Good early on, with very friendly support and implementation staff, but as soon as problems begin with giving, access to sermons, notifications, etc. These will continue on forever with new problems every other month that will hurt your audience retention.

Pros

ChurchBase was the best looking Church Application available when we purchased in 2020.

Cons

This application looks fine on the surface, but as soon as you start using it you will realize that the company/team/whatever that implements this product doesnt have a clear understanding of what they are doing. They will constantly make changes that seem to indicate they are in the VERY EARLY stages of developing apps and they cannot capably handle the complaints/frustrations/etc. of their buyers.

I have a great experience with Church base software.

Pros

This is the kind of software which can help you draw closer to God. They have a lot of features which can make your worship easy, help you connect your church member, manage your event in church activity, or small group management, and even donating something to the church.

Cons

What i like least in this kind of software is when I first to download it takes a time to register because they need you mobile number, I think its better to register through email or social media account.

Excited at first, extremely let down now.

Pros

Lots of potential, but almost nothing works without bugs. The biggest pro is seeing that there are companies with great intentions/vision.... but even with the best intentions they end up being toxic to ministries. If these people cared about ministry as they say then they would be upfront and tell all the people signing up that this is not a turn key solution as of now. It's cool to see what may be possible... one day. However, they aren't actively looking for bugs it seems or the foundations of the app would at least work. Instead, they are counting on users to stumble across them after wasting time learning their software. SMH, super let down by these people.

Cons

I read the reviews and thought, nah there's no way they are that bad. So I signed up. If you do that you will remember reading this review too and you will be thinking the same thing I am: I have been a terrible steward of my time and staff by allowing them to waste days transferring to this app when from day 1 there were issues. If you have any integrity what so ever you will not force your staff to use this. Basic features (sermons, uploading media, editing posts, front page cards, essentially everything) are filled with bugs. The only reason we have gotten as far as we have with setup is because I am familiar with web development and have utilized their word press option to work around their glitches. The app can, at MOST, be a fancy Youtube front end right now. Even their word press (DIY Website side) works slow and has major glitches, which is phenomenally shocking I'm not even sure how they accomplished that. I have not found a single area of this software that I didn't have to find a work around with. A normal person with no tech experience will never get this functional mainly because you assume the features work like they say... until you message their help center and they either promise you they will fix it which remains just that, a promise for weeks until you find an alternative way of doing it, or they just plain tell you after they work on it that the feature won't work and you'll need to use some obscure method to produce a shotty way of doing it.

Reasons for choosing Church Base

Features, but none of them work so there's literally no reason to switch to them. Hopefully one day they will have the basic bugs fixed so that we can use their system in the most basic sense. Then perhaps they will work on all the other bugs.

Pros

How inexpensive it is compared to other similar companies

Cons

Sadly I have to urge you not to trust your church’s finances with this company. We joined bc of the price difference compared to other similar companies. Well the reason why it’s a “better” financial option rapidly shows in their lack of professionalism specially when it comes to the dealing with the finances. We have had several problems and glitches with the giving side of things. As a fellow pastor to hopefully a next one avoid this company. They still have ways to go to be a trusted site to handle in a responsable manner your church’s finances. Feel free to contact me if you have specific questions.

They truly want to have a great product but they over promise and under deliver in every aspect.

Pros

The promise to deliver is great, the product looks great, the people are nice and genuinely want to help.

Cons

A new problem EVERY DAY. Literally everything will break when you use it. It is full of empty promises that don't deliver. This software takes away from ministry time and will frustrate you beyond belief and you are constantly left hanging with a "were working on that" promise that has no follow through.

From the start of this process (July 2019) to present, our experience with Churchbase has been above and beyond. The team has delivered on the things they promised and is willing to address areas of growth. For our first experience ever with a church app, we've felt taken care of, with the perfect amount of freedom to design and customize, as well as support to address the more in-depth elements.

Pros

I have been most impressed with the customer service! Their response is prompt (within 24-48 hours) and their team is polite and patient. Each rep I have worked with has answered my questions and helped coach me through the entire process. They are communicative and open to feedback. The app and web design is clean and professional, I've been impressed with how modern and intuitive the app and website are.

Cons

Every piece of critical feedback around this software has been "fix-able". We have not run into any major shortcomings or unexpected snafus.

We initially subscribed to Church Base because after a lot of research, it appeared to be the best bang for our buck. When we first started the service, everything was going great and no complaints. After a few months they started making "updates", but rather than improving any experiences they usually just broke things within the system. I spent more time getting support to fix things than I was actually able to improve anything for our congregation. The final straw for us, Church Base kept experiencing down time \*on Sundays\*! several times it was just the notes section that went down (which is a big deal), and one time the whole app was down (bigger deal). Ultimately, we had to end our subscription and move on to another company. I truly believe Church Base could be a great contender in the app market, but they have to crack down on quality control before that can happen. On the plus side, their support is pretty good and they try to get things fixed as quick as they can.

Pros

Great support and friendly staff. Has potential to be better.

Cons

Many "updates" to created that usually broke something in the system, i.e. They updated the portal to upload sermons to the app, but it wouldn't work. They had to revert me back to the old portal to get sermons to upload. The app was terribly slow, and toward the end of our use experienced serval interruptions of down time \*one Sundays\*! a couple of those times were the notes section not working, on time the entire app would not load. The admin portal is very cluttered. They use frames within the site to control different aspects of the app which makes for a pretty bad and laggy experience trying to keep the app updated.

Every software company has issues. Some are avoidable, and others can be out of our control. We did in fact have one short period of time which unfortunately was a rare issue completely out of our hands. We have since mitigated any risk of this happening again by making necessary changes so our church partnerships won't suffer any downtime. We have since got everything under control and are making improvements daily. Processes have been implemented, and we've invested in the best staff. We are genuinely sorry that things happened the way they did and we're sorry you chose to move on. Overall I am extremely please with the software and the support of Churchbase staff. Our church continued to onboard members and we've maintained a largely elderly user base which continues to wean themselves from the antiquated communications vehicles from decades ago.

Pros

Churchbase software is designed to easily managed by small to large organizations. the administrative interface makes content management a breeze. The connected platform provided built-in efficiency by allowing one content entry point which seamlessly feeds website, app and social integrations. Most importantly, the support at Churchbase is second to none. Even for one-off, individual needs, they are support you at every step from initiation to ongoing availability.

Cons

Marketing to your church or audience can become overwhelming. I would like to see Churchbase build internal marketing media when new platforms, features are added which can be used to train and get the core audience onboard.

Pros

The versatility of churchbase's ChMS is great! Being able to have all of our congregation information in one place and have the potential to communicate and interact them is great

Cons

Currently, we use the app and are attempting to use other portions of the ChMS. Right now the app runs very slow and we find it difficult to convince our congregation to use it. The support staff also seem very busy and only seem to be able to help with one step of a process per day if that. There is definitely a lot of potential in this software but currently, it really is a pain to use

Such an issue can be caused by internet connection, cellular reception and also possible bugs.
