The ease of use and practicality has increased our efficiency and quality of work from new hires. Pros As a remote company, Trainual provides a one-stop platform for all training material. I like that I can add written materials, videos, and images/documents to create a cohesive and user-friendly training resource. Using Trainual allows our company to keep training consistent and gets our new hires trained much more quickly. Instead of pulling a team member for one-on-one training for the basics, we can get them started on Trainual, then transition to on-the-job training much more effectively. Cons There are certain features that would make assigning tasks more efficient but with the proactive updates, I expect Trainual will come up with a solution soon enough. Wil Pagod has been there every step of the way to help me navigate when I've had questions. Pros As a training coordinator it gives me flexibility. It does not replace face to face training. But is an addition to the training program. It allows members to complete training on their time and gives us the ability to easily update said training. Cons The initial roll out was a little confusing for members who aren't computer literate. But it didn't take much training to get them up to speed. Reason for choosing Trainual Trainual offered everything that I was looking for. An easy to use platform that was easily updated and had the integrations I needed. I think there are some opportunities to upgrade the end user experience. Additionally, I would love to see more formatting options when building out trainings. Pros The process of building out training in Trainual is very easy and organized well. Also, the process of adding new users, onboard, tracking and assign trainings is straight forward. Cons I don't love the users interface. It isn't as organized and it can be a little hard for teammates to find information if they don't know exactly what they are looking for. This allows us to track and efficiently train new and existing employees. Pros Trainual is a very useful tool that allows us to easily train new and existing employees. Cons Even though this platform works great for training people it gets updates quite frequently. Employees have a very good idea on what to do before they even start their first day on the job Pros its great for documenting SOP's so that new staff have a step by step process on how to complete a task. No more micromanaging each new recruit, this will save you thousands of dollars in wages. Trainees are a liability and not productive until they're trained up correctly. Trainual will get them there much faster. Cons Sometimes completing our core values test can glitch. New employees can lose everything they've written and have to start again. It helps you clearly document processes that are then able to be used to train the team. It can become a great tool to ensure that your team is completing processes your way and not their own. It has helped eliminate tribal knowledge. Pros This is a very user friendly software. Most people are able to pick it up and start using it immedately. This is important because at my business a lot of the knowledge keepers are not very tech savvy. They can still use it. The customer service is incredibly efficient. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] in particular. She answers my questions in the same day, and if she doesn't know the answer she gets someone who will be able to help. Cons In order to have videos on your pages you have to link them through another service. We use YouTube. But I understand why, it helps keep their storage costs low. Like if I searched for a specific procedure for a hypothetical client named "Red" the search function will more than likely return values for other procedures that have the word "red" somewhere in the procedure. The first results should be based on of trainual name not what is contained within the body/text of each trainual. Causes lots of issues for us as our company name is Longs Peak. The word "peak" is commonly used in the investment industry both as a way to describe the market and also is used in a lot of different firm names. Pros Passing knowledge onto our customers is of the utmost importance to us, thus our team members need to be provided with quick access while they're working live to access these situations with quality solutions. Having Trainual open and accessible during the work day is key to achieving that! Cons I honestly cannot say a bad thing about Trainual. My only point of improvement would be to allow for a directory that does not need to be accessed teamwide for its creation. It was a great experience overall. Pros The fact that we had to suddenly hire and train people in a short manner of time because of an unexpected surge of workload, the ease of transitioning to Trainual really helped. We were using a different software/platform before and it was a bit of a pain and we found Trainual a few months back before hiring, thankfully. Trainual is also perfect for our current needs. It's really easy to learn how to navigate around Trainual and learn how to use it from an Admin perspective. We didn't experience any technical issues along the way even from the user's side. I also liked the feature where you can see their progress in a detailed manner, like when did a specific user start on a course and when did they finish it. Cons There really aren't that many things I didn't like about it. I guess I would just push on considering adding more test styles/quiz styles. Additionally, I think we can add more details on the Reports, like the computed duration of how much time a user spent on a specific subject & course. Also, it'd be nice too if there was a feature where the courses & subjects are locked or set up to be taken in a specific order. These are the things on top of my head right now. I loved the fact that you can have it on phones and you can search. However, as we started to use it more and more, it because "too much" and we prefer a much simpler approach to organizing our systems. It's great software but a bit much for us. Pros The best part about Trainual for us was the ability to have it on the our employees phones and can easily search for topics. Cons I didn't like the organizational format of the software. The platform is super intuitive, so even without much background information/training on the platform, a new user can log in and generate a process or policy with ease (and make them look good too!) They are incorporating more AI integration as well so I expect the process could get even easier.If you do need help, the Trainual help & training center is really thorough and covers the platform itself, how to make awesome processes/policies and anything else you might need. The team is responsive by chat as well anytime I ever had a question or wanted to request a feature. Cons Just a couple features that I think could be helpful: A clear way to prioritize assigned content on the general user's "Desk"/homepage, as well as different options for the "look" of the homepage in general. We love being able to track everyone's progress but hate that it is so difficult to reference material later on. Pros The ability to track employees' progress and completion of each Trainual. Cons Trying to find and reference past Trainuals. Once a Trainual is complete is it very difficult to find and reference back to it unless you remember to favorite it before you complete the Trainual initially. Pros It does provide the user friendly that what and well designed interface enhance the quick working in the software. To create the training by selected the members through the software is amazing that makes possible to categorize the training and programs according to the needs of the member of the team. The possibility to make some edits on the categorization is stunning. The newly-joined member of our company in the entertainment department could enjoy the chance to adopt the skills and functions in a constant way that will make huge profit. Cons To be honest, I do not see any serous problem in general, however, I would tell that the new functions are extremely important. Often times when I message them about an issue I'm having or a feature I am seeking, they are already working on it in the background. The options with Trianual are practically endless! Cons Trainual needs to work on the formatting abilities within the platform. Continuing numbers and bullet points after inserting a photo isn't possible. You can only indent bullet points once there are two or more. Integrations are a work in progress and new ones are added all the time. We operate a business that includes many detailed tasks as part of our daily operations. Trainual allows us a database to which employees may refer for instructions on how to do tasks they only do once in a while without having to go to a manager for a re-training. Pros We love how Trainual allows us to add video clips, etc. as part of the training modules. We also love that it is searchable and employee training progress is trackable. Cons I think that sometimes the roles of Trainual users can be a little confusing . . . Who can change what items, who approves and publishes items, etc. But that may be confusing to me only because I haven't written any modules myself in a long time. August 4, 2023 5.0 The onboarding experience was very insightful. However, other members of our organization seem to struggle with understanding how to best utilize the system. The organization relies on me auditing the content they have created to ensure it is complete, accurate, and follows the proper structure. We will have to do a lot of internal training before we are using the system at its full capacity. Pros My favorite feature of Trainual is the ability to create Loom videos and embed them into the training content. This is far more effective than simply writing out a policy of SOP. Cons The structure of Collection > Subject > Topic > Step can be confusing for team members who weren't part of the Trainual onboarding process. As a company, we started using Trainual when we were around 50 employees. Two years later, the size has doubled. Having our processes documented neatly in one place has been invaluable and has made the process of onboarding and training new hires seamless. In addition to using it for new hires, it's a useful tool for seasoned employees to refer to when a question regarding a process arises. (The search bar is great!) Trainual holds the online copy of our Employee Handbook, meeting notes for different departments, SOPs, and much more. We appreciate the public share feature, which allows you to share a subject via a link with those who do not have a Trainual account. Almost $1k later, I ended up cancelling the subscription and have ZERO to show for it. Pros In theory, it makes the process of onboarding and training easy and efficient. Cons The set up process, even with already having the documentation is burdensome and the flow of how to use the software is confusing. There is no real start and finish or defined, or even suggested, workflow. There are tons of integrations, but no suggestions really as to how to best use them or under what circumstances these things would be useful. It is also incredibly expensive to say that it is ongoing expense that will forever need to be paid for the life of your business. Theres no tapering off or build up. It has to be implemented immediately in order to show it's value and does not account for the set up process. Pros I love how easy it is to use and stay organized and help others get trained. Cons I wish there was a search bar that when a keyword was input, it would show exactly where in the modules that keyword shows up in a list. That would be super helpful in updating old information once it's not relevant rather than having to go through all modules to see where information may be outdated.
