### "Best Continous Monitoring Software For FedRAMP Usecase"

March 30, 2022

5.0

The Ignyte team is well resourced and has deep knowledge of GRC Processes. We love working with them.

Pros

The ability to automate controls and integrate technical security operations information is the most useful feature of the Ignyte Platform. More specifically, we are leveraging this software for: FedRAMP SSP generation, ATO Management, POA&M Management and CONMON Features.

Cons

That I didn't know about it sooner and relied on manual processes.

Reason for choosing Ignyte Assurance Platform

Great time to value

### "Modernized IRM Solution | FedRAMP and RMF ATO Automation"

March 28, 2022

5.0

The Ignyte team is a small but mighty team as they have a team that works hard, and ensures their clients have the data that they need in order to successfully manage their complex compliance, governance and risk management tasks and in this digital business environment we operate in now - this platform is necessary for security professionals, executive management to manage complex risks spread out through disparate environments.

Pros

Ignyte has been extremely impactful on how we manage our ATO packages for our FedRAMP and DoD Impact Level systems/applications. This platform was built by Information System Security Managers (ISSMs) - therefore this team and product is built for these type of complex regulations/frameworks. The platform being cloud-native has the ability to integrate with our modern tooling set and can map container-based scans to our NIST 800-53 control baselines. The UI is very user friendly and provides the C-level executives/key stakeholders a common operational picture in real-time for all of our systems/applications we have within our portfolio. We had previously utilized eMASS within some of our DoD projects - however it was not able to ingest specific scan data that Ignyte is able to ingest and also map to the 800-53 control set and produces reports required for ATO packages (SSP, POA&Ms) and has lifted that burden from us so we can focus on building minimal viable products (MVPs) and

Cons

I have not experienced any issues or any missing features or any issues with existing features.

### "Excellent GRC Platform for continuous monitoring automation features"

December 21, 2022

5.0

Overall, I had a very positive experience using the Ignyte Platform, and I valued their knowledge and advice as we handled the CMMC compliance standards and HIPAA/HITRUST, along with other technology and strategic decisions.

Pros

For executing risk assessments against compliance standards and risk management frameworks, such as CMMC, HIPAA, HITRUST and the NIST SP 800-171, the Ignyte Platform is the perfect GRC software solution. It offers data-driven automation and integration to improve workflows and ongoing control monitoring. The ability to add in other custom systems of records, and then connect them back to compliance from one platform is simply amazing. I love the Ignyte GRC automation ecosystem.

Cons

I would want to see improvements made on the reporting and widgets available. Or, if there was a way to create my own. Also, there seems to be a lack of formal documentation and an easy way to report issues and feedbacks. Customer service is fantastic, but maybe little guides within the platform may be nice as references. Just a thought.

### "ignyte Assurance Platform (IAP) Software Review - American College of Medical Genetics & Genomics"

September 2, 2018

5.0

The ACMG provides ATO Maintenance for systems that support researchers nationwide that participate in the Newborn Screening Translational Research Network (NBSTRN) under Federal Contract. The underlying OMB, FIPS and FISMA requirements obliged the ACMG to implement SA workflows that include such tasks as: 1) Annual Audits by Independent Panel of Experts; 2) Secure Change-Control Management; 3) Annual Self-Assessments of Security Controls; and 4) ongoing review and upgrades to all pertinent SA documentation that underpin SSPs, POA&Ms, SARs etc. The ACMG Enterprise Security Team implemented and populated IAP two years ago. This resulted in the opportunity to both standardize and centralize SA work products. Using IAP, the ACMG's FISMA Control Board performed Year 1 and Year 2 Audits of Self-Assessments of Security Control Results successfully to maintain two FISMA Moderate ATOs (i.e., 4 audits) and the DAA likewise performed the Year 1 and Year 2 Audits of Self-Assessments of Security Control Results successfully to maintain the ATO for the FISMA Low Risk-Category (i.e., 2 audits). IAP was also used to support a total of twelve quarterly ATO Maintenance submissions over the past two years with 100 percent success. Currently the ACMG maintains a 99% completion percentage rate for a total of 758 Security Controls and a myriad of associated Security Control Enhancements across three systems. IAP also affords the ability to record, track and monitor over 250 known deficiencies.

Pros

IAP affords data orchestration capabilities that serve to "future-proof" Security Authorization efforts at the ACMG. For example, the ACMG holds three concurrent Authorizations To Operate (ATO) from the NIH/NICHD following the NIST Risk Management Framework Version 4 (two RMF4 Moderate and one RMF4 Low Risk-Category). Given that RMF5 is pending, previous labor-intensive efforts updating Security Authorization (SA) documentation from RMF3 to RMF4 to comply with FISMA can be supported using IAP, thereby saving a tremendous amount of resource. The ACMG's SA requires maintaining three concurrent ATOs so migrating and mapping the myriad of NIST Security Controls for three System Security Plans (SSP) to comply with FISMA RMF4 using IAP has proven to be incredibly powerful. Using IAP to migrate from RMF3 to RMF4 also helped the ACMG's Designated Accrediting Authority (DAA) centralize Security Control Responses for all three ATOs . Now, within a single, securely hosted environment, IAP can afford the ACMG with the ability to accommodate RMF5 changes using data orchestrations. Additionally, IAP also affords the ability to work both Synchronously (face-to-face in small groups) and asynchronously (remotely) to perform Audits, generate POA&Ms, and to generate reports. This too has proven to save resources.

Cons

The least liked feature of the software was IAP's Artifact Management workflow with respect to how uploads are performed. ACMG SA staff have requested a "drag-and-drop" interface to replace the current directory-based upload interface.

### "CMMC Compliance with Ignyte"

March 15, 2022

5.0

The entire Ignyte team has been great to work with. They're knowledgeable, professional, and get things done.

Pros

The software is a nice complement to our internal systems. Not having realign our practices to the software but rather have the software work within the limits of our own tools makes the software easy to implement and use.

Cons

We're happy with what's included and haven't found any deficiencies

### "Ignyte Assurance Platform - Best risk management, governance and compliance tool on the market"

July 10, 2019

5.0

The benefits we have realized from a business perspective is the increased efficiency and bandwidth. With the Ignyte Platform, we are able to focus more on our patients and their needs as opposed to creating compliance documents (policies, procedures) manually. And we are able to conduct or internal risk assessments very easily now and see where our gaps are at before we receive an audit notification.

Pros

Coming from a non-technical person, the usability is fantastic, easy to navigate and assign security controls to certain people, create custom frameworks and document automation is key for our HIPAA and HITECH regulations.

Cons

At this time there is nothing negative I can say with the software. Ignyte has done everything we needed

Reason for choosing Ignyte Assurance Platform

Ignyte is reasonably priced compared to lower-cost platforms because it can handle heavy workloads and complex frameworks. I believe you get what you pay for and Ignyte Assurance Platform was well worth the money due to our increased efficiency with other business needs.

### "Excellent Product, Easy to use, Subject Matter Experts"

April 26, 2022

5.0

The principles are very knowledgeable about cyber operations and governance, risk, and compliance. We would highly recommend that others take a close look at their product offering.

Pros

Ease of use and the ability to manage our ISO 27001 certification, CAPA, HIPAA Compliance efforts, supplier risk, and asset management. The platform helps us proactively manage risk & compliance operations, coupled with a knowledgable and responsive support team. The automated cross mappings between the current work and future initiatives such as FedRAMP, CMMC, and similar frameworks are helpful.

Cons

Integrations are available (i.e. AWS), however, it costs a one-time fee to set up and create.

### "Ignyte GRC Platform Review"

May 26, 2022

5.0

My overall experience with the Ignyte Assurance Platform has been positive. The platform is user friendly, easy to set up, configure and use, and conducive to a positive user experience.

Pros

A key feature that sets Ignyte apart from its competition is the Natural Language Process, based on Machine Learning Language. This allows for the effective and efficient mapping of controls between frameworks, saving time, money, and resource allocations.

Cons

Ignyte has a document/artifact repository, however, it could be enhanced for better document management utilizing the features native to the platform (e.g., natural language platform).

Reason for choosing Ignyte Assurance Platform

We had a committee evaluating potential GRC platforms. We utilized demos, product sheets, etc., to reach our decision based on our requirements and immediate needs. The Ignyte Assurance Platform was universally recognized by the committee as an exceptional solution compared to its competition.

### "An excellent product backed by expertise and experience"

May 20, 2022

4.0

The Ignyte team are experienced cybersecurity experts and have been wonderful to partner with our project. I highly recommend Ignyte and the Ignyte Assurance Platform.

Pros

Very user-friendly and intuitive. We are using the platform for a unique accreditation and authorization (ATO) use case for the DoD. The product seamlessly integrated our compliance requirements based on NIST and FedRAMP standards. It provided continuous governance of control responses, ownership assignment, and the collection of artifacts (body of evidence) while automating the generation of critical documents (e.g., System Security Plan and Plan of Action & Milestones).

Cons

Nothing of note to report. All issues and concerns were addressed promptly.

### "Haltec Corporation - Business Process / Technical Review"

March 24, 2022

5.0

Overall the tool put our business in a better position to start practicing a more formal security/risk assessment/management process.

Pros

The software brought visibility to opportunities in our environment to better our security posture. We also appreciated the detail around correcting outlined vulnerabilities.

Cons

The software offered redundancy to some of our internal systems which created additional work for my team. Often times had issues with uploading SCAP results and the lack of scanning on MACOS.

### "Ignyte Assurance Platform will be key to passing our audit"

March 18, 2022

5.0

My overall experience has been phenomenal. My program team, led by \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\], is impeccable. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] keeps me on track with my program goals and makes sure I'm educated on all things cyber so I can make informed decisions. It has been a pleasure working with Ignyte Assurance Platform. Because of this, I have already recommended them to two other companies.

Pros

The most important feature of the software is the ability to track and manage all aspects of my compliance program in a unified and streamlined environment. I am able to monitor adherence to individual controls in my compliance framework, as well as my overall compliance to the program. Tracking deficiencies is simple and easy. Furthermore, the ability to store and track artifacts will help us immensely when we start the audit process.

Cons

My use of the software is limited at the moment, but so far I have not come across any missing features or any issues with existing features.
