A very pleasant experience, especially as a user of gmail.

Pros

The fact that the the google chat feature is inbuilt in to gmail is extremely useful. You don’t have to toggle back and forth between your emails and the chat feature and sits right in the corner of the app, meaning if you need to contact a member of your team for a quick question that doesn’t necessarily have to be an email, this works great for it. What’s even better is that it allows you to add a quick video chat link within the chat function and you can instantly connect on google meets through this feature. Again, it is very handy.

Cons

The software could be improved further to enable adding files and document more easily.t This option is there, but when the chat is minimised to its smaller size so as not to interfere with the rest of the screen, these buttons are tricky to find.

### "Quickly & Effectively Communicate with Teammates on G-Chat"

I use gchat mostly at work, but I have also used it through my personal email. My company uses Google for email, so I frequently use gchat, sheets, docs, and more.

Pros

I like how I can quickly communicate with teammates in the same window as Gmail. Sometimes the things I need to communicate don't necessarily require an email to be sent. I like that I can ask small/simple questions quickly, and receive responses just as fast.

Cons

Honestly... nothing. I love that I can access it anywhere (phone/computer) and how simple it is to use. My only small suggestion would maybe be a more organized/efficient way to organize and start g-chat group chats. My manager has made group chats before, and for some reason they sometimes don't show up, or I need to go into a separate tab/window to see what was said.

Pros

I like that the interface is really smooth and easy to look at. One of the features I use the most is setting up instant Google Video Chats with my contacts on my team. You just have to click a link, and if you are part of an organization, then you are able to view individual calendars from inside Google Chats when you need to decide on a future meeting time.

Cons

I don't like how you can't sort your group conversations. While you can set up "channels" / "rooms", I end up using the individuals chats a lot to talk to groups of people when I need to set up a meeting. I don't like how disorganized it is to look at and soft through to find a certain group chat. I always have to end up opening a new group chat, and as a result, clutter my left hand bar even more.

I am a hybrid employee, and I find it very simple to stay in touch with my coworkers around shared projects even when I’m not physically in the office. I also like that I can quickly ask a question even if the person I’m messaging is in a meeting.

Overall I am very happy with Google Hangouts both professionally and personally. The mobile app makes it easy to take a conversation from my desktop to my phone, and since most people have a gmail address, it's easy to implement across a group.

Pros

Chatting through Google Hangouts is available to anyone with a gmail account, it's free to use, you can utilize it by logging in to your email account or using the mobile or desktop app, and you can use it for virtual meetings. It's also much simpler to implement and teach to new users than Skype or Microsoft Teams.

Cons

If your organization does not use gmail for its email addresses, than users would have to use a personal email to utilize the tool. It also runs best if you utilize Google Chrome, so if that is not your browser of choice, it may run slowly for you.

Good deals. More achievement, clear communication channel and committed service delivery. Google Chat is a bundle of benefits.

Pros

By far, Google Chat is of help. Very impressive and reasonable cost, high accuracy in its performance. As a CEO, instant messaging has been the most salivating deal. I can reach out to leaders from different departments fast and instantly. Mass texting saves time. I also like the live notifications made possible by Google Chat.

Cons

Just a simple and easy to use software. No complicated features or themes. It has no challenge to me.

It was the missing link in web meetings. I know there is a chat in the meeting but sometimes you need to reach outside the meeting for info. Or, chat on the side with someone IN the meeting.

Overall, Hangouts has been invaluable for our business during COVID. Technical difficulties are rare and if they do happen to pop up, they are easily fixed and never long-lasting. It has been an extremely valuable tool for us.

Pros

Google Hangouts (along with Google Chat) has made it effortless to connect with our teams around the globe and makes video conferencing super easy and efficient. It's ease of use and functionality make it more preferable than Zoom, which has often been glitchy or difficult for some members to use. Especially during COVID, Hangouts makes video conferencing extremely simple and has allowed our team to stay in contact while also allowing us to get facetime with clients who we usually see on a monthly basis. That face-to-face interaction is invaluable to our business and helps us maintain and build relationships despite not being able to meet in person.

Cons

There is little to dislike about Hangouts, but I would like to see more features and functionality to boost the software overall. Since Hangouts is so easy to use, it'd be nice to have a variety of features that are more advanced and integrated into Google's suite of products. For example, if on a Hangout call, users could easily have access to Google Drive, Docs, or Sheets to quickly send files and to share amongst the team in a more seamless fashion.

As I mentioned before, I've used Chat for quite some time and will continue to do so. It makes work and life easier - which isn't that the point of technology in the first place?

Pros

Where do I even begin? I've been a longtime user of gChat and am a huge fan. It has allowed me to keep in touch with friends and co-workers alike with ease. I'm in my inbox so much during the day that having a quick way to converse with someone is really meaningful. Whether I need an answer to a question or just want to say hi to someone, this tool allows me to do it all.

Cons

I'd love to see bot integration become a bit more simple for the non-developer types. I hate having to rely on other disciplines vs. being able to fix something myself. Maybe it is a better indicator that I need to learn - ha!

Google Hangouts is a complete tool that allows us to communicate easily with others. Moreover, it is free and offers us good quality for video and voice calls. Using Google Hangouts is easy and straightforward as it is easy to create groups or individual chats. Google Hangouts ensures a good security of the user's data because all data are protected. What I like the most about Google Hangouts is the possibility and ease of integration with other Google applications like Google Calendar, Google docs and Google Drive.

Cons

What I don't like about Google Hangouts is the impossibility to make a video call with a large group of people because the number of participants is limited. Also, using Google Hangouts for video calls requires a very fast connection for best performance.

I started using Chat because I work in a different room with my coworker and I basically too lazy to send them email to just letting know them that I want to have a lunch break or other small things. So I start using Google Chat my office Gsuite, and It's perfect. I can send them a quick message or just send them a link of a cute puppy. In conclusion, Google Chat help me to communicate with my coworker in a more efficient way.

Pros

It's just a simple old school messaging app, it doesn't take much effort to send someone a message, I can send them picture, link, and files integrated with Gmail. You don't need to get up from your desk and go to your coworker room located 50 meters away from your desk to ask them if they need a coffee or a cup of water.

Cons

Because like I said it's simple old school messaging app, I can't do many things besides sending a message. It doesn't have any delete message or forward message feature. The notification came way too late especially on desktop app

The cons of this is more and people are using it and not at the appropriate times like when driving or when suppose to be working and things aren't getting done that should be and that makes it difficult for employers to maintain good employees

Pros

Google Chat allows my team to communicate all day long and stay up to date with each other without having to interrupt each other at their desk. This increases productivity and efficiency by decreasing small talk about various topics that would come up. Also, the mobile app allows you to carry the conversation with you on the go. Chat is a daily product for our team.

Cons

The desktop notifications can be missed easily, and I would like for a better system to ensure I don't miss important conversations without having to constantly check.

Quite good. Used it out of necessity, but it worked so well we now use it out of choice.

Pros

Being part of the Google suite, Google Chat has really helped us during the pandemic. We've been able to schedule Google Meets on Google Calendar, and share them within Google Chat, keeping communication between the team in a single infrastructure. We started to embrace it more widely during the lock-downs, but enjoyed it so much that it still is being used despite our return to a close proximity office.

Cons

When users are logged in across multiple platforms, the away/online/offline status can get a bit confused.
