I was blown away! Companies pay thousands of dollars to approach this level of professional software. You could run multi-center clinical trials with this alone. Support team at the University of Graz has done a fantastic job putting Phoenix together.

Pros

This is an amazing, open source CTMS software. I have never seen something so complete in a free package. PHI is encrypted, clinical trials can be tracked, and it all can be deployed on a standard Ubuntu 16.04 system. There's even an installer, so you don't have to be an expert on Linux architecture. Phoenix CTMS comes with a full audit trail function built in by default. You could be 21 Part 11 compliant with this software, depending how you implement your user structure.

Cons

There are a few quirks. You have to understand SQL Querying to search for users, sites, and CRFs. The interface works through a series of pop-up tabs, which can get a little confusing if you are doing too many things at once. These minor hurdles are well worth getting over for the functionality the software provides.

Review source

Non-incentivized review: any software user can leave a review for any product listed on our site. All submitted reviews are subject to our verification process prior to publication.
