If you don't, then I would consider other options like Slack. Pros You have all of the basic features you would expect: group chats, direct chats, file sharing, etc. The interface is pretty well laid out. My colleagues and I have been able to connect quickly without disturbing the learning environment by making phone calls. Having a chat through the software is much more convenient and less distracting to the students. Pros I like that this software is readily available right in my gmail account. It easy to use for communication purposes. Cons While it is pretty easy to use, I do find that make a group chat can be a little difficult at times. Pros It's an easy app to set up and use with other people who have Google / Gmail accounts. Free and not complicated to be able to use it. Cons Nothing really not to like, other than the fact that there are now many different video conferencing platforms and getting everyone to agree on one can be challenging. It works perfectly with other functions especially when we have google email we can see the chat right next to our emails. Cons Nothing I dislike about google chat. There is no need of a separate software on the laptop and the browser does everything. The sharing feature is excellent and the video and audio quality is also superb. We used to create Team chats when working for Google Nest Support so we could clear all Tier 1 agents' questions in real-time. Pros The best advantage is creating chat rooms for certain or all G-Suite users. It's easy to use and it does not have the same limits as Hangouts chat. Pros Google Drive is included and the email works amazing. G Suite is very easy to use and flexible and also the support by Google is very good.
