QuasarDB Reviews
"A Must have"
Pros: QuasarDB is a clear innovation. QuasarDB enables you to store massive amount of data without sacrificing on query speed. The level of performances that one can leverage is clearly at least one order of magnitude over a lot of competitors. From the large selection of platforms and languages to high-performance compression features, it really simplifies the management of large scale databases. A must-have if performances on your whole stack is a required.
Cons: No major roadblocks even if in some places the query error messages are sometimes unclear
Vendor Response
"Great analytical database "
Overall: Using QuasarDB allows us to ingest large volumes of data and query it in real time.
Pros: It is very fast at statistical analysis: our dataset contains lots of numbers, and it appears to be one of the faster databases out there. It has no problems ingesting large volumes of data (millions of transactions per secs), and the data is immediately available (no buffering), which means our customers can query high volume data in realtime.
Cons: The usability seems to be a bit sub-par. It appears to be improving every release, but sometimes you still have to decipher cryptic error messages.
Vendor Response
"Great progress of a nice startup"
Overall: Good financial market place platform.
Pros: The software development team, really go deep on optimization and software quality, exploiting the best of Intel CPU. Very very few software platform are going that way, which explain the performance of the platform.
Cons: no major roadblock... user interface can always be improved.

Overall: With Quasard we address a Smart City workflow.
Pros: Fast and reliable Time Series Fatabase at scale is key for many workloads. Quasardb is doing just this. During my technical interactions with their team ideas impressed by the skill from high level programming to low level kernel discussion. To me they have successfully implemented a compelling vision.
Cons: The database is quite often only a piece of the ecosystem.
