I’ve found Trainual really helpful for our team. It keeps our information secure, makes training and onboarding much easier, and helps us stay organized. The search and checklists make finding what I need quick, file management is simple, and the support team is always responsive. Overall, it’s a great tool for small business operations.

It simplifies our training process, reduces repetitive questions to managers, ensures everyone has consistent information, and helps new team members get up to speed faster.

Cons

Overall, Trainual works really well, but sometimes I find that certain updates or new content aren’t immediately noticeable. It could be helpful to have a clearer way to highlight recent changes or important updates so nothing gets missed

It is an adequate product that gets the job done, but it is likely not as robust of a tool that would be required for a larger organization.

Pros

It's a fairly easy to use platform that gives us the ability to provide training moduels for our staff on any topic that we need to cover.

Cons

The renewal process is often difficult, and the user interface isn't always as intuitive as I think it should be.

The return on investment was easy to see, the amount of time I have been able to save having trainual running for my team has been amazing.

The ease & ability to streamline training processes for scalability and growth at our small business. Customer support is excellent, they are always there to help with any questions I might have. The ability to upload documents for employee review and ensure they have read through policies and processes.

Cons

The inability to upload videos directly without using an iframe link. I do wish there was a feature that showed hours spent on trainual for each employee.

Not much to dislike. Wish the end users had a little more control over how they can view and organize the content on their own homescreen, but that's really the only thing I'd change.

Overall, it’s been a really positive experience. It’s easy to use and didn’t take much effort to get started, which helped us get traction pretty quickly. We haven’t fully rolled it out yet, but even so, it’s already been a big improvement having processes and documentation in one place instead of scattered across folders and people’s memories. The Trainual University courses are a standout—they make it much easier for less tech-savvy users to get comfortable without feeling overwhelmed. Support has also been consistently excellent—quick, helpful, and easy to work with when something isn’t clear. One thing that really stands out is how involved the Trainual team is. They actually listen to feedback, stay active in the community, and seem genuinely interested in making the product better. It doesn’t feel like you’re just using a tool—it feels like there’s a team behind it that’s paying attention.

Pros

It’s really easy to use and didn’t take much effort to get started. The layout is clean, so you’re not constantly explaining it to people. We haven’t fully rolled it out yet, but even in limited use it’s been helpful having processes in one place instead of scattered everywhere. Also, their customer support is top-notch—quick, helpful, and easy to work with.

Cons

There are a lot of features, which is nice, but it can feel like more than you need when you’re still figuring out your structure. Since we haven’t fully rolled it out, usage has dipped a bit while we work on making it more of a core system. Some areas could also be a little more intuitive, especially when setting things up.

### "Trainual: An easy system for building a complete training program "

I recommended Trainual to a client and the Trainual team helped them see the value and showed the client how to make it work for their needs. I was able to assist and we have now built a complete training program with Trainual as the backbone.

Pros

Trainual is so easy to use unlike so many software platforms. When you use Trainual you can build a complete training program (I just did that for a client) or use it for one-off needs for communication with your team. AND you can easily verify who has completed which tasks.

Cons

I really cannot think of anything I don't like or anything I'd change at this point. In some cases it takes two clicks when editing to get back to the other courses I'm working on. That's minor, once I did it, it became a standard operating procedure.

As someone developing over 70 hours of material, that flexibility matters. I can organize everything by role and process, link in videos and tools, and keep it all in one clear, accessible system. It’s also been great for the team. They can open a section and immediately find the latest information, templates, and training materials without digging through shared folders. It keeps everyone aligned and saves a ton of time.

Cons

As an administrator, it can be tough to keep track of comments and feedback across a large amount of content. With over 70 hours of material, I’d like an easier way to see when someone leaves a comment and jump directly to it instead of having to search through individual documents. It’s a small thing, but it would make managing and updating content much more efficient.

### "A Must for a smaller organization"

Being able to store all of our material within one place is what is great about Trainual. Using SharePoint is good but it has to be done in file formats and that I dont want. Its very easy for files to be lost or you forget the name. This one allows a couple of admins and the rest view users only. If I wanted to I can track where my people are in the training process with the assessment trackers.

Pros

I love the fact that I have full control over everything within Trainual. Being able to add, remove, edit anything within Trainual is something all companies should want. We shouldnt have to ask for permission to add stuff to our training guides. I can start a guide and leave it until I am ready to publish. I can go back and forth without anyone seeing it or my work getting lost until I am submit it for publishing. It has banners, allows inserts of docs, videos, YouTube, and other apps. I can even record what I am doing on my computer with the Chrome extension. That is an awesome future. The cost is also good and you can store tons of information within it. The templates are also a huge help.

Cons

Personally after 1 year, I dont have a lot of negative stuff to say about Trainual. Anytime ive needed help, its been pretty easy. Maybe a suggestion/recommendation future would be cool. Something that can give you some tips or advice on how to make your current training guide better. More of a want then a con though.

Trainual has been quite frustrating and difficult to use overall. Many members of the firm have spent countless hours working on setting up our page, but have run into issues daily trying to accomplish our goals. Upon launch day, we had so many issues trying to get this out to our members. One example is that the user screen is totally different from the administrators screen; it was extremely difficult to teach someone how to use new software when the page looks totally different from what had been working on. I reached out and got on a call and then figured out this was not even possible unless everyone had editor's rights under "Contributor." This has made using this program very challenging and kind of a waste of our time. The customer service has responded quickly to my messages, but a lot of the issues we've had were not able to be fixed. A couple of them were glitches with the system or were added to a list to be worked on in the future.

Pros

This software is a great idea and has several successful functions. It allows businesses to save time by having a program that is able to store several videos and passages that explain how to complete certain tasks or use different applications. It allows businesses to update information as new things arise or update, which is extremely effective for a business as times change frequently.

Cons

Formatting is difficult to use. For example, users are not able to edit their own typefaces or sizes of text, which is necessary when trying to organize things effectively. Also, when copy and pasting text, the format totally changes and does not resemble what was copied. This adds several minutes onto accomplishing a task, as you have to go back in and change the formatting several times in order to get it to look the way that you want. Functions are difficult to use. For example, we have been using the embedding feature through Vimeo. This took several hours to try to get all of the videos embedded because the page kept crashing and would not load the videos. The videos were about 30 seconds to 2 minutes long, so not long at all. I had to log out and in several times to get some of the videos to load properly. This took several hours of time which was extremely frustrating and inconvenient. This is an essential feature for our business as we are teaching employees how to complete different tasks or use certain applications. The customer service chat function is difficult to use. I appreciative the quick response from agents I have spoken to from Trainual, but it is often times difficult to type out issues in a chat. I think it would be much more effective to have a Customer Service number in which users can call and be able to talk and explain their issues.

Trainual stands out in keeping all the necessary information about my company in one place. It has changed onboarding significantly and made preparing tasks easier for the employees as all that needed is just one click away and new hires are easier to train and we get to observe the way things are done in the organization.

Cons

I have observed that there is one concern with the program that, while the search step is beneficial, the design sometimes fails to search properly using very advanced recommendations. It is a bit cumbersome as I would want when searching for specific details within the documents which can still be enhanced.

It can get confusing if you arent familiar with the platform or do not use it frequently. It takes some getting used to.

Overall it's going to fill our need for business process documentation well. It has the features and support we need at the right price. I only with it weren't called "Trainual" because it's really not a training platform.

Pros

I love the responsiveness of the support team and the structures they have in place for deploying the platform. It's a clean, well-though-out platform with a good balance of structure and flexibility to meet most organizations' needs.

Cons

There are a lot of features still in development, and a lot of pieces changing. Dark mode was released, but doesn't work yet with the brand styles. There is a "Team" tag separate from the "role" and "title" fields, but it doesn't have any functionality yet. Sometimes the colors are off, or the whole page shows as code instead. It's nothing a refresh can't fix, but there's definitely a feeling of making sacrifices for the sake of being part of a vision.

### "Excellent method of keeping any sized team up to date!"

Very positive, rarely an issue from your apps or programs and the one time I did have trouble it was resolved promptly.

Pros

Most useful is the simplicity and ability in sending specific trainings to specific members. If someone is struggling in one area we simply reset their training and go back over it with them. We are looking forward to teams so we can begin doing this by group as well!

Cons

Really need to be able to categorize members into multilayered teams for ease and precision in what is being sent to train on.

We look to partner with companies that share and live out ours, safe caring and fun. We find Trainual absolutely lives these values for their employees and we find that ensures our needs will be cared for as well. This is a major selling point for Camel Express CW.

### "Trainual Is Straightforward, Practical, and Smooth"

Trainual is really easy to use for both admins and users. I love that we can all reference the same materials very easily, and everyone knows what training they have yet to complete at a glance.

Pros

Honestly, I like how modern it looks the most. Previously, our company used Zoho and it had a lot of features, but it didn't look smooth. When you're trying to learn something new, you need as few distractions as possible. With Trainual's polished look, you're able to focus. On the administrator side, you can create everything you need without any training. Just take a moment to plan out your training, and you'll be alright.

Cons

The only gripe I have is the assessments. Zoho had a lot of options for the question types, and in Trainual I was hoping for the same. I adapted many of the questions that I migrated over, so it's okay, but having different question types helps break up the monotony. We have to ask a lot of questions in certain training modules, so this really helped, but this technical limitation hasn't actually held us back in practice. We continue to love Trainual.

### "Trainual is a game changer!"

Trainual is a game changer in veterinary hospitals! Communicating and standardizing processes has always plagued veterinary managers and this program allows everything to be documented and instructed in one place.

Pros

This software is well organized for learners, users and managers. Team members love that it can be used on their mobile phone for learning and to reference material when needed. I love the search function! I also appreciate that Trainual has stayed responsive to rolling out new improvements.

Cons

I wish there were more interactive activities available for the users. We use it heavily as a learning system, as well as a place to document SOP's, and we miss some of the interactive features that we had in other programs like Nearpod. The loss of this is still worth it to have the streamlined design and reporting features that Trainual offers.

Our experience with utilizing Trainual for our onboarding has been positive overall. It has proven to be an efficient solution for streamlining our onboarding processes. The software's current capabilities have met our needs and facilitated a smoother transition for new hires.However, we acknowledge that there is untapped potential in the software that we have yet to explore fully. We recognize the importance of investing time to enter additional information and familiarize ourselves with the software's additional features. Once we allocate the necessary time for these tasks, we believe the software will enhance our onboarding processes even further.Overall, we highly recommend Trainual for its effectiveness, and we are eager to continue unlocking its full potential.

Pros

One of the aspects we appreciate the most is the ability to provide consistent information to our new hires in a highly efficient manner. It allows them to progress through the onboarding process at their own pace. The inclusion of quizzes within the program has significantly enhanced the learning experience. It not only reinforces their understanding but also provides a way to assess their knowledge retention. We are looking forward to the access they will have to our standard operating procedures, once we have them added to the program. This will serve as a valuable resource, enabling them to refer back to important guidelines and processes as needed.

Cons

We would appreciate the capability for increases e-signatures without incurring additional expenses. It would be beneficial to have a solution that allows us to handle a higher volume of signatures without any added costs. Alternatively, if there was a more effective way to sign off on all policies within the program that would eliminate the need for additional e-signatures. This would simplify and streamline the process and would further enhance our onboarding experience.
