I am on my 30th year using ACT. ACT has been very important to the success of the business I started with Act in 1995.

Pros

Act is easily customizable. It holds efficiently all the customer information necessary. Offers quick look ups.

Cons

Act does not work well with the new version of MS Outlook. The ACT phone app still needs work, though it is a major improvement from previous versions.

I am using it daily and it makes me more productive - i know who to call, when to call, what i want to talk about etc

Pros

This is a great tool for keeping my contacts organized, tracking my projects and helping me with marketing. I have used ACT! for years then took a year long hiatus and have come back to the product as nothing else measures up! Thanks you ACT!

it takes time filling everything in especially the opportunities but once in its effective at keeping track

Not the best but it wasn't the worst. I wouldn't recommend as we have switched CRM's recently and happy with the switch.

Pros

Not a bad CRM system, reliable and was being used by my company for over a decade. Stored lots of data.

Cons

Slow operating and outdated, needs to be updated to join the 21st century. Very clunky at times and would freeze up.

WOW! I go back 20 plus years - all the way back to ACT 6.0 Desktop. I have used many other CRM but always come back to ACT. It is such a great CRM - especially for databases that you want to tag for different industry sectors, mailing lists. etc.

Pros

The User Interface is clean and to the point. Nice formatting and easy to understand the tabs. A super big plus.

Cons

It seems to log me out on a regular basis. I would like it to stay open longer if possible. It would also be great to get more tutorials.

I have had a great overall experience with ACT! I have been a client for over 20 years now and have seen a lot of evolution within the programming. I wouldn't want to use any other program.

Pros

I like the automatic saving feature best. Being able to work in real time and share with others in the office is a big plus. ALSO LOVE that when I do have an issue, I can call in and get a real English speaking person.

Cons

Not being able to text without an additional cost. Sometimes the system will freeze up and we need to close out and try again.

Cons

ike many powerful systems, ACT! can feel complex at first, especially for new users. However, with proper guidance and support, this learning curve becomes manageable and ultimately worthwhile.

Our company has used ACT for decades, and we are transitioning to cloud and marketing services to ACT.

Pros

Tech support is top notch. Email marketing services has multiple options for campaigns, with templates, drag and drop, and WYSIWYG editor available. It is also easy to add new fields.

Cons

By tying our database to online forms, we increase the risk of bad info overwriting good data. We have to adjust our fields and online forms so that we are not overwriting necessary info.

### "Great support and easy to use"

I have used ACT for over 10+ years and the upgrade is a huge difference from the old 16 version. More modern and very similar to the old.

Pros

Customer support is very friendly and knowledgeable. The calendar features on ACT help me remember to follow up with customers. Very easy to use and navigate.

Cons

Sometime glitches when going back and forth between the calendar feature. It gives an error prompt and to shut the application down.

### "Decades long user"

As I stated above, I began using Act when it was on a 3.5" floppy. I have no major gripes. Well, other than increasing cost of subscription.

Pros

I have been using Act for over 20 years. It has changed in its exterior offerings but the core has stayed the same. I am in construction equipment sales. I may only speak or need contact with my clients within the first year. BUT by my using History and Notes diligently, I look like I have a memory. I use the peripheral feature occasionally but not exclusively. I love the linkage of sent/received emails into History. Makes my life easier.

Cons

I really do not have any major gripes. I just do not worry on the bloat as long as it does not impact my core usage. I do not like the trend for cloud based software. I want my systems on my tower or laptop. I quite often go places where there is no cell nor internet service. Cloud is useless at that point.

Great, go to over the years. Have used Act to keep up with vendors and customers, and the history is invaluable.

Pros

Been has been using Act for 20+ years; easy to use and dependable. The e-marketing is simple. Good reporting

Cons

Lack of a strong online product. The syncing is slow. The desktop version is a very old format and data can be old.

I have been using it for years and find it an indispensable tool for sales. I have used other sales CRMs such as SAP and PRONTO and find ACT far superior.

Pros

ACT is very easy to learn and use. It is a reliable and stable platform. It is the first program that I open everyday.

Cons

My understanding it is not meant for storing videos and photos. If I am not correct, please enlighten me.

Good support and Technical Service department has been supportive, professional, and timely. Great experience so far.

Pros

Full data management / CRM making it easy to systematically process the collection, storing, updating and utilizing information about contacts to build and maintain relationships, streamline business operations, and improve customer service.

Cons

Cloud software is a bit different from pass versions - having to relearn some steps. Familiarity by using should eventually eliminate this.

Been very good, I highly recommend ACT as a database. Not sure how I would keep up with all the sales calls I make without ACT

Pros

I have been using ACT since version 1.0 It's easy to use, very intuitive. It would be very hard to run my business without it.

Cons

The cost. In the olden days I would purchase a new version of ACT and use it for several years. Now, we are required to purchase ACT every year even though I don't use any of the new features.

I have used Act since 2000 and it was a better program prior to them requiring a yearly fee of $600. It should still be an option if you want to upgrade every year and not have to pay $600.

Pros

The ability to keep all my data in one place. Being able to email and schedule activities to stay in touch with clients

Cons

The issues with time it takes screen to change when completing activities. 20 to 30 seconds when you do 100 plus activities per day is a waste of time when I could be making sales calls.

Pros

Good tool to keep track of your clients and activities. I use it for quotes, orders and marketing activities.

Cons

Occasionally freezing, requiring a restart. Sometimes the features don't work properly requiring a restart.

Love this App. Very easy to use once you have understand how to proceed. It is sensibly organized and fairly intuitive.

Pros

Best contact manager I have ever used. Mostly intuitive and very easy to add data. It is almost fun too enter all contact info.

Cons

Some sub menus are hard to navigate; especially the notes and the history tabs. Once you understand how to negotiate the tabs it is okay.

This is a detailed program that has proven to be useful to our company. I have been able to eliminate other programs and wasteful spending.

Pros

The amount of customization and details you can add to an email makes our emails unique. Not one detail and customization gets overlooked.

Cons

At times, it can be complicated and takes a lot of training to learn. Customer Service can be hard to understand at times.

I have been a very long time user, and ACT!s customer support has always been top notch. There is rarely a problem, but when is, they are there for me.

Pros

Customer support is great. ACT! is the most versatile and deep CRM out there. It is so powerful so much more cost effective than it's big competitor. I need to use my CRM even when I do not have acces to internet, and ACT is the only company I know of that offers a fully functional hybrid.

Cons

that they fail to get the word out how great a program it is - most people I talk to have never heard of ACT.

Overall a good system. Great improvement over the old version. I wish I was able to customize the KPI's.

Pros

ACT includes project management and newsletter tools to integrate our data in one place. Customer support is excellent

Cons

The cloud version is glitchy. It not always accessible and sometimes locks us out for no reason so needs a customer service call.

### "ACT is good product for small business needing CRM for remarketing"

I like the product using it for 6 years. Recently switched to cloud version and it's been good so far, but hoping to get more out of it than we have been in recent years.

Pros

Ease of use, basic functions easy to onboard with the sales team. Best way for me to track lead funnel.

Cons

Hard to set up, still not fully functioning like it should. Hoping to have things resolved with support soon.

very positive - always respond quickly. I was super impressed at the latest roll out and that they changed it back to easier use.

Pros

There are continual updates and they are very receptive to concerns. Immediately responding to changes that didn't work.

Cons

Sometimes the features are confusing - lots to figure out and learn. Sometimes more than we need in our business.
