fullfill our needs Pros The high Performance analytics engine wich helps us process Terra Bytes of data over night to get the data prepared in the morning in time for our customers. Cons We use on-prem and the high costs are our biggest pain-point. Due to regulations and the amount of data we process each day a pay-per-use cloud solution isn't really a choice. Pros It can handle large amount of data very easily. Data Extract is very fast because this is a in memory database. LUA scripts is good option to implement the ETL in Exasol. Data can be visualized in any data visualization tool like PowerBI, Tableau etc. so it can integrate with wide variety of data visualization tool. The Exasol community provides excellent support with predefined SLA based on the complexity. Cons The performance of Exasol data is very fast so its very easy to extract/display large amount of data in Exasol. The LUA scripts are pretty must similar than Stored procedures of SQL server database so you are working on SQL server database so it is best time to migrate your database to Exasol with minimal efforts. Switched from [Microsoft SQL Server](https://www.capterra.com/p/1417/SQL-Server/) Previously we were using SSIS to extract the data from multiple sources like csv and excel and loading the data in to SQL server database. SSIS packages took lot of time because the file size is very large. Then we move from SSIS to Exasol database and created LUA script to load our csb files which we receive from the client on the daily basis. Since this is a inmemory database so data loading and extraction is very fast and reliable that's why we switched to Exasol database. No need for expensive tuning. Wide language support and massively scalable. Cons I have found nothing not to like. EXASOL is a gem that you would be foolish not to consider. Reasons for choosing Exasol Wide support of languages and very fast SQL engine. Efficient storage and highly scalable. Support for data streaming and huge number of users requesting bespoke analytics in parallel. Company with vision, strong engineering and great support.
