Pros

The system does mailings, adding companies and groups together so that you can create different departments

Cons

We are a recruitment company and had problems merging all the cycles together such as interviews tagged with companies etc..

Pros

It stores your info so it's easily accessed. You can look up clients by company, name, city, etc. You can form different groups of people so you can find who you need in a snap. I used to like it quite a bit as it always started up easily and was easy to use. Now it's a huge ugly deal.

Cons

I've had trouble with this product since installing Windows 10. I've talked to a number of different techs, who all promise they have fixed my issue, but when i try it out the next day, the issue still is there! I don't know what they are or are not doing, but now my "free" tech support is done and I can't contact them. I feel ripped off.

The software is easy to use. The software helps in organization of all my contacts for the association I work for. Being able to email clients from the software, good interface with outlook .

Cons

There is nothing that i do not like about Act!.

In my 30+ years in Marketing and Sales, I have used Zoho, Sales Force et.....and I always go back to my ACT. It helps me stay organized, informed and meet my deadlines. The tech team is the best with my ACT Premium 18.2 version support, always have solved my problems in a short amount of time. Thank You

Cons

You can not duplicate information without making a small change even though sometimes customers may have multiple units.

It was okay for what it was but now there are more robust options available.

Pros

We used Act! for years before getting Salesforce. Unfortunately, it was just so outdated and we needed something more current.

Cons

The nice thing about act was that it was easy to make reports and easy to update the data. Aside from that, there wasn’t much we could do. It was too outdated compared to more current crm systems.

Moved from desktop version to online, very happy with them having same interface as desktop version

Pros

Very user friendly, everything is on one window and even new user can understand mostly everything, recommend

Cons

Quite expensive if you use desktop version as it is assigned price per user, therefore can be very expensive for larger entities compared to other products

Pros

When it was Sage that produced it, the software and support were excellent.

Cons

Since being taken over by Swiftpage, it has lost its credibility and support of small businesses due to its inability to integrate with existing Sage accounting software. The old version gave you the facility of salespeople being able to instantly link to a client's financial status. In the new version, it requires programming with an add-on module (not cheap) to integrate with the higher version of Sage Line50 accounting software but offers no integration with the small business favorite software of Sage Instant Accounts.

I started with Act! Version 6. The year 2000. I was a computer administrator for a college. And load it to our supervisor PC and had to give instructions on. I have used it ever since also. Had to up grade three years ago to the current Version. More to install now. Doing ok.

Used this for roughly a year and there is a ton you can do with it. There are several marketing templates that can be used and modified that I really liked.

Cons

It’s very overwhelming when you first get into it. Because there are so any features it was difficult to get started and really do what I wanted to do. I kept getting side tracked by all the other features.

I am another ACT! user from its earliest days. I have done a great deal of research in the last few years on problems with the program since it was purchased by Sage. Way too much to share here, but believe me when I say there is a tremendous amount of angst out there from Sage ACT users. The program itself is still a good one, but if you experience a problem, you are unlikely to have it resolved. Technical support under Sage is universally despised. I have never, and I mean never, communicated with a Sage ACT technical support person who knew the product and who could provide help. The ACT Consultant community is there in the Sage ACT forums to offer help, but they rarely can resolve technical issues. They won't come out and say it, but they know Sage ACT support is terrible and the product itself has become more and more of a problem under the Sage ownership. The consultants put the best spin on ACT! they can, which is expected. Summary: ACT! is still basically a good product, but don't expect technical support at all and for goodness sake don't pay for upgrades, which are also universally seen as a waste of money, as improvements are invisible. Sage is destroying the product and should sell it to a company that really wants to keep it a dynamic product. Sage has recently labeled ACT! as a "non-core" product in its software lineup. Good luck.

I used the program for over 2 years. After 3 months of use you should be pretty fluent with all the features for your department.

Pros

Full customization, works well across company departments, can keep dated log of all actions and customer transactions, each note or transaction references the person who made the note or completed the transaction so you can contact them with further questions.

Cons

It was difficult in the beginning to just make a quick note. You had to go a round-about way in the action section. It took the ACT representative months to get the features adjusted to the multiple departments we had.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. IT WILL ADD TO YOUR WORKLOAD NOT REDUCE IT.

Pros

There are some functions that are useful but like any software you only end up using a small percentage of the capabilities.

Cons

It simply doesn't work will with MS Outlook and customer support is HORRIBLE. I'm writing this review as I wait for support. I've now been waiting 31 minutes.
