### "1Password is the best"

April 10, 2022

5.0

This is a great way to share passwords with my wife and I have a lot of confidence that my passwords are safe in 1Password.

Pros

It is the best user experience for managing passwords.

Cons

I have over 1,200 items and the menu bar icon is a little slow to open sometimes on my M1 MacBook Pro. I just installed 7.9.3 and it is opening much more quickly now.

### "Long time user and I swear by it!"

July 8, 2020

5.0

Overall experience with 1Password has been excellent. The developer communicates well and the support team have always been polite and prompt with replies.

Pros

Fantastic integration on macOS, iOS, Windows and beyond in my uses. Allows me to effortlessly use different passwords for everything, and also handles one time codes with great ease, copying them into clipboard and then restoring the old clipboard contents 30 seconds later! Watchtower is great too as it keeps an eye on if my password has been compromised, which now even notifies me with a notification. Highly recommended. Much better than keeping all my passwords in an encrypted word document or note!

Cons

The new subscription model isn't as great. I preferred the older model of purchasing the software and paying for the upgrade when the time was right.

### "State of the art password management"

August 23, 2023

4.0

Overall I would definitely recommend 1Password to anybody looking for a robust, reliable and well crafted solution for password management. I've been using it for many years and am really satisfied with it.

Pros

1Password makes it super easy to use secure passwords as well as all available security features offered by you online accounts providers across all your devices, all that delivered through a well crafted and consisted experience.

Cons

It would be great if we could still have the option of storing the vault locally and synchronize it with our preferred service (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc).

Pros

It has all the features you need in a password manager. They recently introduced SSO as well :)

### "Security First"

April 6, 2024

5.0

The most significant value, in my opinion, is the compatibility across all devices.

Pros

It's secure, worth the price, and easy to use.

Cons

It requires my typed-out password every two weeks (not facial or touch ID), but it shows great security practices.

### "First password generator and vault experience- a little confusing, but overall very solid"

December 25, 2021

4.0

Overall, I appreciate its intention and I think it does the job very well, but my one negative experience has colored my view on using the platform. I do think it's a bit confusing to see how my passwords are kept, so I think user interface can be more simplified. But again, overall I appreciate the level of protection it gives me.

Pros

I like the helpful popups in Google Chrome when it suggests a new, secure password for me when I create a new account on a platform, and I definitely appreciate it stored all in one platform securely.

Cons

I had one experience where I was logged out, and the master password was lost. So that was an issue I had with 1Password that really was frustrating. Also, sometimes the single sign on touch won't work, and I have to manually enter the master password, which is a bit of a small hassle when it (occassionally) happens.

### "The Best Password Keeper Out There"

September 18, 2019

5.0

Aside from a couple of design flaws, I think the app is incredible. It has saved my brain more times than I can count and has done so in a way that keeps my information secure.

Pros

I absolutely love the compatibility this program has with my browser and the websites I visit regularly, while still keeping my information safe. I have confidently used this program for years with no security breaches. It's safe. Also, there's no way I could remember as many passwords as I have without it. This program is a lifesaver fo anyone who needs to use technology on a frequent basis.

Cons

I think it could probably just have a little tweaking done to make it a little more atheistically pleasing. Also, sometimes when I click on the website for the password I'm trying to get, it boots me out and makes me go in again.

### "Amazing Experience"

November 6, 2022

5.0

The whole thing is amazing when it comes to using 1Passwordwith all the available features, I'm using a lot of things because of my job duties, I deal with a punch of system tools and it is not easy for me to remember all the credentials, but with 1Password is way easy, also the synchronization makes it very easy to work on any device.

Pros

It is the easiest way to save or update passwords for websites and cookies and all saved data becomes secure in one place, also this data will be retrieved automatically for use once I requested it.

Cons

Sometimes, especially when using low internet speed connections the workflow takes so much time to load, I recommend creating a special build "lowered version" for such internet speed.

### "Best password manager which every person should use"

April 9, 2023

5.0

Pros

1Password is the best password manager. This is the only password manager which have all the features that password should have. Best part of it is, it saves login with google or GitHub etc. So next time when I open the site It says that you logged in with google. It also supports SSH keys so for GitHub ssh to push the code or commit, 1Password ask for fingerprint in my mac. I love this :)

Cons

Actually 1Password provided everything to me that I needed but for 1Password does not have free pricing section. It has free tier but limited to something 10 or 12 days.

### "Longtime 1Password User with no regrets"

June 10, 2018

5.0

Great design, incredibly cross platform functionality, and longevity are all things i associate with 1Password. Also, compared with other password managers, 1Password just looks better. It really does. The logo is great. Nice!

Pros

When I bought 1Password, I paid upfront. (They have since moved to a subscription style service) I got exactly what I wanted: an attractive, easy to use, and cross-platform password manager. It works with all of my devices, my browsers, and my computers. The newer versions, which I have admittedly not tried due to my desire to not spend money on things, have more password protection features. Frequently featured as one of Apple's Editor's Picks, it is a great app to have, but more importantly, an important app to have.

Cons

The subscription style service is disgusting.

### "1Password is a must have in today's account management world"

January 19, 2022

5.0

Overall, 1Password is a necessary tool for everyday business and personal account management!

Pros

1Password simplifies my daily life of constantly navigating and changing passwords.

Cons

I least like how it does not regularly prompt or change the passwords for each of your sites based on how the account it is set up. I wish that process was more automated.

### "Seriously, don't look any further than this App"

April 21, 2019

5.0

I use 1Password on a daily basis and cannot be anymore positive with it. It makes navigating my online accounts easy and secure because you don't share the same password across all accounts. It's auto-fill feature is super reliable and fast.

Pros

\-ENCRYPTION ENCRYPTION ENCRYPTION -Synchronisation between all of your devices. -Seamless integration with iOS and 3rd Party apps. -Great Password Generator -Integration with haveibeenpwned.com -Easy to use -Great Organization system That may just look like a feature list, but every single point there is a huge benefit. This is a bit dark, but hear me out... Not many people consider what happens to their accounts/passwords after they pass away. Many families struggle to gather the pieces of information afterwards. If there is information online and they don't have access to the passwords they're in big trouble. With 1Password you can keep ALL of your passwords safe, secure, and private. Plus you can include your Master Password or Print a document of all your passwords and include it in your will-sealed and safe.

Cons

Although not expensive. The monthly subscription adds up over time and alongside all the other subscriptions we have.

### "Best password manager, period!"

December 15, 2022

5.0

Pros

I like that it's integrated with all my devices. By "integrated", I mean that every time there's a password field to fill, 1Password will automatically trigger and prompt which account to use (I have multiple), even on my Android phone. I find this amazing. When I hear people's (negative) experience with competitors' solutions, I'm always recommending them to use 1Password instead :)

Cons

I've been a user for many years now, and the software is continuously improving, so I can't think of anything that is negative about 1Password!

### "1Password Review "

I can’t remember all my passwords most of the so I was able to put all my passwords in it and didn’t have to put my passwords in to sign into my accounts.

Pros

It was easy to set and and start using. And it didn’t cost anything , and I love how I can put all my passwords into one app so i don’t forget them.

Cons

I’m not sure if there is anything I didn’t like about it cause it worked just fine for me.

### "Perfect password manager "

August 28, 2020

5.0

I wouldn’t know how to organise my personal and professional life without a password manager, and with the option to add business or family accounts, it really is a no-brainer. That it works across platforms is just the icing on the cake

Pros

As a long-term Private user, I have primarily used 1Password as my own personal password manager, but is som much more. It is a random password generator, a second device for 2FA, a store box for secure notes and now also a repository for passwords that need to be shared across an organisation

Cons

While 1Password is feature-rich and easy to use, it does take some getting used to, especially once you start to have several shared accounts. It can also become messy if you combine it with passwords stored in your Google account or your Apple keychain

### "Never get locked out"

March 28, 2023

5.0

I have one good strong password that I've used for years but the sites that require uppercase letters and symbols mess that up. It's a monumental pain in the grass..Im glad I don't have to spend half the day scratching my head and digging through notes anymore.

Pros

1Password is different because it works on pretty much everything. Every device and every type of account. There are free password savers but the ones I've used don't go that far. For example one is limited to passwords filled while using a specific browser. 1Password helps me out with security in general and it has a password generator.

Cons

Paying for it isn't a pro but it is worth it.When I tried to import data from my old password saver I ran into problems and just started from scratch.

### "The best password handling solution for all your devices: simple, secure and well integrated"

August 2, 2018

5.0

Seamless integration in all my devices, complete control of the information stored, transparent password handling. It is a very recommended software for anyone, especially power users such as businesses.

Pros

The first thing you need in this kind of software is a company you can trust and apps that feel secure : 1Password is basically that. It has an intuitive interface that anyone can use, it is beautiful and well integrated, and by far surpasses the "keychain access" and other built in apps by giving you control of what it stores and synchronizes, and how. I knew of this software because it was featured in one of Apple keynotes some years ago, and you know that when Apple promotes a software (especially one related to security of data) this means business.

Cons

I bought 1password for iPhone and iPad with the old pricing model: buy once and use it forever (I think it was an in-app purchase). I never bought the Mac version because I thought of it as being expensive and the integrated environment for Safari in MacOS didn't justify the price, as I always have my phone with me. Now that the pricing scheme has changed it makes much more sense to have the Desktop version as well, especially if you are a family or a business. There are pros and cons to the pricing scheme but for some power users (again business and families) it's worth the money.

### "Best password manager for average users"

April 29, 2021

5.0

Having started with Lastpass, then transferred to Dashlane, I landed on 1Password a couple of years ago and have not looked back. It makes it easy to create robust, unique, and secure login credentials for all of my online resources, and keeps me up to date when those credentials are included in the increasingly common data breaches that are turning up due to companies' substandard data protection practices. In short, LOVE IT!

Pros

Unless you are HYPER concerned about security and want to maintain your own password database(s), 1Password is the most secure, robust, and easiest to use of the products I have tried, including lastpass and dashlane, its two most prominent competitors.

Cons

I have absolutely NO complaints about my experience with 1Password. As far as I can tell, it just works.

### "The best premium password manager out there"

February 21, 2022

5.0

Pros

1Password to me is the best password manager as it consistently updates and stays up-to-date with the evolving password management sector of the tech industry. From multi-step authentication to constantly refreshing password codes that change every 1-2 minutes, I've found 1Password to be extremely reliable to keep me safe and also stay up to date with internet security of my unique passwords for endless websites that require a unique password for each site without compromising my internet security.

Cons

The annual subscription price is expensive at $120 per year. It would be great if long-time subscribers like myself are rewarded with discounts the longer we stay with this SaaS product.

### "Simple to use - with all the features I need"

May 5, 2017

5.0

Pros

Automated workflow - create and save new passwords, fill in login forms Synced through Dropbox on desktop and smartphone Multi "vaults" for a mixed professional and private use Manages several logins for the same site or service Integrated with the fingerprint scanner on IOS and the new macs Available more and more for mobile logins, avoiding the annoying cut and paste Customisable. For example, by default it submits the form, but, you can choose to just fill it out. This avoids problems with forms with a Captcha where you have to check a box before submitting the form.

Cons

I now have hundreds of passwords and it's getting a bit messy. I would have to go through all of them to tag or sort them. It could be simpler.

### "Extremely good password management application"

November 7, 2019

5.0

I have 100's of logins on many websites and tools. This allows me to have unique passwords on every site and keep myself safe.

Pros

The ability to have different password databases and have some shared with other members of the team is very useful. Analysis of weak, expired, compromised, reused, expiring passwords is very valuable. The ability to use this application across platforms is unparalleled. Automatic option to fill-in web-site forms is very useful.

Cons

Sometimes the web page fill-in fails because the web site has some inconsistencies on the web page itself. While not an error of the 1Password application itself, it would be nice to have an instant feedback form to report sites with an issue. This would allow the developer to perhaps imporove the response for future visitors.

Reason for choosing 1Password

I feel the professional active support of the 1Password product is superior to waiting on an open source team. They are motivated to keep their product updated in order to attract customers and maintain their personal image. Keychain is not cross-platform and does not have many of the features of 1Password.

### "Indispensable Security Tool"

August 19, 2023

5.0

1Password is a great tool to generate, store, share, or protect passwords for various sites. It keeps passwords and credit card details safe and secure and auto-fills them to the relevant sites when necessary. My experience with 1Password has been positive. It works for computers and mobile devices.

Pros

I like 1Password because of its secure vault that protects personal notes, unique passwords, and credit card details. It has a master password to protect sensitive details from spying eyes. You can setup the 2step authentication option for enhanced security. I also like that 1Password generates unique passwords and has an auto fill feature. You can securely share sensitive details with friends and family.

Cons

I dont like that it is subscription based. Although the cost is not too high, it means you lose all the benefits when you don't pay the subscription. I am also concerned if hackers can actually access the vault and steal all my passwords. I've not had any issues for the five months I have used it

### "Don't Underestimate the Time You'll Save"

August 3, 2019

5.0

In my daily work I often need to try out other software in development from different user perspectives and 1Password has made switching between users and pws a breeze.

Pros

Having one master password to unlock all other passwords is great. I've been impressed with upgrades to the software as well as the add-ons/extensions for Safari and Chrome.

Cons

One of the only frustrating things I encounter is that I get confused between desktop working with Chrome vs. the browser extension. It used to be I could hit command backslash to populate fields, enabling me to work without having to use the mouse. I've not put the time in but I haven't found that feature in the latest extension; I now need to click on the 1pw logo in the u/p fields to enable the login credentials.
