Cons Merchant One has unlawfully debited $537.90 from two accounts of mine. I opened the accounts in September 2023 and immediately closed them after they pulled a bait-and-switch with the processing hardware. They claimed the closed the accounts and even refunded $19.95, but since that time have charged a total of $537.90 between the two accounts. They claim the accounts are closed and they are not charging the fees, but they are. This is, in my opinion, a criminal enterprise to be avoided at all costs. Switched from [8am LawPay](https://www.capterra.com/p/177253/LawPay/) I switched to lower my credit card processing fees. My company is a current customer but in the process of replacing them. We went through underwriting, were onboarded, but it became apparent that they were trying to sell our account to a different company, and we were ignored. They claimed we were onboarded improperly and they sought to sell us to a different funding platform. They wanted us to sign different contracts, all while assuring us that nothing would change. But, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\], never returned communications (emails, voicemails, etc.) and even the \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\], ignored our requests for communication. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] claimed that she would help us, but also failed to respond to inquiries. And yet they keep collecting fees. I wouldn't be surprised if the company is a front for some fraudulent activity. Pros When MerchantOne initially reached out, they were very eager to earn my business. Cons Nothing about this company was as advertised. Pros Terrible service, you won't find pros here. Cons Swipe the card, money has been withdrawn from clients card. Never deposited to my account. This company collect money, and never releases. As a small job to job company. It will kill your company. I purchase equipment, do the job, then collect payment. Customer is happy with my work, merchant one still my money, and I'm left broke unable to bid the next job. Pros The processing machine was cute. Everything else was bad. Cons This was my first experience using credit cards for payments, so I didn't know anything about it. The salesperson took advantage of my inexperience. He told me only about the 1.5% processing fee. I was never told that the hidden fees were almost as high as those on your telephone bill. The salesperson shamelessly misrepresented the costs. He told me I could cancel my contract at any time, but did not tell me that canceling would result in a costly penalty. I am going to pay the penalty for cancelling because I won't tolerate being treated so badly or dealing with a crooked business. Please don't sign up with this dishonest company.
