System Administrator Food Production Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Great place for viewing your pdfs and files" April 18, 2019 5.0 It's nice because I have multiple files open all at once and it really just upsets me when I have to have many windows open all over the place and windows key and tab doesn't make it that easy to find what you need. I know there are some that may prefer it that way but I like to have all my files in tabs that make it easier to find and i like how it just makes it easy to find and search. I use it to keep tabs, no pun intended, on my documents and helps me organize them in terms of importance and usefulness to passwords, documentation, etc... Pros It's very easy to use and it is great for keeping tabs on your pdfs. I like how it gives you that option vs other readers that I have used. I don't mind it so much to have windows open since my pcs are able to handle the workload but to me, having it all in tabs and in one place is just so much easier. Cons I don't like how long it takes to start up. Not really a gripe unless you are trying to get it to load up in a prompt manner for something you need. Not sure why but it takes it a while to load then once the window itself is loaded, it takes a bit more for the file itself to load but after a while, it starts to show it's shine and how it helps you so I don't consider it much of a con overall. Editing, adding pages, typing text for forms and the snapshot functions are all very useful in our office works, making us more efficient. Cons The app occasionally crashes when we are doing stamping and signing of documents. It really is a hassle when it crashes and all your editing were not saved. April 21, 2021 5.0 Foxit Reader takes up very little room on the hard disk. It fulfills my requirements in that it is fast and easy to use, allowing me to install it on a variety of computers. The app has provided a fantastic user experience; it goes above and beyond what is required of it. Pros I use Foxit Reader on a regular basis because it is the PDF reader that we use at work, and it has easily surpassed Adobe Acrobat Reader DC as the only PDF reader available. The program opens files easily and it loads quickly. I like to use the Safe Reading function to access files that I am not familiar with. This is particularly useful since certain files can contain viruses. Cons From the time I started using the program, I have not come across Cons. Reason for choosing Foxit PDF Reader The program is light and runs well on low-spec platforms, and I've had no issues with it. This is surprising for an application with Microsoft affiliation. It's lightweight and requires less memory. Printing feature is good. Pros It's best pdf reader out there. It's very light-weight and it is totally free. Printing PDF couldn’t be easier. Fullscreen reading is another good feature of it. You can create pdf file from scratch. Cons It crashes sometimes. Some version of it takes few minutes to start. However, the Foxit reveals update and it works perfectly. We have also used Adobe and FoxIt just seems to be a better fit for our current needs. Pros What I like the most about this software is how easy it is to rearrange and compile a pdf either from a pre-existing pdf, or a word or excel document. We have to create presentation binders fairly often at our company and FoxIt has given us a flawless way to do that. Cons What I like the least about FoxIt is how long it can take to OCR items. Pros What I like most about Foxit Reader is that the user interface is very clean, simple and intuitive to use, as well offering all the functionality necessary for a very low price. Cons That all of the editing functions in Foxit Reader are only available if you use and pay for Foxit PDF Editor. And navigation is also very smooth and feels very natural. It has been one of the few software that handles almost identically on mobile as it does on my PC. Pros Foxit Reader runs exceptionally well on all manner of devices and barely ever crashes. The simple and decluttered user interface is also very helpful because it makes it very easy to locate any and all features. Cons Cursor movement and control feels sluggish some times. Pros Foxit Reader is very intuitive. Associates who aren't skilled or experienced with PDF programs easily adjust to it, convert document and to it and mark-up, sign and much more after 15 min of training. Cons It would be great if Foxit Reader allowed for simple extraction of certain pages. The Foxit Phantom version offers this feature. Tech support is underwhelming, but rarely need because the program isn't easy to learn. You can easily add signatures in a safe and secure way to the documents and make all kinds of notes. This all can be done in the free version. Of course in the paid version you get the cloud functionality (among other things) which by the way is a very nice feature. We did not need this because we are using the Office 365 environment. Cons lately i noticed that when printing logo's like for example print an invoice from amazon the logo was mirrored. Not sure if that has been fixed but for me it was not a big problem because i can print to PDF using the MS OS built in PDF print option and then open the doc in Foxit. Pros Overall, I had a great time using the product. the design, the tabbed structure for opening numerous Documents, and the accessibility of all the editing tools. It's a lot simpler to use than Adobe Acrobat, in my opinion. Cons The free version frequently crashes, but the reasonably priced paid version has been reliable. Pros This product provides you the feasibility to edit the pdf file and by that I mean you can edit the blanks which are usually present in the forms. Cons According to me, this product does not work well with PDF containing 3D content or Animation Flash content. We're working on engineering documents and I find myself still going back to bluebeam. From the user interfaces being drastically different from PC to Mac to offline access issues to simple functionality problems this is a mess from top to bottom in my opinion, however a few small tweaks and alterations and this will be a great program. Pros The PC version is much better than the Mac version. Not many pros to add. Customer service is great and friendly. Cons You can literally do the same thing twice in a row with two different outcomes. There seems to always be a special secret little way to change something that normally would just be at the top and simple to access. An example of the terrible layout is in the comment tab. If you click the comment tab then the comment format tab is NINE TABS AWAY to the right lol. Bluebeam is way better and I would not recommend this product for a few more years at least. Another issue we've had is access offline. One of our users purchased through the app store and not Foxit directly and it is resulting in an issue with the software key code. Microsoft is impossible to contact directly and foxit just says its a Microsoft issue. So IF you buy; buy from Foxit. Another is I am only able to impost and work on PDFs. So I have to convert files if I wish to use Foxit.
