Moving our cycling club to MyClubHouse as been great. We've been able to provide a professional looking club website with an integrated event management system and now a mobile app. There's so much configuration available I don't think we sacrificed any flexibility and at the same time simplified our club IT processes. However, the best thing about MyClubHouse is the incredible support we receive from the team at Simmetrics. They often respond within minutes, quickly offering advice, alternative approaches and solutions to questions. They clearly know their product, and their customers, and are a big part of why MyClubHouse is great system for our club.

Pros

"Out of the box" professional looking website. Great event management. Fantastic support. Useful mobile app for our users. Continues to be developed with frequent new enhancements and features.

Cons

There is a lot of configurability, so some areas to require a little bit of thought when setting up.

MCH is excellent, affordable, well-supported and I’d highly recommend it for club & society admin. It has all the features we need and more. The transition from our previous platform was trouble-free. We feared we’d lose members but that did not happen.

Pros

The software is well thought-through and contains everything a membership organisation like ours with 300 members might need.

Cons

Like any new software, it takes time to get the hang of it, but \[sensitive content hidden\] gave us hours of support which was invaluable with our on-boarding.

We are a multi-sport club (1500 members) with complicated family and group membership requirements. We have a fairly complex sports membership 'mix and match' capability that operates over different seasonal periods each year. Using myClubhouse we have implemented all of these requirements accepting payment be Card, DD and cheque/cash. Moving from a home-grown system, we have been delighted by the logical, thoughtful support we have received from myClubhouse with very practical 'How to' Teams sessions, and written instruction documents to cover mass DD transfer from our existing supplier. We're now entering our second year of use, planning to extend the users to our sport section leaders to give them contact and event management capabilities they simply didn't have before. I suspect we will be using this service for many years to come.

Pros

The service is impeccable. Whilst we were moving from a home grown system, we were helped through a number of calls to get our data transferred, our DDs working, and general 'how to' help.

Cons

I have too admit that the breadth of functionality was a little intimidating at first. But once we got the hang of how the parameterisation worked, we were able to implement all the functionality we needed.

Pros

I can fully customize my club website according to the needs and preferences of our organization. From member and event management to booking and payment management, everything is in one place and organized.

Cons

So far I haven't found anything I don't like about this platform. It has exceeded all my expectations and has provided all the tools I need to run my club efficiently.

Very good software and the capabilities it gives us allowed us to navigate through Covid and beyond. A large time saving in administration with the automation of membership and renewals as well as the payments integrating into the Finance software.

Pros

The ability to integrate our membership and payments into one system that is GDPR compliant.

Cons

The web content part is a little basic needing some knowledge of HTML.

Pros

Keeps our data secure, we can run various reports concerning the membership held. Our records are kept up to date. It is very easy to contact our members by email when needed at short notice to play in matches.Our members can check for rink availability and book online when previously everyone had to phone the club and we held manual paper records.

Cons

I cannot think of anything at the present time.

We have been very impressed with myClubhouse, right from initial contact, product demo, first time set up from our exisiting database, then the huge range of features and fantastic customer support from \[sensitive content hidden\] and the team. We have reduced or eliminated most of the most onerous admin tasks, removed errors through previous cross-platform use and made it much easier for both our members and administrators to interact with the club. It might seem expensive at first, but is worth every penny - as treasurer I wouldn't want to do the job without it again.

Pros

myClubhouse has brought together our membership list, joinging & renewals, events booking, finances and website. For the first time we have one place to administer everything. Hours and hours of admin have been saved across the committee, freeing us up to spend our time developing for our membership.The features are extensive and customisable, allowing us to make everything fit our structures.

Cons

The only downside is the website has so many features it can be a bit of a steep learning curve to get started and learn how to implement what you want. The customer support is fantastic to help you though.

Overall I think it has been a great success. It has made us look a lot more 'professional'. We're able to keep the website up to date much more easily without asking too much technical skill of the coaches. Support has been very timely.

Pros

Our management of club training events has been transformed. We can manage and record attendance on the spot, and we no longer deal with cash at any event. We are also much slicker in how we manage the membership including subscriptions etc.

Cons

Just a personal thing, but I find a few of the pages a bit too fussy. There are features we don't really use , but there's no way to fully 'turn them off'.

Nice people. Give zoom/video tuition when required. Not tried all the features as yet.

Pros

Keeps the database of the membership and allows payments for products and discounts.

Cons

Tricky at times. A few bugs to begin with, and some still being sorted out. Do not like the 'help/support'. Only done by filling a repetitive form and waiting for a reply. Sometimes you just need a quick phone call which would speed up the process as it stops workflow.

Dear Ruth, Thank you so much for taking the time to reivew myClubhouse for your American quarter horse association. I am sorry you are not keen on our third-party service desk system. Unfortunately we don't currently have the resources to operate a dedicated support line but we do get fantastic feedback on both the timeliness and helpfulness of our support team's replies, so I hope that it is still a good option. As you say, we will always arrange calls or video tutorials where necessary and it was largely thanks to your feeback that we were able to improve our user guides and introduce some video tutorials on the CMS module. It is early days so I hope you get the chance to try some more of the feautres soon. We would also love to hear what your members think of our system. Kind regards, Joanne
