I find them easy to use, efficient, reasonably priced, but most of all, their customer service and support are stellar. In this age of anonymity, having responsive people to contact when you need help is amazing and refreshing. Cons I haven't yet run into anything about SproutVideo that I don't like. Pros I came to Sprout because I was looking for a way to share senstive video assets. The dynamic watermark feature is excellent and gives me confidence that the content will not "accidentally" end up somewhere it shouldn't. Cons I find the interface to add users and share videos with them a little clunky. Its not super intuitive and if I havent been in the tool for a minute it always takes me a second to figure it out again. However I always end up going over my bandwidth limit, which adds to the cost. On top of that some competitors offer native playback in the Patreon app, similar security features, as well as more bandwith and storage, for a lot less money once it goes over 100gb. Pros What I like most is the peace of mind it gives me when sharing videos on platforms like Patreon. Compared to using something like Google Drive, SproutVideo offers a much more secure solution that helps protect my content from being easily leaked. The platform is also very user-friendly and straightforward to set up, making the video upload and management process smooth and efficient. Cons The biggest downside for me is the lack of compatibility with the Patreon app. Videos hosted on SproutVideo can't be watched directly in the Patreon iOS app so my subscribers are forced to log into their Patreon account on Safari in order to watch my content. Cons Sometimes it seems to take a bit longer to process a video once uploaded. Not a big deal considering I am not uploading very many videos at a time. We will soon be exceeding the package we are on, and we will be happy to take the next package up once we have the requirement (and enough videos). Pros Difficult not to mention the price. The pricing combined with the features is the best that I know of. Being able to replace a video to the same ID after it being published is brilliant since amends can be done and our system is still able to load the video without having to update our database. The different video versions that the player has available makes it useable on all modern devices, and serves a video quality based on the internet connection which is what drew me to Sprout in the first place. Cons It would be good if we could configure the video details whilst the video is processing rather than having to wait for the video to finish processing. Dir. of. It worked great then and still works great. Pros Other video hosting sources tell you that user data is not available. Sprout makes it available at a reasonable cost. It is important for my training to be able to provide who watched a video and for what length of time. Cons Seems like sometimes the options that are selected do not work on the first try.
