Great software AND training services

Pros

This software does a great job of creating pipelines, hiring without bias and identifying when you have a hiring manager that might not be objectively hiring because of unconscious bias - then you can coach hiring manager and help them identify / overcome their blind spots

Cons

Any issues I had were immediately addressed and prioritized on the roadmap

Career.place has been great to work with. They respond quickly to questions, are open to ideas, and provide great training materials. I love the concept and the process, and I really couldn't be happier with the results.

Pros

Career.place makes it easy to post jobs, view applicants, and move them through the hiring process. I like collaborating with my team in scoring responses and the excitement of passing great candidates through to the reveal stage to see their resume. The chat tool makes it easy to reach out to candidates to request an interview. It's been a huge time saver, helped me stay organized, and has landed us some amazing new team members.

Cons

Moving between candidates can still be a little tricky. If you want to pass someone to the next round, you have to exit the screen, find them based on a random identifier, and then pass them. It's easy enough to do because you can sort by rankings, but it'd be easier to just do it from the page and move to the next candidate to review.

Pros

The ability to define custom status so your candidate search can match your internal process.

Cons

The posting features did not cover all the websites, not sure if that is limitation of their system or the others.

Overall, this software has been very useful in helping is to be more responsive to applicants and to ensure that we are evaluating candidates based on their responses to what we identify as important for the role.

Pros

What I like the most about this software is the candidate management. It lets unqualified candidates know the status of their applications and helps the hiring team to keep track of candidates that the need to follow up with.

Cons

I wish the assessments could be tailor to my industry, since a lot of the current ones are not always that useful in assessing for what the hiring teams are assessing for.

Best experience ever. The stomper service is amazing \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] videos on how to access certain formation or maximize exposure are amazing and allow you to use them as a reference in the future, He also connects you with other resources as needed for the company growth plans

Pros

\[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] has walked me through the process step by step and is always available very engaged and extremely helpful

Cons

They are constantly improving so i cant find anything i don't like about it

My guess is the cost is reasonable and \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] is amazing at his job , very knowledgeable and you can tell he love his job and customers

Great product. Great People. This service makes my job more efficient and more effective in finding quality talent.

Pros

One of the features I like most is that it truly is an unbiased way of finding great talent in the workforce. I appreciate the ease of use and how you can tailor each job posting to meet specific needs. Above all, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] is one of the nicest people I have met. He is willing to drop everything and help you when needed.

Cons

The only cons I can think of get fixed in the monthly updates. The Career.Place team is always working a updating their site and creating new features and making their software easier to use.

Our experience has been great. We are able to get qualified candidates in using Career.place system

Pros

We have used applicant tracking systems in the past and many times one of the things missing was the customer service. The staff at career.place are attentive, caring and helpful! They genuiely care about helping a business find the right people. There model is based on no bias which allows for skill and culture fit. A company looking for great people can wrap themselves around this model!

Cons

We were not able to move the candidate from job to job.

The staff is awesome. They get back with you and are always trying to problem solve.

My overall experience is great. The company is such a great tool that all organizations should be using. It will save you so much time and money in the future by avoiding bad hires due to them not passing assessments, homework questions, etc. Gabe is so helpful - he is always there! You can tell he really enjoys what he is doing.

Pros

The reach that this software has is amazing. We are able to access so many more candidates in comparison to the reach I had before. I have hired multiple employees from their reach and access to many more job seekers.

Cons

My least favorite part is that I have to manually upload candidates that come from Career.place into our ATS. However, I have heard this will be changing in the future!

Highly recommend it and you will not regret it. Enjoy talking and learning from the team at Career.place. NOT staff...TEAM! Big difference. Great analytics and reports. Career.Place is going to make our company a better place by recruiting and hiring people the right way.

Pros

The support, knowledge and passion from career.place to help us reduce bias in the hiring processes and practices to find the best talent. Because they are passionate about reducing bias with one hire at a time, they have helped us hire some great talent in half the time and costs it historically took us. Most important and notably, their tech platform is blinded and put the focus back on the people and their talents and not a piece of paper. The broke the mold and made a new. We eliminated our Applicant Tracking System because of this. No more resume reviews! Career.place found us at a critical time and not only shortened our time and costs to hire, but helped us innovate our recruiting process by reducing bias in the recruiting and interviewing phases. Just think, if every company used career.place, how different do you think the business world and possibly board room would look today. Very different and for the better.

Cons

Changing YOUR thinking is the biggest con to using this software. It is a learning curve and a culture change to break away from wanting to see resumes, because we are so used to reviewing paper. There is nothing human about paper! Changing is the challenge or con, not the technology. In general managers and hiring managers are conditioned to be biased on resumes, names, job lengths, schools, education level, backgrounds, formats, typos.....etc.

Cannot think of anything that is least liked.

Easy to implement, easy to use, effective in helping to screen out applicants who are clearly not qualified or interested in the position.

Pros

Gabe was instrumental in walking us through it and helping us understand what it can do for us.

Cons

The career.place emails every time an applicant completes homework.

Kept JazzHR. Found Career.place when I was researching a behavior assessment tool. Liked Career.Place and also implemented Predictive Index for Behavioral Assessment.

It is quite effective and a very easy way to maintain data on demographics of the applicant pool.

Pros

The features it offers to easily screen candidates based on requirements criteria and the quiz is a wonderful tool that reduces the time and improves efficiency while maintaining consistency across candidates.

Cons

It takes some getting used to. Having tools, or videos showing the functionalities would be of great help.

Pros

We have really enjoyed the reporting feature and breakdown the system provides based on applicant demographics. Overall, when we are unsure how to navigate Career.Place, we reach out to the support team via the chat option and get a response within minutes! \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] is always ready to jump in and support our companies needs!

Cons

It would be nice to have a better integration with Jazz HR. We often find ourselves not being able to use the full features of the unconscious bias applicant tracking system since JazzHR still shows the candidates names as soon as they apply to a role.

### "Better Candidates - More Responsive than Indeed"

This cut back the time I wasted on people who weren't going to show up for the interview or respond to an interview invitation.

Pros

Because there were several steps in the process, those who weren't interested didn't finish the process. Unlike Indeed, this forced candidates to cater their applications to the specific position. I also liked that the screening was done equitably, if you met the qualifications you were able to submit (in my case) a video. Finally, I like that you can design the questions around the job you are seeking candidates for and that this is pretty simple to do. I even used it at a job fair to take on-the-spot applications.

Cons

None! It's great. I guess the only think I wish is that you could upload our actual application - and maybe you can, I just haven't done that.

I was an applicant so I do not know. However, I asked the question about the rationale and Human Resources explained that the instrument was adopted in order to manage bias in the hiring process. I am not certain I recognized that as an applicant.

Pros

My role was as an applicant to Mann Center for the Performing Arts. The queries required reflection and concentration incorporating layers of professional experience.

Cons

It was not clear to this user how many parts there were to the instrument and there were no indications as to the length and that the fourth section was a video option. I did ask the human resources about the product because it was my first encounter with this manner and process of interviewing for a position. There were a few questions that "felt" like they were designed to "trick" the candidate.

It's a great tool in the toolbelt for hiring.

Pros

The ability to design custom quizzes and utilize canned tests is a game changer. We could not have found as quality candidates for select positions without this tool.

Cons

The main drawback is that we cannot use it for low volume applicant positions. Specifically, the value is in the quizzes and tests from my perspective, and for certain positions when we get relatively few applicants to begin with, the tool asks too much time from the applicant. But this may be a reflection of the fact that we need to do a better job recruiting.

Pros

The interface was easy to use once you have everything set up, and I appreciated being able to push to other job boards and interface with social media. The real standout though was the exceptional customer service and support provided by the Career.Place team.

Cons

This is my first experience with this type of system, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I didn't find any negatives.
