" May 26, 2019 5.0 With the foxit reader , I can create protected PDF files and can work with the platform with lack of knowledge regarding the platform. Pros With foxit reader platform, i was able to simply view and read the PDF files without any issue. There are simple user interfaces which we can work easily.Zoom in/out feature also quite good and smoothly working.Also we can create PDF files from common file formats which we are using.Also our PDF files are protected with high standard security measures. Cons As a con , it may take up sometime to generate large PDF files but it totally depend on our raw file format size.It would be great if we able to customize the toolbar menu because too much options may confuse the user. So I looked for an alternative to Reader. It is quick and easy and does just what I need done. Pros I like that it loads quickly and without a lot of extra junk. It does most everything that Reader does. I am able to markup my business reports without messing them up. It does just enough so I don't have to open Acrobat every day. Cons It has a little ad in the corner that opens up when you mouse over that sometimes gets annoying when it stays open just a little too long. Pros Much more compact than adobe's suite, has all the needed features and have not had a problem displaying any pdfs. This is the best pdf reader right now. Pros Foxit Reader is the best pdf reader around, this reader has so many features like sign pdf, highlight the lines, add comments, this reads the pdf for you. There are different modes like reading mode, night mode, text viewer too. Adding shapes to highlight is a very useful thing when you need to highlight a point in a image or the pdf. You can directly share it to onenote, email or evernote easily. Cons With all those features i dont feel anything is left out for an average user. This software is almost perfect. Lightweight and doesn't require too many updates or interruptions. Easy to use GUI with well thought out placement of items. Cons Some features continually get enabled after every update. Seems to try and get more "customer experience" and "data collection" more so than in years past. Can occasionally get buggy or crash causing numerous instances to hang in Windows. This product also comes standard on the laptops where you had to pay additional for the Professional version. Pros We switched to FoxIt as a company in 2019 due to the product being installed automatically on our new laptops. It was a huge adjustment going from the Adobe Professional version. Once you take the time to learn the product, then it will be found that it has more features available. Cons Due to the product not being utilized more, then there are not as many instructional videos or helpful tips to walk through. I love this app and it is highly recommended to anyone. Pros Finally I can create and edit PDFs with ease, and it so lightweight that it does not crash my computer. I can also convert, combine pages and even draw my PDF files in a free version of PDF app. This is truly my default PDF app for my working computer. Overall its a great program I use it over adobe reader for sure. I would give it a try and see what you think. Pros It is pretty easy to use and you can also scan directly into foxit and make a pdf file which is actually quite nice. It does things that most pdf viewers has plus you can print to pdf from any application overall. Cons The ads and updates can be a bit annoying like their splash screen. It consumes few resources and maintains the speed of the graphical interface. All document review is sped up. Pros Comparing against another PDF software, I like its lightness and speed to start and visualize documents. Also, there is a one-time paid price for PRO version which helps to economize, unlike subscriptions where you must pay month-a-month. Cons I found difficult protecting documents with certificates and Adobe Experience Manager. If one of our customers or clients use Adobe solutions, the protection using these advanced mechansims may be not fully compatible with Foxit, and we need to downgrade to legacy and less secure protection like passwords or external encryption software. Pros This software makes it easy to create and manipulate bookmarks in files that are multiple pages and sub pages. Cons the part i like least about this software is it is generally not the default pdf reader. So on most of our work computers it is used and much easier to maneuver around in than other pdf software. The only downside is that it is not entirely free. Pros There are several things that I like about Foxit reader. First, it is a very lightweight program and does not take up a lot of space on my computer. Second, it opens PDf files quickly and smoothly and lastly, it has a lot of features that allow me to view, annotate, and print PDF files. Cons What I don't like about Foxit Reader is that it does not have the feature to convert PDFs to MS word doc, it also does not have the simplest interface and it lacks the colorful theme that other readers have.
