I have had \[sensitive content hidden\] who have helped me get implemented on trainaul and then after implementation the follow ups have been great. Trainual is very user friendly and allows you to manage your employees training and onboarding in one place. But it also allows you to add chrome extensions to sites your company uses, so they can access training notes as they are doing the process. Pros The fact that you can assign content to specific users, the chrome extension which allows the team to follow steps while they are doing the process. The AI is a great feature to being able to ask a question and have the AI pull from all published content on Trainual is very useful and it even links where the employee can find the content. Cons Importing documents, require formatting. Somethings are harder to get on than others. Though I found some work arounds that make it easier. I know it is something that they are working on. I was able to assist and we have now built a complete training program with Trainual as the backbone. Pros Trainual is so easy to use unlike so many software platforms. When you use Trainual you can build a complete training program (I just did that for a client) or use it for one-off needs for communication with your team. AND you can easily verify who has completed which tasks. Cons I really cannot think of anything I don't like or anything I'd change at this point. In some cases it takes two clicks when editing to get back to the other courses I'm working on. That's minor, once I did it, it became a standard operating procedure. Acknowledgements currently go to the "reports to" or, if no direct report listed, the Billing Admin. Many members of the firm have spent countless hours working on setting up our page, but have run into issues daily trying to accomplish our goals. Upon launch day, we had so many issues trying to get this out to our members. One example is that the user screen is totally different from the administrators screen; it was extremely difficult to teach someone how to use new software when the page looks totally different from what had been working on. I reached out and got on a call and then figured out this was not even possible unless everyone had editor's rights under "Contributor." This has made using this program very challenging and kind of a waste of our time. The customer service has responded quickly to my messages, but a lot of the issues we've had were not able to be fixed. A couple of them were glitches with the system or were added to a list to be worked on in the future. Pros This software is a great idea and has several successful functions. It allows businesses to save time by having a program that is able to store several videos and passages that explain how to complete certain tasks or use different applications. It allows businesses to update information as new things arise or update, which is extremely effective for a business as times change frequently. Cons Formatting is difficult to use. For example, users are not able to edit their own typefaces or sizes of text, which is necessary when trying to organize things effectively. Also, when copy and pasting text, the format totally changes and does not resemble what was copied. This adds several minutes onto accomplishing a task, as you have to go back in and change the formatting several times in order to get it to look the way that you want. Functions are difficult to use. For example, we have been using the embedding feature through Vimeo. This took several hours to try to get all of the videos embedded because the page kept crashing and would not load the videos. The videos were about 30 seconds to 2 minutes long, so not long at all. I had to log out and in several times to get some of the videos to load properly. This took several hours of time which was extremely frustrating and inconvenient. This is an essential feature for our business as we are teaching employees how to complete different tasks or use certain applications. The customer service chat function is difficult to use. I appreciative the quick response from agents I have spoken to from Trainual, but it is often times difficult to type out issues in a chat. I think it would be much more effective to have a Customer Service number in which users can call and be able to talk and explain their issues. We mainly use it for onboarding and its nice to have one platform for the new hires to see everything they need to see in one place. Its always a hassle to keep it up to date but that is nothing to do with trainual. Pros I like the UI/UX design the most. Seems really user friendly compared to other onboarding software I have used in the past. I also liked how easy it was to integrate Okta as well. Cons Probably the group permissions and how to assign like one group to an entire ecosystem of training documents. I do think it may be how we are setup however. I do see how it could be expensive for a new small business to start using the tool because the new prices are very expensive, but as stated, we've been grandfathered in. Pros Trainual allows us to easily write down our processes and establish norms across my team and business. It's constantly improving and adding features that are actually useful in documenting or making that documentation more accessible for the team. Even off platform, they innovated buttons that you can tap with your phone to bring up a preset process. We've used the platform for a while, and they've always grandfathered us into the appropriate pricing/feature tier with our previous pricing, so it hasn't been too expensive for us. Writing documentation is easy with their tools (AI, PDF imports, GIFs, etc.), and the interface is easy to navigate on desktop. Reporting is super useful to keep track of who's read/been trained on what. Cons Our biggest struggle is outside of Trainual but it's getting our team to adopt and use Trainual instead of asking others what to do for processes. Trainual is just too on the peripheral for our business currently. Part of what causes that is the confusing interface on mobile. The mobile app and site make finding processes a little difficult with the general library of knowledge existing in a separate place that what get's shown on the dashboard, essentially creating two separate spaces where the processes exist and the dashboard version sometimes is more difficult to navigate. It is easy to implement, easy to use (as a teacher) and easy to use (as a learner). Cons The loom integration is fantastic, but it seems like a lot to have to pay for Loom on top of the Trainual cost. It should be included. May 25, 2023 5.0 Very positive, rarely an issue from your apps or programs and the one time I did have trouble it was resolved promptly. Pros Most useful is the simplicity and ability in sending specific trainings to specific members. If someone is struggling in one area we simply reset their training and go back over it with them. We are looking forward to teams so we can begin doing this by group as well! Cons Really need to be able to categorize members into multilayered teams for ease and precision in what is being sent to train on. Ops Manager Marketing and Advertising Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Trainual Is Straightforward, Practical, and Smooth" November 30, 2022 5.0 Trainual is really easy to use for both admins and users. I love that we can all reference the same materials very easily, and everyone knows what training they have yet to complete at a glance. Pros Honestly, I like how modern it looks the most. Previously, our company used Zoho and it had a lot of features, but it didn't look smooth. When you're trying to learn something new, you need as few distractions as possible. With Trainual's polished look, you're able to focus. On the administrator side, you can create everything you need without any training. Just take a moment to plan out your training, and you'll be alright. Cons The only gripe I have is the assessments. Zoho had a lot of options for the question types, and in Trainual I was hoping for the same. I adapted many of the questions that I migrated over, so it's okay, but having different question types helps break up the monotony. We have to ask a lot of questions in certain training modules, so this really helped, but this technical limitation hasn't actually held us back in practice. We continue to love Trainual. Communicating and standardizing processes has always plagued veterinary managers and this program allows everything to be documented and instructed in one place. Pros This software is well organized for learners, users and managers. Team members love that it can be used on their mobile phone for learning and to reference material when needed. I love the search function! I also appreciate that Trainual has stayed responsive to rolling out new improvements. Cons I wish there were more interactive activities available for the users. We use it heavily as a learning system, as well as a place to document SOP's, and we miss some of the interactive features that we had in other programs like Nearpod.
