Cross Platform - It works like a charm on my machine. I use Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, and it's a little old operating system, but it works without any issues. I've tried a lot of PDF readers, but none of them were as good as Foxit.2. Color Schemes - It comes with various inbuilt color schemes, and all of them fit perfectly with the PDFs which really improves the whole reading experience.3. Page Style - Takes one click to change page style from "single page" to "continuous" to "facing" and more.4. Annotation tools - Foxit is packed with a good number of annotation tools that can be used to take diverse varieties of notes. Foxit Reader lets me mark up pages and also create a new PDF summarizing all the comments. I haven't even tried all the free features, but it's great for anyone who needs something other than Adobe to view and comment on PDFs. Pros Foxit lets you view PDFs without having to sign in (needing to sign in is a feature that I find highly irritating in Adobe Reader DC). It's easy to navigate, responds quickly, lets you add bookmarks, and provides full commenting/annotation tools, including letting you summarize the comments in a new PDF. Cons When the comments panel (on the left) is open and I'm editing a comment, some of the later comments disappear off the bottom of the screen and I can't reach them to hit the "OK" (save) button. I also wish I could use some keyboard shortcuts to select or jump within comment text (like Ctrl+arrow). It has made my life much easier as I have to edit and manipulate documents constantly in my work responsibilities. It is a much more user-friendly program to use with PDF's than the more widely used adobe program. Pros I absolutely love the editing tools in Foxit. It makes it very easy to manage pdf documents that you need to combine, edit, and manipulate into fully proofread, polished documents for sending and filing. Cons I was not aware of it until my company loaded it to my computer. I think the Foxit company should do a better job of marketing the Foxit product. I recently had a co-worker go to work at another company and she said that the new company had never heard of Foxit and now she is forced to go back to using Adobe which limits your ability to edit and manage pdf documents. It is easy to find support and documentation on internet. If you don't want to use you browser as PDF reader and/or you need more features I recommend this product. Pros Foxit PDF Reader has free features that other programs don't offer, so if you are an individual and don't need the full licensed product it is a valid choice (if you run a company, choose the license plan instead). Free plugins are available (OCR, Docusign...) Plus it runs much better than another widely used product, with no errors and random hanging. I particularly like using the Safe Reading Mode to open doubtful files downloaded from the internet so that my pc will not be affected by viruses if embedded in them. The updates are not as regularly as the other software I was using but you get the feeling they only release updates if they really have to and the effects are usually noticeable. For a non-techy person like me, I like that the interface functions are not plenteous and is very easy to use. Cons In the course of my duties, I do a lot of search within the files I work with and must say foxit reader search function is unreliable. I have learnt to do it using other means like the windows search function. I do not know if it is my pc but I have problems when opening files larger than 60mb on foxit reader. It is a very important feature, that is not avaliable on most other PDF readers. It also opens the document bigger, since the side bars are hidden when you open the program. Cons I can see my Microsoft 365 are slightly slowing down and freezing every 10 to 20 minutes when i paired it with this software.
