I really appreciate the client service and the updates they push out regularly. The tax planning software that can also be purchased is very useful. Cons I think there are unnecessary features in the admin settings. I think some of them seem redundant and setting up/training to be an admin of the software is excessive for what’s actually needed. There are alot of things that were really good about the system. Alot of things that need improvement. Overall it comes down to how it affects our profitability. Pros I like that the system is an all in one cloud based management platform. It is nice to have everything in once place with one login. Cons The cost for us is a big issue. With the rising cost of software, we have to look at different ways to keep expenses down in order to pass those savings to our clients. It is an all in one system, but there are pieces of the system that take a while to learn and understand. Pros CCH is an all in one system that makes it easy to, essentially, do everything in one location. You can prepare a tax return, follow a project for the return, bill a client, pull reports, store files (and more) all in one location. There is also an easy to use document upload location for clients. Overall, the system works as advertised. Cons It is a very slow system and there is a big learning curve when first learning it. I felt that some things were more difficult to understand, such as building reports, and could be simplified for ease of use. It was new software for us, and while there was a bit of a learning curve, it wasn't too hard to catch on. One feature that became one of my favorites was the recalculation. It made it easy to see how what you did affected the return. Pros The best part for me for CCH ProSystem fx was the ability to open more than one tax return at a time. Cons Customer support wasn't always the most helpful when trying to resolve issues or find inputs for certain information. I been a cistomer for over 7 years. TIme to find a more comprehensive software. Pros I di dnot like the software. The support was ok, but as a new user the system required so may marks to be made to send my CT PET form. This software with the changes of the CT software made life horrible. I need to find a new company that has more user friendly software. Cons The system is not user friendly and requires so much user intervention to get a return filed. Support ok. Pros The best part of this software is workflows management and accounts production. very detailed and up to date with FRS 102 requirements. Cons I am using the CCH pro from last 2.5 years and have not found any issues in it except tax return some time got currupted at draft stage.
