We were constantly having to email docs back and forth between the team and risking the possibility of someone working on an outdated file. This allows us immediate shared access to the same document.

Pros

Once it is set up with all the right media files it is easy to create and send proposals. It also gives me the ability to see when/how often proposals are accessed by potential clients. It is a much better presentation tool than simply utilizing PowerPoint or Word docs.

Cons

The photo sizing is more restrictive than I'd prefer.

Pros

We received this software in July 2019, and is a learning experience. Unfortunately, I am not yet able to recommend this product while we are still trying to get familiarized with it.

Cons

There were more pages to go through as opposed to Fivestar.

...emails don't connect to contact only to account ... would like to be able to customize colors on calendar to allow for different stages of the sales process.... ex. tentative, confirmed, signed contract, method of payment, etc.... allows you to look at calendar and know exactly where you are in the process with each client ...more steps to set up events

We are still learning the ropes but the team has been great about answering all our questions, and coming up with creative solutions.

Pros

Love the organization and ease of being able to see what groups are scheduled in the calendar. Seeing the reports of group pickup is also useful to track pace and expected revenue.

Cons

There are no separate folders for uploading contracts. Having everything filed under activities can get cluttered- especially with mass correspondences.

Pros

Easy to use, intuitive and good value for the cost. Perfect fit for our small hotel. Our sales team enjoys the interface between the RFP tool and contract builder.

Cons

None that I can think of - we are very pleased.

It is easier for me to track my pipeline and groups that are on the books. But I still have to track volume contracts separately.

Pros

STS integrates with our PMS system and it's easy to use.

Cons

The integration with our PMS system is just for groups, not volume contracts. Also, formating documents is challenging because it is not to scale.

because of the interface with our PMS system. However, the integration is limited to just groups.

Pros

The ease of using it, I have working knowledge of Sales Pro and Delphi, I like STS best

Cons

The fact that when you have to check dates between GRC and Function Space it does not save the date if you have to go back and forth.

I noticed that the system does exactly what you program it for. The limitations are based on the business needs of the client

Pros

The ease of making an opportunity which can be merged into a proposal all in the same booking. This eliminates the back and forth we normally have to deal with when loading and documenting activities.

Cons

Function Space does not allow for 'second option' space blocking. With multiple manager and programs

I can't speak to any problems that I am solving with this software and that may be due to my novice use of it. I am able to track groups that we book into the hotel.

Pros

I don't need to get into this as much as my general manager but when I have, at times I have found it easy to work with. I am able to duplicate some groups that stay with us on a regular basis.

Cons

I was a little confused when I first got onto the website as I wasn't given much training. I had to figure things out for myself. I hope I am doing everything ok.

Pros

I like the simplicity of getting events booked in and adding the services they require. The "quick lists" that you can select from make it easy to enter information quickly. Very easy to learn and catch on to.

Cons

I wish cancelled events would still show up on the function diary - maybe under a separate line on that day so you can see the events that were booked.

I dislike we can not remove the catering portion of the program and my hotel does not have any meeting space or dinning space.

Overall, I think STS is very easy to use and makes making/altering reservation pretty simple. However, from a revenue point of view, it is extremely hard to capture data from this system. Reports that can be pulled from other systems are not available on this system.

Pros

Love how easy it is to use Not difficult for the average person to use.

Cons

The lack of options for reports and retrieving production data.

Pros

So easy to load I information, they help you get documents loaded incl contract and you can create your own proposal.

Cons

Only one glitch which was fixed quickly. I do not have much or any negatives

When you make edits (modify) your BEO, and then update something in the event such as the number of people, when you Re-Merge, you lose all the edits. Wish there was a way to input the new changes without losing the modifications that were made.
