### "One Too Many Updates"

I spent the first 15 years on Act recommending to everyone who asked about my contact management. After the past 6 months I would not recommend to anyone.

Pros

I used to like how well it integrated with Outlook, easy to use layout and dependability. Tech support was always there to make sure things work.

Cons

Since the last update I have had one problem after another. I had to resort to the cloud version because "it works more seamlessly with Outlook," but I have found nothing like that to be true. It has been one problem after another including an update that changed all the search functions without getting so much as an email warning.

Reason for choosing Act!

Its been 15 years. I considered most of the leading contact management and recruiting products.

Pros

Not only is the product great but support people such as Priyadharshini.C is super. Don't lose her she is the best!

Cons

What not to like its a wonderful product I have owned mines since 2006. Always have you conversations and contacts at your finger tips.

My overall experience wit ACT! has been very positive. I was relying on notebooks to plan my days and organize my business, this is so much more efficient and productive.

Pros

ACT! has 100% helped me organize my business. From being able to Group my contacts, to scheduling emails, and so much more. I learn more every day about using ACT! that helps my business.

Cons

One of the things I like least was the amount of time it took me to enter allmy contacts, but that's on me. The Onboarding Call where everything was explained should be longer and allow for me time to answer questions.

Pros

I've used Act! for 30 years. It has been an integral part of my business and has been an important factor in our success.

Cons

There are so many tools that it's hard to keep track. I'm sure I'm not taking full advantage of all the application.

Very good support today. The CRM itself is very good but the Outlook integration was a bit tricky, however it was not helped by a former employee sabotaging the system

Pros

Customer support was excellent today. \[sensitive content hidden\] did a excellent job and was very thorough, guiding me through all of the processes involved.

It was a bit tricky getting the right help. Integration with Outlook was difficult to set up, but I had the right help today

Customer Support. If it wasnt for the phone support, I would not be able to keep usign it. Good for keeping track of custoemrs

Cons

It seems a bit finicky and difficult to run. Crashes my outlook and often loses setting with Google Integration.

Not being able to clear past due items in bulk rather than individually. Changing the text size is a bit cumbersome.

### "Good for looking up contacts"

It can be a bit frustrating when things do not work well. For example, when using a mail merge, the formatting can be strange.

Pros

What I like is that I can easily look up a contact's information. When searching and unsure of all informations, I can sort groups and find what I am looking for with only a few clues.

Cons

The way the group emails feature works is less than idea. I would like to be able to review and edit prior to sending in a mail merge setting.

So far, it's great. This new form of note taking tool has helped to keep me on track with all of my customers.

Pros

How simple it is for note taking and contact information as well as setting up meetings. Using this program has worked out everywhere I have traveled. The cloud is a great tool.

Cons

Nothing at this time. It's hard to say, I am so new to this program that I have not found anything that I would change at this time.

### "Introduction to the new ACT software"

Good! I still getting comfortable with all the user fields. I will soon attempt to schedule another onboarding appointment.

Pros

Notes, Alerts, Appointments. I love the follow-up and T Do list. It helps to keep up with sales and closing business pursuits.

Cons

The manual Data Input was very time-consuming. But the result is well worth it. I used ACT as a contact manager in the mid-90s.

I thought my overall experience was excellent. Once the rep figured out the problem he was done in no time at all!

Pros

The Rep was very knowledgeable, courteous, and knew what he was doing to get the matter handled quickly.

Cons

I would just say the wait times can be time consuming but no other cons. When I hung up and called back I received a warm transfer.

Excellent. Teh product performs as advertised and does what I need it to do. Support has been good to get me started.

Pros

Easy to set up. My corporate experience was with SalesForce which is a good product if you have an IT department to operate it. I set up ACT myself and was up and running in minutes. Support is excellent. My account rep spent time with me setting up things and a marketing rep helped me set up the email module. ACT has everthing I need for a one person consulting practice at a good value.

Cons

I have not found anything I did not like yet. I am still learning about all the features so I will likely find something.

### "General use and basic CRM could use advances"

Pros

Works for general contact management and newsletter delivery for our company. The overall configuration is easy to maintain but customization can be difficult.

Cons

The interface is dated and the integration with other systems is limited. Mobile access is under developed and the overall system is a bit dated and struggling to keep up with other robust CRM tools available.

I have used Act for many years and have built up a large data base. Excellent support service when I have had software issues.

Pros

The product provides an excellent way to maintain a list of contacts. Can print lists, labels and more

Cons

Act is a rather costly program. Some of the advanced options are not necessary for all users. Learning curve and be long.

Very positive! I find it very easy to schedule activities and maintain contact with the important people in my life!

Pros

I use Act to manage a wide range of activities, including phone calls, meetings, administrative tasks and personal tasks. My life would be more difficult without this program!

Cons

Because it's so easy to schedule activities, I find myself scheduling more things than I have time to get done. But that's my problem.

My experience with Act! has been good so far. I've entered in about 500 contacts so far and I love how easy it is to do all of that!

Pros

It's a good use for campaigning and being able to have everyone's information in one place. It's easy to search and look exactly what you're looking for.

Cons

Some things feel a little outdated but not all. There're some things that definitely be changed, but not too worried about it. Overall good web to use.

### "OK product "

Since I started with version 1.0 I've seen it ebb and flow. Through so many ownership changes each promising to do wonderful things but none actually improving the basic functions of keeping information easily. Trying to compete with full blown CRM's seems like a mistake.

Pros

I have been using it since version 1.0! I'm so invested I have to stick with it. It works but I use very few functions other than a contact database. For that it's fine.

Cons

The basic functions could have been improved instead of the emphasis on marketing etc.

ACT! just works. Everyday when I am processing donations I just pull up the records I need and write my thank you letters using my monthly templates.

Pros

Act! is a fantastic contact management program! We've been using it for years. It is easy to set up and very intuitive. It's many features make relationship management easy.

Cons

I did have to get customer support a couple of times when I transferred my license to my new PC. Act! made it easy though.

We have had some rough times with issues using the platform but since they applied some updates, seems to be working better.

Pros

The people are great help when having issues with the platform. The updates have been completed helped with using the platform more efficiently.

Cons

Some notes are missing every so often. Not sure why. But I did bring it to our account manager's attention.

We have incorporated Act! into our office and it has been vital software for our customer relations department for over 25 years.

Pros

Act! allows the entry of up to date notes and a quick way to review the history of a contact. I have also been able to customize the data fields to suit my company's needs.

Cons

I have found a work-around to enable the dialer to work with an external USB modem but it is not straight forward.

Very smooth, excellent integration with outlook calendar and enhanced support with the outlook mail reader simplifying adding new contacts.

Pros

Additional features that support my marketing efforts and the improved Outlook integration are real time savers.

Cons

Advanced query look-up is cumbersome and does not work as well as it did in prior versions, in fact I can't get it to wok at all.
