We email gate it so we know the client has viewed the video. The analytics tell us which parts of the video the client has watched more than one time. We can check the download analytics to see if the client downloaded it. Great software! Pros We create hand drawn videos for the safety, training and educational sector, worldwide. We use SproutVideo so clients can review their draft video and then download the final video. Super easy, super fast. But best of all is SproutVideo's customer service, it's #1! Cons Previously you couldn't group videos in folders, only with tags. We submitted a feature request, not sure who else did, and last year SproutVideo released folders! Pros I like the ease of use and the updates that they have made to the platform since we started using it five years ago. Cons I don't like that I do not have the ability to pick up the phone and call a tech support person there. Whenever I have had questions or concerns about our account, we have received a prompt response from the company and our issues are always quickly resolved. They are also very helpful in answering questions. Pros It is very easy to track and monitor views of each video. The analytics provided are very helpful and include information such as viewer engagement, location of views, device types, domains used, etc. I also really like that you can set up profiles for viewers and give them limited access to certain videos. You can even control if they are able to download the video. Cons The only draw back is the 10 GB max file size for video uploads. We have a few videos that run upwards of 6 hours long. I just break them into 2 videos (part I and II) to get around the max file size so it's not a huge deal. I needed a place to host my videos that was ad-free, easy to share on social media, and easy to embed in my website. And of course, I wanted my videos to stream flawlessly and not have any issues with compression or poor quality. Sprout checks all of these boxes, and so much more. Their customer service is outstanding — knowledgeable, quick to reply, and patient. Although Sprout offers a robust array of features for larger businesses with more complex needs, they’ve been the perfect solution for me. I really love that even though I’m a single user with basic account, I still get awesome service. Technology like this can be challenging and Sprout has been the perfect answer for me. And yes, their blog is VERY PRACTICAL, if you need help to get your videos done right. Pros Simple to use, mobile friendly and never have to wait for a video to start playing. Quality, compared to size is SUPER. Also, we liked that we could use it for company procedures. Like the metrics and control over the players. That's SUPER GREAT. Cons When we signed up, there were much less features...no users etc. Now, SproutVideo is much more mature platform and offers much more. Cons It would be nice to have features like a comment section for a video. Last I looked, that didn't seem to be offered. Integrating sproutvideo's api was easy and allowed ua to offer a really competitive solution in our target markets. Pros Really easy to use but, at the same time, highly customizable, sproutvideo offers the backend services needed to deploy a corporate video delivery system in no time. It abstracts the complexities needed to run a "private toutube", and does that with great success, plus its really comptetitive pricing made choosing sproutvideo a no-brainer, competitors don't get close. Cons Nothing really, everything works as intended, analytics are great, cdn is fast... The only thing I wish is that they introduced live video... but that's another thing. I host a tiktok but wanted a second site where I can upload videos for my Patreon-subscribers in advance. I was looking for a video-hosting site that was inexpensive and easy to use. Uploads are quick and easy, editing video permissions is easy, and sharing videos is super easy too. The password feature is great. Cons No complaints. The site is everything I needed and more. Pros The ease of use when it comes to uploading videos and setting up your site. The amount of customization options really allows you to make the site your own and follow business marketing guidelines. The reporting makes it easy to track who has and hasn't watched the videos. Cons No cons, I have had nothing but a great experience using Sprout. High speed upload especially when there is something in upload and you tried again with same file, it resume from percentage that ended up with before the problem occurring. 2. Controls for access view and manage access for your students is extremely helpful. 3. You can let students access to videos from a website of sproutvideo with your company logo. I like the filing and folder structure which means I can organise videos in a way that makes sense. I was using a more well known video hosting platform prior to this and much prefer SproutVideo.. the customer service has been responsive and helpful when I wanted advice about customisation, the analytic and broadband usage analytics are good. It’s been a really positive transition and I’m pleased I changed to Sprout Video. Cons All good so far. Pros I first registered on sproutvideo to integrate videos on my Website. I liked the fact that the web player was unbranded and would autoplay on smart devices. After that I came to use it for video delivery and I love the fact that you can have your very own video website and deliver your content with your branding on it unlike other services such as vimeo and youtube. You can also deliver your file in various format which are automatically generated which is also a very cool feature in my opinion. You can set privacy settings and a lot of other cool options which makes it very relevant for video delivery. Very happy with this service! Cons The only thing that could stop a user is that its price is higher than other services. But I would definitely recommend it over Vimeo for instance (if you don't need the social features of Vimeo which are not include at all in Sproutvideo). We use other services that provide some of the features Sprout offers, but none combine all of them in one package. Perhaps the most valuable features are those around playlist creation and customization. Cons My one complaint about Sprout is that sometimes playback caching is slow, causing the player to pause during playback. I record the webinars because we include 90 days access to the recordings with paid registrations. We also sell the recordings to those who didn't participate in the live webinar. We store the recordings on SproutVideo and have been doing so for about two years. Pros: 1. the software is easy to use and consistently works. I have never had a client complaint about it. I can set up access to recordings in various ways that meet my needs 2. support is exemplary. There have been a few times I've had questions and I have always been able to get a fast response. We were able to use APIs to customize for our deployment, and have had 0 issues with the platform. The flexible payment model is fantastic.
