Speech therapist Education Management Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Powerschool" April 9, 2021 3.0 Overall, I do not love using PowerSchool for logs and attendance. I feel like it just takes up too much time in my day that I do not have. Pros I like that I can create a schedule using PowerSchool so that I can do attendance and notes for each of my students on the correct day. Cons I find it very time consuming to make new logs. I would like times/ other options to be pre-populated to save time. Not only PowerSchool easy to use but it is so easy to create any type of report with PowerSchool. Cons I particularly dislike how it logs me out very quickly. Pros Very nice program to get real-time information on your children progress in school. Plus it’s handy for communicating with the teacher. Cons Mainly the issues is user related. Pros I like this software because it is really easy to use and it is a good grading app for school. The software is really easy to understand and they keep record of all your grades. its really cool. i also like the GPA that they show. Cons I really dont like anything least about the app but if I was to suggest ab upgrade it would be the GPA. It doesn't calculate accurate GPA for some people especially those having a mix of honors and regular classes. Review Source NS Nicole S. It is a convenient tool to have, as I like that I'm able to access my students' contact information, grading history, schedules, and other details related to each student's profile. Cons Since I work at multiple schools, it's problematic that I am only permitted access to one school's information, so I require someone else to access the information I require at alternate locations. Pros Medication fields are the only part of this software I like. Cons We have been using this program for months. We still they can not get the immunizations moved over from the old system. Pros PowerSchool is one of the simpler to navigate school resources I have used; everything is very easy to access for students and school staff. Pros So far I have used PowerSchool to take attendance for my three children. I see that there are plenty of other features but time is of the essence right now. Cons Taking attendance using Forms logs you out every time you switch children. The form also is not clearly submitted every day making me wonder if I really submitted it or not. Pros I love that this allows me to check in on my child's grades and progress over time. It is also very handy because it can be accessed at any time. July 7, 2019 4.0 It works well for basic grades and schedules but not as a primary source for educational purposes. Pros I enjoyed how my grades were laid out, and how I could do many other things, like check my schedule and look at my past grades. Cons On its own, this software doesn't hold up very well. You have to have another program to coordinate with it because the built-in system to communicate with the basic PowerSchool software isn't worthwhile. Review Source EK Evelina K. Pros Very easy to use. Able to login from anywhere and view my child's daily progress in all of his classes. Cons Lack of accountability.
