That’s the name of the game. How fast can I whip out this proposal but stilll have an end product that sells my ideas for me. Pros I love that you are able to create a one of a kind proposal that perfectly fits any size wedding or any style event. So fast and so easy but looks like you spent hours doing it. February 19, 2024 4.0 Pros Adopting Details has made my business run much more smoothly. From tracking events, creating proposal, generating contracts, developing recipes and knowing my inventory and stem count. It has saved me hours of work! Cons I would like to see the ability to adjust the margin on hard good vs flowers vs greens. Right now that does not seem to be possible and I'm adjusting the price on things to force the system to generate the price I want to charge the client. I also would like to be able to use any photo in my proposals without trying to figure out the resolution of each image. I end up with blurry photos that do not look professional and its frustrating. Pros it has the stem counting / costing / ordering features I need with a beautiful proposal and a reasonable price. Customer service is responsive. No surprise up charges like my last software. Cons Client relationship management is very limited - I currently use another software in conjunction for this. and Accounting /reporting options are very limited - I also use other software for this as well. Creating recipes is easy as well and just as customizable. Cons Setting dates and times in the system is clunky. The calendar doesn't come up on the current year so you scroll down for a date if it's in the next year and setting times is a scroll down as well. The invoicing feature makes everything so convenient and easy for my clients to make payments. February 23, 2024 5.0 I have been using Details software since 2018 and have really not had a problem. The little hiccups that I have had the support staff has been on top of the problem. Pros I like the setting up my own recipes. The look and being able to change templates for different Brides. All the info that the Bride sees when they get their proposal. Cons I would love to be able to see the address where the flowers will be delivered to, not just the venue location. My Brides really get confused by that little tid bit. Pros I love the way the end product looks. My brides love that it very visual Cons The whole program could be more user friendly. I feel the customer should be able to e-sign the contact AND pay their retainer on the contract page. I believe we could get that customer to book faster if that was an option. Its difficult selecting items and finding items, this part seems to take a very long time looking up items. I HATE that the program will automatically delete what you did if you change your screen without saving, you can't go back and forth easy, drives me crazy and waist so much time. The Event page, the layout. It would be great if it could notify you when a customers is overdue so we can contact them. The tutorials are really relevant and there's a good energy throughout the company. Pros My favorite this about this software is the support team. They are friendly and fast, always willing to help. The proposal templates are very adaptable and very pretty. I love the drag and drop on the recipes -- it's really easy to choose the types of flowers, etc and use them on multiple recipes, and it's very fast to see if you are at or near full bunches. Cons I wish there was a way to keep the counts and change the flower types out quickly, it's not too bad, but multiple steps. I also would like more reporting options, and a bit more customizing. My clients receive a very clear and understandable proposal and contract. Communication is key to success and when working on a persons wedding or event I love they can see images of each bloom, pictures from their or your inspiration. This creates a beautiful working relationship where expectation are clear and what they will receive even clearer. Pros Easy use and continued branding. From start to finish everything we present the client is well polished and beautifully presented. On the back of house side. No more guessing on pricing, no more missed stem count, no more under charging, inventory is monitored, recipes for each items means staff will get the designers design right. The beautiful images in every proposal really "wows" the clients. Think a client is a "looksey" vet them first with the estimate portion. If they are pushy give them the executive proposal and keep your design under lock and key. Cons Making my old recipes find-a-ble. BUT it is only because I have used this for so long turning off and on was an option. Now it is an upgraded enhancement. . When creating a new recipe you have the option of turning this on or off. Pros The finished product is absolutely gorgeous and certainly helps clients commit to booking due to it's eye catching proposal package! I also love being able to add our rental inventory and additional items in the item gallery. I do wish it took fewer steps to add items but it's nice to have such a high level of customization. Cons Integration with invoicing has been difficult. It also takes many steps to finalize the proposal. On average it takes me three to four hours from start to finish, which can be daunting. I'm sure there are ways to streamline the process. My next step is to search for tutorials to help make this a faster process. Something that would be helpful would be an integrated inquiry format that transferred the inquiry form on our website into a client profile. It seems like many things that could be a one or two click fill in when finalizing the proposal takes many repeated steps. I'm sure I'm not running the software as efficiently as I could be. November 1, 2018 5.0 I really am saving more time that ever and I am much more confident when sending out my proposals. Before Details I was often worried that I was leaving out a page, or a cost sheet. With this software everything is always there! I also love having the ability to have clients sign their contracts and pay online, avoiding the "check is in the mail" excuse. Pros Using this software has saved me so much time, and the more that I use it the more time I am able to save since my past "floral recipes" are saved for future use. The software produces gorgeous imagery, that makes selling our products and designs easy! Cons From time to time there are a few tech issues to work out (mainly during "updates"), but to be honest this is the way all businesses seem to operate in today's marketplace. The time saved and the beautiful estimates that you are able to produce make the few tech issues easily tolerated. " June 4, 2018 5.0 Pros Details is visually appealing, the layouts are lovely for clients and help organize visual images for the look of each event. The best part is the backend which makes cost-control and ordering a breeze. I can look and see what my overall purchasing cost will be, where I can make adjustments to avoid overbuying of flowers, inventories for rentals, and it puts out a nice, easy-to-follow recipe sheet for the workroom. Definitely designed by a florist and by having it all there (contract, mood board, payment processing) helps me run my small business and the 100+ events that happen each year. Cons The one thing I don't like is that it has just a tad too much customization for weddings that make it awkward for corporate or non-profit clients' events. It also took a great deal of time to input all of the components (flowers, prices, items), but once input, not too hard to keep up. June 5, 2018 4.0 Pros I appreciate that they are constantly updating the software based on feedback. The new dashboard is so helpful!!!! The ability to create recipes and have them translate into an easy stem count order form has saved me a lot of time. I love that the system tracks payments (I used to use a spreadsheet) and has an integrated cc processing system. It also ensures all your items are correctly added. (I used to use a spreadsheet and had issues with formulas not integrating newly added items. No more mistakes now that I use this system.) The template gives a professional product to share with my clients. I love the ability to hide sections that I don't feel are necessary, customize images, have the contract terms and financials all integrated into 1 document. Genius to be able to mail clients a link and have them electronically sign it. Also great to be able to expire the proposal to discourage price shoppers. Great customer service. Whenever I get stuck, they call me back and are friendly and patient. Cons Empty pages within the proposal. I would love the ability to hide them. I realize it has to do with automatic page breaks, but it bothers me. Wish I could adjust contract and payment terms at an individual level. ex: standard terms are great for normal clients, but I have several last minute customers where we need abbreviated payment terms. It's the only thing that has kept me using it. But it's been hard, I can't lie, switching to this system. I hope it gets easier, but I'm not there yet and we have been using it about 2 months. I can stay up to date with each event and feel confident my client and I are on the same page as the proposal generating is clear and to the point. Using photos of each flower to be placed in each arrangement helps my client and I visualize the final product. Then, the system generates a back end recipe book for my freelancers and I to use in the studio. I mean it’s everything a florist could want! Pros It’s my One stop shop. I can access my workbook, colander of events and proposals from anywhere at any time. It’s also adds up stem counts and add us my costs for me. Cons Some of the usability makes it a bit too clicky. They continue to grow and expand and make the software better. Pros This software has taken my business from a one woman show to now 12 employees in the matter of just a couple of years. It helps us stand out amongst the competition, minimizes human error, makes ordering a breeze, and helps us organize our team throughout the entire event pipeline. Cons I wish the photos for the individual products were bigger for the client. And have the option to add more than one photo per line item.
