" December 10, 2019 4.0 The benefit of being able to quickly access my clients schedules and current grades to continue with communication of teachers and parents. Pros Power school is easy to use. The layout on the left side makes navigating through to find certain categories for the client. Inputting and editing is also easy. Cons There is not much that is a con with this software. However, I do not like that the search bar does not always clear, or the previous search is always listed when you go back for a new one. Review Source Terran G. Pros I like how easy it was stay updated on my progress as a student. It makes grades and assignments easy to find and allows great feedback from teachers. Cons When compared to other school software, it seems to a be a bit lacking in features that I am now used to. Pros My local school district uses this software to input grades and keep track of absences and tardies for their students. Recently, they have begun using it to deliver report cards, ensuring that no paper is wasted and report cards are not lost or forgotten. Cons My local district does not use all of the features of this software, and even has many of them disabled, and uses other software in those feature's stead. This is incredibly frustrating. Its interface is lacking and not very intuitive on the whole. Pros PowerSchool provides a range of record-keeping and communication options for managing classrooms and institutions. It is particularly strong in terms of grading and attendance. Cons The interface is rather primitive and not as intuitive as other record-keeping solutions or programs. Also adds transparency to my child's scholastic performance. Allows me to see where she really shines and where she could use a little more guidance. Pros It opens up communication not only with the school and teacher, but gives you a window into what is going on at school with your child on a day-to-day basis. Cons Sometimes, the features on the mobile app can be a little clunky. Overall though, dealing with a little app "clunkiness" is worth the window into your child's academic world. Pros I love that this software keeps me updated on all my kids grades in school. The app is amazing and you get up to date alerts on each subject. Cons This software performs as you would expect and there are no negative aspects of to mention. It works great. Pros I liked that I could use it as my attendance book, and there were lots of other features I didn't use. Cons I wish I was in a higher grade to utilize other features like the grade book! I was in preschool, and there was no purpose for me to use those other features. It keeps so many people connected with their child's teacher. Pros Allows parents, students, and teachers to share student learning and data right at their fingertips. Parents can track their children's progress via a virtual platform from any computer or device. Cons Sometimes, the website is down for maintenance. Pros The ease of use is the programs best asset. You simply title your assignment and assign the points. Class rosters and grades are just a click away. By far the best grade book software I've used as an educator. Cons There is very little not to like. It has an impeccably simple user-interface that is incredibly intuitive, ranging from basic (such as grades and attendance) to complicated (such as health records or prior exam scores). This can be used to very easily reference students, allowing more time to interact with them and less time on organization. Cons Each student is given a unique username and password. If this is ever forgotten, there is little you can do to assist with this. Further, there is no desktop version of the application, making it frustrating when you are without internet (albeit this is a rare occurrence when in a setting where this is most likely to apply, such as at home or in a school building). Great product. Cons I helped with the team that implemented it at a different school and it was hard to integrate our old data. But the PowerSchool team was always available to work with us until we got it running.
