### "An Underrated Google Suite Feature"

Overall, Google Chat is easy to learn, has great features like file-sharing and GIFs, and lives on the screen I'm already using most (my Gmail).

Pros

Google Chat has quietly become one of the most useful tools in my day-to-day life. It fills the gap between formal emails and unnecessary phone calls perfectly. For quick professional discussions, clarifications, and team collaboration, it keeps communication moving all day. It doesn’t feel overly corporate. It’s just as useful for friendly banter with colleagues as it is for work conversations. Some of the best team culture happens in those small, casual interactions. I even use it to check in with my spouse throughout the day since it’s already open on my screen.

Cons

I wish more of my team used it! There's a lot of competition with other platforms like Slack or Microsoft teams. You need to know who's checking which messaging system to reach them quickest. It would also be useful if it was like back in the day when minimizing the conversation didn't make it go away completely. I miss when I had the tabs along the bottom of my screen. Not the end of the world, though.

Overall I'd say gchat is solid. With good integration with google meet and calendar, it is a solid choice for business customers.

Pros

Google chat is incredibly responsive and convenient. It is included in GSuite so relatively affordable compared to slack. The interface on the web is extremely polished and efficient. Learning curve is low, and feature is extensive. There are tons of integration that works with gmail and gcal.

Cons

I think the customer service of Google can be improved. It is hard to reach a human agent and often times tickets for bugs gets bounced to completely different departments. I also think the mobile app can be improved. The images are downsampled in such a fashion that it's barely readable.

It has been a game changer for work. It is easy to send messages back and forth with coworkers and helps keep us all on the same page. I love that it offers group chats too!

Pros

I like how easy it is to use. It's easy to communicate quickly with others. You can send links, invites, images, gifs and more which is great.

Cons

There is not a thing that I do not like about Google Chat due to its amazing ease of use. I have no complaints.

I use Google chat daily and have no issues with it. I wouldn’t personally choose it over Teams, but where clients use it, it causes no trouble and I enjoy working within it.

Pros

I work with organisations that make use of the Google Suite of tools, and therefore make use of google chat to work with them for instant messaging. Google Chat works great. It’s simple to use for messaging and video calls, provided a web based interface that’s useful when you’re not using the desktop or Mobile app, and functions flawlessly. It’s free, so value is exceptional. Notifications work well, document sharing works well, and whilst it wouldn’t be my first choice over MS Teams, it doesn’t come with any major issues or reasons not to use it.

Cons

Two things: 1) I dislike the “quote in new thread feature”. I see why others may find it useful, but it’s not for me. 2) in the full interface it feels clumsy when you want to start a new chat with a new person. Just GUI refinement required.

Pros

like Google Chat because it makes communication quick and simple. I can send messages, share files, and work with others in group chats It also connects with other Google tools which makes collaborating on projects easier

Cons

One thing I dislike about Google Chat is that it can send too many notifications and sometimes important messages are hard to find in busy group chats

I love it, it’s almost like another instant messaging app for me. I connect with my google contact effortlessly.

Pros

It was a nice feature when you’re actually using a computer. Now it’s a mobile app as well, so it makes the transition easy.

Cons

Sometimes the notifications are delayed, whereas on the laptop it’s almost instant. You have to have the actual app on your mobile devices for it now though.

Overall, I love using Google chat when I have my email open and I have to send a quick message to my clients and my managers. I can easily set up Google meet via Google chat as well and that’s what I love about it.

Pros

I can literally chat while having my Gmail open and I don’t have to switch to different softwares to talk to people. While other chat softwares may be considered as less professional, here I can talk to any member of the management and it still feels professional. Also, I can set my status to busy, available, I meeting etc to let others know whether I am available to chat/call or not.

Cons

There are less features and functionalities when I compare it to other available platforms available in the market.

Pros

It's very simple for the end user. It's an easy-to-use program. The interface is especially user-friendly. I recommend it.

Overall, Google Chat is great for the workplace. I use it daily and have messages with a few coworkers, or just messages with one coworker. I like that you can reference all of the past conversations, if needed and I really like that you can drag and drop documents directly in the chat. You can have different spaces for certain topics and always go back in to reference them. I also really like that there is a separate tab for each conversation that you can see all documents/pictures/etc shared with that person/group.

Pros

I use Google Chat daily. It's so nice to be able to reference any past conversations, able to send documents easily, and have group messages or just a message to one person.

Cons

There is nothing I don't like about Google Chat and I have been using it for over a year now. So far, no cons at all!

The easy quick access to chat with anyone that is your contacts. I also loved the ability to send GIFs. You can even name your group chats.

Cons

Google chat is used by very few people, making it easy to forget. it is not interesting to use it if you want to hold with many people at the same time. And, if you doant have a google account, you wont be able to use google chat, hence limiting it's sphere of operation

Cons

My overall experience with Google chat is unnerving and not a highly rated chat communication tool.

Pros

It is a challenge for me to identify some great qualities, while I used the Google chat platform. I can say that it is easily accessible linked with my 2 Gmail accounts, but it is not a popular communication platform among most employers in my opinion.

Cons

What I liked least about Google Chat is that it is not as professional as other communication platforms. I receive messages or have received unwanted messages in the past from fraudulent users. In my opinion it is a waste of space, and I need to delete it from my linked email accounts.
