It's a nice clean way to do it. You can add credit cards to the software, securely. There's secure notes setting which I use to keep personal information, and basically a back up virtual wallet so I have my information on hand even if I do lose my wallet. Pros \-Makes passwords for me, adjustable difficulty, and can pick what characters/symbols etc to appear in password -Very secure, unlike browser password managers Cons \-It's a bit of high price, so when recommending it to others I often get turned down because the price point seems high if you've never experienced how awesome a password manager is. Pros Thoughtful interface, easy to use, with lots of great features. The one-time password feature works seamlessly, across multiple platforms. I love how 1Password can also be used for other important documents and info, like credit cards, SSNs, and so on. Cons 1Password's "emergency kit" feels less convenient than some of its competitors. Pros Very well implemented + allows to save password in local vault and sync via LAN only. used this feature for some time, but trust syncing passwords to the cloud as well - whole system very secure. De wachtwoordsuggesties zijn prachtig maar als ik een probleem heb met 1P, dan kom ik er niet meer in... Pros 1Password is een van de weinig password managers die op meerdere platforms draait: Mac OS, iOs, Windows. Dat was voor mij een absolute eis. Cons Bij elke keer dat ik ergens inlog, wil 1Password mijn wachtwoord opnieuw opslaan, ook als het niet is gewijzigd. Dat gebeurt nog voordat de betreffende site heeft vastgesteld of het ingetikte wachtwoord goed is of niet. Het kan toch niet moeilijk zijn om dat af te vangen. Ik ben nu steeds bang dat ik een fout wachtwoord intik, daarmee het opgeslagen wachtwoord in 1Password overschrijf en vervolgens niet meer kan inloggen. Ook mijn browser onthoudt wachtwoorden en het is niet altijd duidelijk waar de prompt vandaan komt. Als je een uur geleden je 1P wachtwoord hebt ingetoetst, komt de prompt haast zeker niet uit 1P maar uit de browser. Ook dat zou oplosbaar moeten zijn. Pros The usability is best in class and the product is well integrated into various browsers and mobile OSes. Cons I'd like to see an "MFA paranoia" mode that requires me to re-MFA with 1Password itself before it will fill an MFA code for certain logins. This would preserve the "chain of proof" that I am sitting at the computer and that I intend to use MFA, vs. some attacker controlling my mouse and keyboard and relying on auto-fill to do their dirty work for them. With most web sites I wouldn't care about this, but sometimes, it's critical. But I'll say 1Password is my favorite for several reasons. One, it's very easy to set up 1Password So easy in fact that even colleagues that aren't tech savvy gets going very quickly. Secondly, 1Password makes it easy for me to keep my accounts save and easily log in to them. Another thing I really like is that it helps to create very strong and unique passwords. Lastly, I like that it's multi platform. That means I can access my favorite websites and accounts from any device. Cons I've not had any issues with 1Password. In the past I've had issues with the autofill not working properly. But thy has been fixed. Having one different password for every website can be a pain but 1Password makes it easier than ever. If you wonder how you'll manage to login into apps & websites on your phone, the mobile app works like a charm and all your data is synchronized in the background. Pros 1Password gives you an easy and secure way to manage all your credentials. Both Mac and iOS app are fast and stable. I love how you can not only save passwords but also some important data like credit card numbers, bank accounts, software licenses and many more. The 2FA integration is flawless, whenever you need a 2FA code, 1Passwords copies it and also restores your previous clipboard after a few seconds. This is one of the best features for me. Not knowing any of my passwords but being able to sign-in only with FaceID or my fingerprint is an amazing feeling. 1Password is an excellent tool to use at work as well. Cons I wish 1Password had a tool to import Dashlane passwords other than using a CVS file. Another feature from Dashlane that I miss is the ability to auto-login as soon as a web page is loaded. Review Source VR Verified Reviewer VP, Online & Mobile Websites Banking Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Simplifies and secures all my log-in information" October 19, 2015 5.0 I used to use the same password everywhere (or really, one of 3 or 4 passwords, depending on the password restrictions for a given website). I would often have to try multiple login attempts to gain access to a seldom-used account. This wasn't a great situation (and I knew in the back of my mind that it wasn't great for online security), but it was workable. Then I got a new job, with tons of new logins and a master password that had to be updated at least every 30 days. So I decided to try a password management program. So far, 1Password has really surpassed my expectations. I have the browser extensions and the program installed on both my home and work computers, with Dropbox sync. When logging in to a new website for the first time, 1Password will prompt you to save the new login. So I basically just had to visit all the websites I normally do just once to save all my login information. It was painless. 1Password also prompts you to update passwords when it has detected that they have changed. And with the browser extensions, all you have to do is put your cursor in a log in field and press the 1Password keyboard shortcut to log in. Another really wonderful feature is the Password Generator built into the browser extensions - this makes it easy to use a new secure password whenever I create a new account. My work password has very specific requirements, so the different parameters for this feature (password length, pronounceable, mixed case, etc.) are super helpful. Pros The browser extensions make logging in to any website extremely simple. I love the password generator feature which allows me to easily create new secure passwords at every website I visit. Cons Only one con, really. Sometimes 1Password does not count logins on the same domain as the same login. So something like secure.coolwebsite.com vs coolwebsite.com would be saved as separate entries in the program. When that password gets updated, only one of these entries will be updated. So some general housekeeping is required to delete extraneous entries. Review Source George B. It has a simple interface that makes using it very simple. It is available on all major platforms and easily syncs passwords and other credentials across devices for easy access. I stopped using Google Authenticator as my primary authenticator app since 1Password has similar functionality built in. 1Password also does a great job of generating very strong passwords to keep my accounts safe. It also scans for weak passwords and offer strong alternatives. Cons I haven't found that many issues with this app. The only one I can think of it that the Chrome extension doesn't autofill correctly at times. Review Source NS Ned S. I've made everyone I work with use it and I've even made my family use it successfully. Pros It's very simple to setup and it works everywhere: iOS, Android, Windows, Mac. It helps keep your accounts safe by letting you know when a site has been breached and that site's password should be changed. It includes a customizable and secure password generator. Synchronizes among all your devices seamlessly when properly configured. Cons It can be a bit difficult to setup the synchronization so that it works seamlessly when you're using Apple and Microsoft products. Using internet browsers on the mobile phone is become almost mandatory to be available at any time. So having the possibility to use the stored credentials on mobile is a very useful feature. Never had any bugs or issues and it doesn't change much. Some apps update all the time, sometimes of no reason. 1password does what it needs to do and does it very well. Pros I got 1Password 7 years ago to manage my passwords and never looked back. It did what it needed to do and did it well. It allows you to sort by categories like Logins, Secure Notes, passwords, etc. Cons It has a lot of options and takes a little while to figure out. Should offer 2 factor authentication as an option. Pros Working with finger ID on mac makes logging in a breeze, they have apps for all platforms, the password generator is unbelievable convenient as is the fact that it detects new passwords to save automatically. Cons Some new logins can take some time to sync across devices, auto-filling card details can be buggy at times (although the specific web-page could be at fault sometimes for this), the user interface can be confusing at times, not knowing if a particular generated password has been recorded or not, although the latest update improved this somewhat. I have it setup on my Android phone, Mac computer(s), Windows and even my wife's iPhone. It just works, and it's easy to use. I find the auto-web fill-in great. Since I've been using 1P we never forget a password and all our accounts now have different hard-to-crack passwords. You can't go wrong with this app. Cons I am finding that some of the new websites that use two factor authentication, or they use questions/answers during the login process, the auto-web fill-in does not work. It could be because I haven't set it up properly, but at least I can store all the answers in the 1P database and no sweat. Review Source Bodo S. Pros 1Password integrates easily with browsers and operating systems. Especially after enabling TouchID it makes managing passwords and logins a breeze. This forces you to use strong passwords without duplicating existing once. It stores data in the vault and synchronizes easily across multiple devices. Cons There are some situations where the workflow has flaws and websites don't get properly associated with the saved passwords/forms. From slow, tricky beginnings we're getting on really well. I'd say we're at a stage where we can officially say: We're in a relationship! :) Pros I love how easy it is to access my stored passwords and other important information. It's all in one place and completely secure. Cons I didn't find it easy to use right off the bat. That said, I'm not the most techie of people.
