Really positive overall- it provides a simple chat tool all teams can use. It's intuitive, and comes at no additional cost to you if you already use gmail as a business.

Pros

Great value for money- it's already integrated in to Gmail so you don't need to spend any time integrating it or any additional funding to use it. It's also super-easy to use as a way to contact colleagues more quickly (alongside email) as it is all integrated in to the gmail workspace anyway. The layout is clean and simple so anyone could use it realistically. The newer AI features are good for recapping conversations quickly if you have a lot going on at a given time or for longer chats.

Cons

It doesn't really have much in the way of customisation, it works great as a simple tool but if you have aspirations to integrate it with other tech or set up custom workflows etc. You can also get lost in and amongst emails as it sits in gmail, in and amongst your emailing etc...

My overall experience with Google Chat has been very positive. I think it's a great method for employees to communicate with each other. It's already connected to your email so using the Google ecosystem would be beneficial, especially because it's free.

Pros

What I like the most about Google chat is the push notifications on my laptop and the fact that I can search my messages to find specific conversations I am looking for. I also like that it's a free service especially because it's so useful. I also like that big documents you send its in a separate Google Drive chat which makes it easy to find what you're looking for.

Cons

I don't really have anything I don't like about it. I haven't experienced any bugs or issues and there's not really a learning curve.

Overall, Google chat is very useful. Being able to access it directly alongside gmail is useful. I like the admin controls. The aesthetic design could be better and the threads are very confusing to use.

Pros

There’s good options for organizations to establish admins— who can and can’t message in the chat. It can be set up to save all conversations, which is very useful for organizations.

Cons

I dislike the double notifications from gmail and google chat. If you have a chat notification, it also shows up in the Gmail app. I like the website versions being merged but not the apps.

Overall, I had a positive experience using Google Chat. It was easy to navigate, made communicating with teammates efficient, and integrated seamlessly with other Google Workspace applications. While there were a few limitations with message organization and customization, it was still a reliable and effective tool for collaboration and day-to-day communication.

Pros

One thing I liked most about Google Chat was how easy it made communication with teammates. The interface is simple to use, conversations are organized, and it integrates well with other Google Workspace tools like Gmail and Google Drive. It made collaborating on projects and sharing information quick and efficient.

Cons

One thing I liked least about Google Chat was that some features felt limited compared to other messaging platforms. Organizing conversations and finding older messages could sometimes be less intuitive, and the notification settings were not always as customizable as I would have liked.

Google Chat has been a dependable tool for coordinating support activities, communicating incidents, and collaborating with internal teams. The learning curve is minimal, and the integration with Google Calendar helps with scheduling maintenance tasks and meetings. Overall, it provides good value for organizations already using Google Workspace, offering reliable communication with a clean and easy to use interface.

Pros

Google Chat is a simple and efficient tool for maintaining communication between technical teams. I like its seamless integration with Google Workspace, especially Gmail, Calendar, Drive, and Meet. It makes it easy to share troubleshooting updates, exchange files, coordinate schedules, and keep track of team discussions without switching between multiple applications.

Cons

Google Chat could improve its advanced customization and administration features. Managing a large number of conversations and finding older technical discussions can sometimes take extra effort. It also does not offer as many IT focused collaboration features as some dedicated enterprise communication platforms.

Google Chat has been a reliable tool for coordinating campaigns, sharing creative assets, and staying aligned with different teams. The learning curve is very low, and the seamless connection with Google Workspace saves time during everyday workflows. It provides good value for teams already using Google products, though more customization and advanced scheduling features would make it even stronger.

Pros

Google Chat makes team communication quick and organized, especially when working on marketing campaigns and daily tasks. The integration with Gmail, Google Calendar, Drive, and Meet is extremely useful for managing discussions, sharing files, and coordinating schedules. The simple interface makes it easy for both technical and non-technical team members to adopt.

Cons

While Google Chat covers basic communication needs well, it lacks some advanced collaboration features available in other workplace messaging tools. Customization options are limited, and managing notifications across multiple spaces can sometimes become difficult. The search experience for older conversations could also be improved.

My experience with Google Chat has been extremely positive. A bunch of my coworkers and I work from home and some work in the office. Google Chat provides a convenient way to communicate with colleagues, share files, and collaborate on projects in real time. The integration with other Google Workspace applications helps streamline workflows and keeps conversations organized. To me, it has been the most effective and reliable communication tool!

Pros

I love that Google Chat is simple, reliable, and integrates well with the rest of Google Workspace. It makes communication and collaboration easy while keeping conversations organized. It makes team communication efficient by keeping messages, files, and tasks organized in one place. I also appreciate the ability to create dedicated spaces for projects and collaborate in real time.

Cons

The least thing I like about Goolge Chat is that the chat history disappears if you close out of your windows after 24 hours. But I just never close my windows to avoid that. I truly love using Google Chat. It makes working from home really easy. There's truthfully nothing I don't dislike about it.
