I have tried others, but Formidable Forms simply makes launching form-based functions highly intuitive... especially for non-techies like me. Cons Flowing data into Constant Contact can be a little tricky for non-techie people such as myself. But that's not unusual when trying to get two apps to talk to each other. I recently found a very edge case bug, alerted the team, and they had a beta fix within a day. Pros Have used for years, as well as Gravity Forms. Both are good, but Formidable is more feature-complete, with many native extensions instead of paying for and managing multiple third-party addons. We always use Formidable unless a client specifically insists on Gravity. Cons I don't like how Formidable does a "full screen" takeover, I wish the rest of the WP Admin was still usable when you're in forms. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this product. Pros Nothing compare to other its rivals! you pay some hundreds euros and get too much headache. am writing this for those that have a mid to complex e-commerce. Cons We used Formidable on our WordPress e-commerce site for several months. It was unstable: features worked one day and failed the next, and changes in one area caused regressions elsewhere. This led to repeated downtime and significant project delays. Support responses were slow and not solution-oriented, and the annual price (hundreds of euros) is impossible to justify given the results. We have removed it and reliability immediately improved. I cannot recommend it. The support has been amazing and I now have three different Stripe payment forms that I can keep on duplicating and changing the name of the product. Pros The thing I like most about Formidable (apart from the support), is that I no longer need to create a Stripe payment link, or WooCommerce variable product for every software license (tiered pricing) that we sell. Using Formidable to dynamically create products with a Stripe payment from is that we can legally implement UK Disability VAT Exemption it's eligibility questions, and the possible removal of VAT, depending upon the radio buttons selection. I have used conditional logic to ensure that these questions only appear when either England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, or Wales is selected from the "Country" menu. Compared to another form plugin, the design area has accessible scroll bars, not skinny wafer thin lines with no clickable arrows. Some of us web designers have disabilities, so an accessible design environment is essential. Cons The ability to globally change the red asterisk to "red \* (required) would be extremely helpful, as would physical resizing of fields using the mouse pointer. In any software one is learning a lot of new skills so brilliant support makes the learning worth while. I could not have done so without it. I had a dream to turn our training companies administration, student management, and quality management system paperless. Formidable Forms has done that. Some of the things we do now, all paperless are; Student enrollment and payments; Keeping up to date records by auto sending emails for updated documentation at the correct time to each student or assessor; Multiple assessors countrywide uploading and assessing student assignments online; Moderators having immediate access to students work and assessors reports at any time from anywhere; Instant generation of reporting functions for the education authorities oversight and quality management role; Views showing snapshots of students progress with hyperlinks to every conceivable piece of data required by quality assurance and assessors throughout the process, and 'To Do' list automatically generated for each person who logs in based on their role ; Students have access to their own data at all times and can see their own progress; Students can maintain and view personal logbooks built into the system which also doubles as evidence for assessor to check currency of participation; The list goes on and on... Our site has over 80 forms with 426 Views. Cons I an not competent with writing code myself, so battle with tasks involving custom code, but there are lots of samples available as well so this helps. It's the most dynamic and advanced form plugin while also being so simple. It's so much more than a plugin too. I've built entire systems for user registration, CMS, application workflows, and more. If you've wanted to build any kind of business application but didn't want to code it, this is a great way to do it. I also love how supportive and big the community is. Everyone is super helpful, there's tons of add-ons, and there's lots to be inspired by. Cons Learning curve takes a bit to get use to because there's so much to offer. I am building a full GDPR solution, 75% of which comes directly from Formidable forms and its Pro features. I have stopped using all other types of form builders and contact us forms. In fact, I have actively gone through all of our WordPress sites and anything that was not using Formidable (because they were older for example) I've upgraded. Formidable provide helpful and fast service and they have an annual support fee that is very reasonable for all that they do. I don't know what I would do without Formidable Forms. We especially enjoy the conditional logic and multi-step form tools, as it helps streamline our clients' quoting processes. Cons The only con that I've stumbled upon since I started using Formidable is the lack of support for Recaptcha v3. In our business' experience, Google ReCaptcha v3 is the most advanced and most performing captcha tool, and had the best impact on controlling form spam for our many clients. Pros I found Formidable Forms and its plugins to have a very user-friendly interface. There are few features left out that most users would need, and there are multitudes of plugins for specific needs to expand its usefulness. Cons What I like least is that there should be the ability to limit the number of WORDS in a form field, not just characters, in a very simple way. If you search for this function, all you can find is some very complicated php code which, though I followed the instructions to the letter, would not work. I tried many, many ways. Inserting html code into one of the fields is not possible, which is what the instructions say to do. FF already has a button to click to limit the number of characters. Why would you not have a button right there with it to limit the number of words? Pros I like the simplicity of being able to create forms and add them to my site. I can easily modify these forms once they have been added and can insert them anywhere in WordPress. Cons What I don't like is that I'm often left wondering why some things aren't easier to do when most of them are.
