### "The best donation platform out there, period."

February 11, 2022

5.0

Raisely has revolutionised our donation functionality online, as well as our peer-to-peer fundraising, both in general and for specific events. We have raised more than we ever would have without it, I'm certain of that.

Pros

Of all the donation platforms I've explored and used, Raisely has the most features, the best integrations, the most customisability, the most exciting roadmap, and the best support team. The thing I like most – apart from the fact that it's completely free to use and free to donors – is that you can create almost any kind of fundraising or donation site that you want, complete with custom styling and javascript features.

Cons

I honestly cannot think of anything I'd like the platform to feature, apart from zero payment processing fees, but that would inevitably result in platform fees which I prefer to be zero.

### "Best FREE High Support, Customisable Fundraising Platform Ever!"

October 11, 2019

5.0

Very impressed and satisfied with the Raisely team and product. We raised over $50,000 in 3 days using the Raisely platform and will be using it ongoing!

Pros

In June 2019 we trialled Raisely for our bi-yearly fundraising Appeal. We were so impressed that Raisely ticked all our boxes and more! - It's completely FREE! Such a win as we're a non profit community radio station. - Extensive customisation for features that other platforms would usually charge for under a "pro" membership. If a feature wasn't there or we had questions, the Raisely team would help us achieve it. We were able to have a peer-to-peer sign up option AND donation option + tally on the home page. - High level of support! Huge shoutout to our reps! The chat function was extremely helpful and response time was quick. During the time that we were building our page, Raisely launched an improved version of the platform. The team went above and beyond to move us onto the new version with a theme that best fit our needs. Besides, that their extensive support documents will answer most FAQs! - Visually appealing, user friendly and mobile responsive. This was a big factor in looking for a new platform. Loved that there were so many themes that looked incredible and provided a smooth user experience. - The platform keeps improving and actively seeks feedback. Since using Raisely in June there continues to be improvements made and we are excited to use it again since the updates. - Sms Feature. We trialled this to message fundraisers about important updates during the Appeal

Cons

(Not sure if these have been improved since we used it in June 2019) - Insights for the email and SMS feature were limited - could see the no. of messages sent and failed, but not to who i.e. their number or email address. - More customisation of reporting would be fantastic i.e. being able to filter what fields you want. - The Facebook share feature image for fundraisers looked a bit clunky with profile photo and name overlayed on the theme image. Could be improved aesthetically - Page builder didn't allow elements or rows to be easily dragged and moved around the page which was time consuming. - Not being able to customise a stand alone button colour, meant we had to be more thoughtful about planning that our button colours complemented the backgrounds they would be on e.g. on white, on theme colour, on dark etc. This is good because it promotes cohesion, but was also tricky to work with as a first time user.

Reason for choosing Raisely

Raisely provided greater customisation and better themes and at the time, it was not clearly spelled out when making a donation that the user fee to Chuffed was optional. Raisely is free whereas Everydayhero had membership fees.

And most recently Beaterp - https://beaterp.com. We made the switch because it was not visually appealing and was a bit hard to navigate the backend - it's not a platform specifically for fundraising so has a lot of other functionalities that we didn't need. Customisation was not easy to achieve without needing to contact them for the support. We were using their product as we have local relationship with them and were just exploring

### "Was great but now frustratingly falling behind."

April 13, 2025

2.0

Great software and platform but it was so frustrating to see something that clearly had a tonne of work done on it slow to a glacial pace of development . .and recurring donors was lost in time. Raisely solves the problem of quickly launching visually appealing and reliable fundraising campaigns without needing custom dev work. It gives us a stable platform that can take donations without crashing, supports peer-to-peer fundraising, and allows us to create campaigns with strong branding and donor engagement. It also provides a simple way to manage donor data and communication in one place, even if the CRM is limited. The API access lets us hook into other systems when needed, and having local Australian support has been a real bonus — they understand our environment and are quick to respond when things go wrong.

Pros

We’re currently using Raisely as our main donation and fundraising platform. It has been a solid choice in many ways, but there are now key limitations that are affecting operations and donor experience. That said, there are still a number of features and strengths that made it appealing to us originally — and some that still hold up well. Fast setup We can create graphically strong fundraising campaigns quickly and easily, without needing developer time. It’s straightforward to use and visually polished, which means our team can launch campaigns fast with minimal training or fuss. Reliable and stable It’s reliable at processing donations — we haven’t experienced downtime or transaction issues. This matters a lot when running live campaigns or donation pushes. Peer-to-peer fundraising Peer-to-peer campaigns are one of Raisely’s stronger areas. The system makes it easy to create branded, good-looking supporter pages. While there are some notable limitations (like no support for recurring PayPal donations and poor reporting for recurring donors), the framework is solid. I even built a custom widget to get around some of these gaps — and thankfully, Raisely allows for that kind of custom code injection. Decent API access The API is robust and flexible. We’ve used it to integrate data across our systems and automate reporting. While it doesn’t go deep enough on recurring donors (a theme you’ll see in my review), the rest of the API offering is excellent and well-documented. Australian-based support One of the most refreshing aspects of Raisely is their support model — it’s local. Being based in Australia means their team understands our regulatory and operational environment. We’ve had great experiences with fast responses and useful help, without needing to wait two or three days for someone overseas to respond. Thoughtful feature set (pre-2023) It’s clear the platform was originally built with care and insight into what nonprofits need. The documentation is incredibly well-written, the UX is mostly intuitive, and you can tell a lot of effort went into making it a flexible, empowering platform — up until 2023 when it was sold to Keela. Since then, updates have slowed, and a few key features have been neglected or abandoned, but the original build quality still shows.

Cons

While the foundation remains strong, there’s a fair few small bugs and inconsistencies in the page-building tools that impact how reliably we can launch or update campaigns. The mini-CRM, while functional for basic use, has significant limitations — particularly when it comes to managing supporter records. For example, it lacks modern search and filtering capabilities; we can’t run queries like “find me records with this name OR that tag, AND this words” and multi-condition searches are simply not supported. This makes day-to-day admin frustrating and forces us to use awkward workarounds just to perform routine tasks. The page building tools and login/management methods for P2P are very very restrictive and force user down a certain path, and after coming from a more open platform like GiveWP (which we moved off because it was so unreliable) we are really restricted in how it worked. No pledge or partial payment tracking There’s no way to handle pledges or scheduled gift commitments. Everything must be a one-off or recurring payment. This creates major issues for structured gifts, sponsorships, or offline donors who want to give in instalments. We track pledges manually outside the platform. The biggest issue, however, is that Raisely still does not support PayPal for recurring donations. That’s a serious blocker. A large portion of long-term sponsors prefer PayPal, not just out of habit but because it avoids issues like expiring credit cards. Some Raisely users that are logo'd on the website are actually using other tools for regular sponsorship's. You can’t get a clear view of who’s giving regularly, what they’re giving, or easily share that data with P2P fundraisers. We had to build our own widget to even make this visible. You cant create a peer and assign a peer owner and say "you need $10k a month" and that then displays on the site. Just donations. Event and gift tracking are basically non-existent Thin support for ticketing, no RSVPs, or managing events in a meaningful way. No proper way to track gifts from offline or third-party sources. You can’t link documents to supporter profiles or store any files — so even basic record-keeping has to happen elsewhere. They have after a long time announced an integration with Keela, which is made by the same company. But again, frustratingly they dont allow users to see or trial the platform. Instead they have a nag on the admin panel asking you to book in a meeting with Keela (Eg, sales presentation) and they dont provide any pricing or other information to consider prior to having that. Keela is an NFP CRM. It also supports Paypal Subscriptions and has more robust CRM/donor management capabilities, so imagine that we are now told that we need to pay even more money to get a feature that should already be in the package we are paying for already (and fees per transaction). When that happens, the first thing anyone does it look at the alternatives, as "if we are being pushed to spend more on another platform, to do what we need, lets look at more than one other platform" If I was Raisely/Keela, I would have simply turned the integration on, got people using it then made it an add on. At a reasonable price. Not a sales meeting. When we looked into it, Keela would have a significant cost for our donorbase (they charge a success tax based on how many subscribers in your donor list). So we have worked around that with Airtable. (Sidenote, one of the biggest detractors in all the approaches of assessing software are companies that will not provide you pricing or trial access without a meeting/sales presentation. That tells you they need to "sell you" on something)

### "Step back all other fundraising platforms!!!"

August 29, 2019

5.0

Amazing. We got our peer funding page setup and so far after just a week have raised $5,000 and setup several fundraisers through donors we reached out to. AND IT WONT STOP THERE! Wouldn't have been able to do without them. Love the team and the product.

Pros

\-The extensive customization offered in their featured tools. Pretty much anything you want to setup on your page is do-able. And if it's hard for you to do let me show you my other point. -Their customer service. MY GOODNESS. Is it amazing. I felt like I had my own personal waiter serving me at three star Michelin restaurant. Whenever I had trouble they would respond immediately and either give me the answer or do it themselves and fix it for us!!! -To iterate this point further we almost didn't use the platform because they way they charged their platform fee wasn't to our liking. I won't go into the details of what exactly we wanted changed, but when we asked them if this could be fixed they went out of their way to change the way the donation form and everything was set up!!! I have never seen a company go this far and beyond for us. -This is way better than Crowdrise or Classy. Especially for the price you are getting more and then some. -As well the integration is all there for anything from using your own heatmap, google analytics, A/B testing through google optimize, segment, etc. -Also, they have custom javascript available to use and their api documention that is great for a developer like me and the way they have their platform setup is not at all limiting to things I wan't to try and change and work around. -As well, the dashboard, and reports are easy for my team to get. Did I mention how easy it is?!? Most of my team understood how to use this platform qucikl

Cons

\-Few bugs here and there. But, once we pointed it out to the team they fixed them either the day off or told us that they would be working in a week. -It's not as well known by others! GET THIS OUT TO MORE PEOPLE!

### "Great tool for non-profit organizations"

November 17, 2021

5.0

Overall, we look forward to using Raisley for future fundraising campaigns as it streamlined our fundraising allowing us to put out capacity into the project rather than dealing with any web glitches or donation issues.

Pros

As a small non-profit organization, capacity is our largest limitation. Raisley made launching a fundraising campaign smooth and simple. It allowed us to customize a donation page populated with project information. For someone who isn't well versed in web development, the integration into our own website was simple. From building and updating a campaign page, to accepting donations this was a great platform that saved us time and resources. Raisley was a reliable site that collected donations while internal staff was able to focus on bringing this project to life!

Cons

Any issues or questions that came up were quickly answered by the Raisley Team. They were able to help with anything that was brought up in a timely and helpful manner.

Reason for choosing Raisely

Pricing was attractive to small non-for-profits that operate on a small budget. Giving donors the option to cover some Raisley costs was also attractive as this fee was presented as a choice for donors to make themselves.

### "Great product and fantastic customer support"

October 1, 2019

5.0

I would definitely recommend Raisely to any team looking for a cost effective peer to peer fundraising platform.

Pros

Raisely is really user friendly and has a tonne of features that are designed to make for a successful campaign. We ran a global peer to peer campaign so the ability for users to easily select their own currency in the donation form was a huge pro. The platform has its own integrated email marketing system which allows you to send targeted and personalised emails. This has been great as we've been able to send encouragement emails to our participants who are on track to reach their fundraising goal. As well as to participants who might need a little extra nudge. Another pro would be the customisable donation forms that allow users to give regular donations. And the payment processors and other third party platforms like Google Analytics and facebook pixel are super easy to link up. The support team is highly responsive and were able to assist us with any questions we had when it came to setting up our site and running fundraising incentives like matched donations day. They also did some custom work on our site at no charge.

Cons

I've encountered a couple bugs while using the platform, however this hasn't been a big issue as they've been quickly addressed by the team.

### "Don't bother. "

November 16, 2025

2.0

Awful, no real customer support, just a terrible AI bot, no real features, reporting is bad, customers don't like it and have complained

Pros

It's fine for ticketing without paying a minimum fee, but you get next to nothing back from them. It's missing the most basic of features you would expect from ticketing - like sending a ticket reminder to customers

Cons

Even with all the fees my customers have paid, ALL normal features are locked behind a paywall, even if you've allowed for the ticketing fees/tips to be paid to them. You can't message customers. You can't send ticket reminders. The Stripe integrations are buggy. The reporting has zero information on ticket type vs. donation, just a nameless transaction which makes accounting impossible. There's no real customer support, just a bot who keeps telling you to upgrade, or email the office which doesn't respond in a reasonably manner. There's no chat or phone option if you need support.

### "Best Fundraising Platform ever"

February 16, 2022

5.0

With Salesforce NPSP and Raisely as our one stop fundraising platform we have the very best software for running a charity today. Raisely is also a lightweight CRM for small charities and so easay to implement. The quality of the Support service and the documentation is second to none. The cherry on the icing on the top are the webinars and benchmarking - delivered by \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\]. So much to LOVE!

Pros

I have been using Raisely for nearly 4 years and I love how much they have invested in improving the software - particularly the reporting and receipting. I also love integrating Raisely with Salesforce for my customers. I am a partner.

Cons

Mobile and Consent to market should be standard fields - not custom fields. A privacy policy template should be provided for small customers who do not understand that it is important to include this at all points where consent is sought. Each campaign template should have Address, Phone Number, Org Email and Privacy Policy as standard fields in the footer.

Reason for choosing Raisely

Its a social enterprise, its Australian made, they understand Peer 2 Peer, the support is amazing, its beautiful, open API and easy webhooks.

### "Well-featured, easy to use, and the greatest support team I’ve ever come across"

July 4, 2022

5.0

Raisely is our one-stop shop for our primary website, donation appeals and fundraising campaigns. It’s been extremely easy to use and has covered almost all of our requirements - the more complex of which we’ve had to get a separate CRM for. Raisely’s support team is second to none, not only in terms of helpfulness and pleasantness, but particularly in their technical ability.

Pros

\- Building and running fundraising campaigns, appeals and even building our primary website has been a dream. - Raisely’s builder is similar to Squarespace, in that it may not have the broadest feature set for endless customisation, but what it does offer covers almost all use cases, and does so excellently. - The payment processing is superb and importantly, mobile friendly! - Receipting works quite well too. - The ‘People’ and ‘Profile’ records in the CRM are fully featured and work well. - The tool is constantly being updated and improved!

Cons

\- The CRM is limited in its ability to target groups of users - segmenting and tagging cannot really be done dynamically, and has prevented us from using Raisely to handle anything more complex than simple transactional emails such as donation receipts. - The Zapier integration is in its infancy and could benefit from a thorough review of use cases.

### "I can't believe software this good can be free"

July 21, 2021

5.0

We've been using Raisely for a little over a year now. After initially using the software for a fundraising campaign, we loved it so much that we now use it for all of our online fundraising and donation management. For the value that we get from the software, it's hard to believe that it doesn't cost us a cent, and we get the full value of our donations.

Pros

It was very easy to learn and set up our Raisely account, with integrations and some custom fields. I love how it covers to many use cases - we use it for fundraising campaigns, as a platform for our supporters to do "donate your birthday" style fundraisers, and as an embedded donation form in our non-profit's website. The support we have received is fantastic, and the team are incredibly well connected with their users. The free webinars with Q&A sessions etc are very useful and much appreciated.

Cons

Some of the documentation seems to be a little sparse, especially around merge fields, but this is only a minor issue as the fantastic support team are always more than happy to help out with any queries or issues.

### "Superb For Any Charity Fundraiser"

March 5, 2021

5.0

Overall Raisely was excellent, intuitive to use, met our needs, at no cost and they supported us throughout and it was instrumental in our fundraising campaign. I would highly recommend Raisely.

Pros

\- Extremely intuitive and easy to use platform to design our fundraiser, without any previous web design experience it was still really simple to use, but also still offered lots of customisable options. - Support from their customer service and technical team was excellent from start to finish. They took the time to listen to and understand our needs and showed us how best to utilise their platform. Even offering the services of a web / graphic designer to tidy up our website. Emails were responded to within a working day and always answered the question / actioned anything that we needed doing. - The activity tracking and associated Strava integration was the main reason we chose Raisely. It was extremely easy to setup our distance challenge and it offered automatic syncing with Strava or the ability to manually add activities for our Fundraisers. - The ability to send emails out to our fundraisers, team leaders and even donors was intuitive and offered great customisation as to who it was sent to. - The ability to create custom reports to view statistics that we were after, the Raisely support team even created some custom reports for us that we weren't able to do ourselves.

Cons

\- The activity tracking worked for our needs, but it would be good, if as admins we had more oversight and control over the activities that our fundraisers added. - The ability to add leaderboards added a much needed competitive element, but it was slightly annoying not being able to separate out cyclists and runners and this was one of our most common bits of feedback from our Fundraisers; the fact that cyclists were at such an advantage vs runners / walkers. The ability to split them out on at least one leaderboard would make this much fairer. - Our campaign ran between 2 specific dates, but there was no ability to only count Strava activities between these dates, this meant we had to have activities from before and after our campaign deleted which added some work to our end. It is worth noting that we approached Raisely with these questions, and throughout they were very forthcoming / open about adding some of these features to their platform and I understand that they are already working on some of them.

### "Great for Google Analytics Tracking"

Being in digital marketing, attribution is everything. Raisely makes it easy to track our donations sources through Google Analytics and then import those into Google Ads. This informs our entire strategy and helps us maximise our efficiency. Thanks for going above and beyond with the cross-platform intergrations, Raisely! I just wanted to call out \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] for all his hard work to help us solve our e-commerce tracking challenges.\[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] was empathetic, understood the whole problem and worked back and forth with us across over 3 weeks troubleshooting our challenges. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] was incredibly helpful and ultimately we were able to get the job done! Thank you, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] and the Raisely team!

### "Great tool for events fundraising for minimal cost"

April 15, 2021

5.0

Raisely was really quick to pick up. We managed to build a good functioning website for our challenge fundraising event without needing to employ a web designer and managed to smash all our targets as a result. The support from Raisely was excellent. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] was on hand to respond to all of our various questions and was patient with our lack of knowledge on web design. We also employed a web designer for our second campaign and they mentioned that the website was really easy to use and navigate.

Pros

• Sense of community it helped us to build • Easy to navigate • Straightforward to build for people who have little to no experience building a website • Emails integrated and auto emails • Worked well on different devices • Teams • Raisely great to work with – helped with issues very quickly • Raisely listened to what we needed and tried to implement changes • We didn’t pay for support • Supporting documents

Cons

• Time consuming to build the website in house – mainly because it was new software. It will now be easier going forward for subsequent campaigns • Integrating with our CRM. We don't use Salesforce (which Raisely does integrate with) so could not set up the website so that it integrated with our CRM. • Was difficult to import data about participants onto the website

### "Raisely - easy, comprehensive fundraising"

September 4, 2019

5.0

We took on Raisely as an adjunct to Kepla (which we use for our CRM) but it has actually become my favourite software for creating 3rd party fundraising pages. We use these a lot for small fundraisers, as well as for our larger events.

Pros

The platform has been evolving for the past couple of years, and is now providing lots of beautiful, functional options for fundraising as a straight appeal, for peer to peer, and for multi-function fundraising. The designs are easy to set up, look sleek and professional, and very customisable to provide all the communication needed for donors/participants. The customer service is personal and fast. The Raisely team really works to ensure I'm happy with their product.

Cons

Setting up the reports is my least favourite part. I mostly use the reports that are pre-set, but would like to see more ease of use with the reports (eg previews of what info will come out).

### "Excellent - Next level customer support "

September 1, 2019

5.0

Exceptional.

Pros

Great features, easy to use, and exceptional customer service. Nothing is ever too much for them . We have needed a number of custom features due to the nature of our events, and Raisely have worked with us every step to make sure we get a smooth system.

Cons

Reporting was a problem for us initially, but the team have worked on this with us to find a solution, now it's not a problem.

Reason for choosing Raisely

It met all our requirements for a base product, but it was the exceptional customer service, and continual drive to improve and help us that sealed the deal and has kept us on as an extremely happy customer since.

### "Thumbs Up "

February 17, 2022

5.0

Pros

A simple but effective system to manage campaigns and track donations. Also good for generating custom reports to extract information on our supporters and types of donations received. Also worth noting the high levels of customer service - although we are a UK organisation, the response from the Raisely team (in Australia I believe!) has always been efficient.

Cons

I thought I preferred the old format when generating custom reports, but I think I am getting used to the new one now!

### "Great functionalities and amazing customer service"

August 30, 2019

5.0

Very happy with the product and it's obvious that the Raisely developers are still at work to integrate more and more functionalities.

Pros

All the functionalities on offer which are the same and in some instances even more than other long-standing products on the market.

Cons

It's not as easy or user-friendly to use for someone who has absolutely no coding experience. However, the customer service makes up for it and they promptly help with any issues.

Reason for choosing Raisely

How can you beat FREE for the same functionalities that Classy, RaiseNow and JustGiving (not the free version of JustGiving) offer? A lot of donors are quite happy to donate a little extra to help the charity not to have to carry the cost.

### "Next level customer service"

April 19, 2021

5.0

Most importantly the customer service is wonderful. We often have questions and they are answered quickly and solve the problem. Veyr happy customers.

Pros

Ability to customise - we like to tweak and make things our own, and Raisely allow you to really go to town on the customisation.

Cons

We had a bit of a learning curve, but once you're through it, you can really use the app to its full advantage.

### "Raisely for bespoke campaigns"

September 8, 2019

5.0

Pros

Raisely is not a 'one format fits all' kind of company - they recognise that different products need bespoke solutions and are keen to support. Their triggered email option is ABSOLUTELY worth the monthly fee as it has revolutionised our supporter journey. On the whole, it's simple to use and their templates are awesome.

Cons

There have been a few bugs over the years but on the whole they're fixed soon after we flag them.

### "Easy to learn, great support team"

November 11, 2020

5.0

Pros

\- Fairly easy to learn and navigate - Fantastic and responsive customer support: when I have a question (and I always do), the team are incredibly responsive, patient and clear. There hasn't been a single time where I have felt frustrated or not listened to.

Cons

\- More FAQs on how to navigate the platform! You guys have created a really great platform (and believe me I have searched and tried out plenty), so please educate your customer base.

### "Campaign Builder"

February 4, 2022

5.0

The support staff were so helpful and the costumer service was unreal. I am grateful for the team as I had a very tight deadline and everyone step in

Pros

The software is very easy to self learn once you understand the path you need its easy to build multiple pages.

Cons

I wasn't familiar with back end coding/linking however with extra training and working on it more regular it should become easier.

### "Raisely is awesome"

August 31, 2019

5.0

Awesome experience. Highly recommend them. Originally chosen because we needed automation of donations/financials/admin and because they have zero costs for the NGO. Their tech-support is awesome. Their product is fantastic.

Pros

\- Raisely tech-support has been sensational. Huge thank you. - It's a platform enabling charities to have zero fees so everything raised goes directly to the community we're supporting. - it's reasonably easy to use/setup. It's not 100% intuitive but for a basic landing page + donations it works well. No need to know how to code - you don't have to be overly web-tech-savvy to get started. - Allows automation of donations, receipting, team logins etc; and even allows us to set up event funnels so streamlines the financials and reduces time spent on admin.

Cons

It is a bit clunky and I did require tech-support to get it going. There are easier to use platforms (as in web design) available but none that match the value of Raisely that we're aware of, so it's an obvious choice. That being said - they don't charge the charity any fees; and are happy to help the setup so I can't really fault them there.

### "Outstanding product, team and exceptional customer service"

August 30, 2019

5.0

Exceptional service is the highlight for me with Raisely. The team is so helpful that even the simplest and dumb questions I've had they took the time to help and went above and beyond the scope of the product to ensure the issues were resolved.

Pros

I first selected this product as there are no transaction fees and that's a big plus for a non-profit. Later I was blown away by the ease of use of the product and mostly the exceptional and timely support of the staff.

Cons

Frankly there is nothing I can call out. The product is extremely stable and easy to customise as well

### "Generous and valuable Service"

August 29, 2019

5.0

We use Raisely to collect donations during regular events that are held, and it also manages our recurring gifts. Knowing the other offerings in the market, it was a no-brainer to go with Raisely for our systems. (Full disclosure I also work for Raisely)

Pros

Raisely have been very generous with the product and the support.

Cons

Some of our volunteers find the software a steep learning curve, but I've not seen any product on the market that would be easier for them to learn.
