### "Full confidence in 1Password!"

August 12, 2025

4.0

I love that I can trust 1Password to safely store all of our important information, and I fear for the day that I can't access the application anymore!

Pros

I love that it stores not only passwords, but also important informations such as registration numbers and credits cards. The shared vault features allows our team to easily share all important information in one central hub.

Cons

Sometimes the application will disconnect and not automatically suggest the passwords. The solve to this is just going to grab it and copying it manually from the application, but it is a bummer when it happens.

### "A secure, scalable, and user-friendly password management tool for QA Teams."

October 22, 2025

4.0

As a QA Manager for a large company I think this tool is very handy, it is streamlined, secure, and efficient for managing credentials across projects and devices.

Pros

1Password is a reliable password management tool, with an intuitive UI, secure vault sharing, and smooth user onboarding across teams.

Cons

I think the team admin dashboard can feel limited for large-scale audits or detailed user activity reporting, detailed logs might be useful.

### "Only positive things to say!"

July 17, 2025

5.0

At its core, 1Password is a relatively simple tool and straightforward for administrators. Once employees get set up, we know that they'll be able to securely save their passwords and notes, along with credit card information, etc. Additionally, the two-factor authentication code generation is a big advantage when there is one set of credentials shared among multiple team members.

Pros

1Password does all of the basics well, including: - Password generation - Password saving/autofill - Two-factor authentication - Sharing of passwords and secure notes through a vault It's easy to get up and running in 1Password, and we feel good knowing that user access and vault sharing can be customized and restricted easily.

Cons

The 1Password Google Chrome add-on is kind of hit or miss. It can be helpful and work properly most times, and sometimes just get in the way by making suggestions in text boxes that aren't applicable. They also haven't updated their interface of the admin portal in a while, and it can feel a little bit clunky/hard to navigate.

### "Transformative Tool"

March 19, 2025

5.0

It's been fantastic, I'm very happy we switched over. It's made a world of difference for us. From going from post-it notes to a real password manager has been a game changer for saving time, and reducing security risks.

Pros

Autofill ability, vault sharing, easy administration, user controls

Cons

UI could be improved at the admin level.

Reason for choosing 1Password

LastPass has been breached too many times to be trusted. Dashlane is a great tool, but we went with 1Pass due to price/features. It was more of the features we'd use with 1Pass vs Dashlane.

### "Company Password Vault"

May 14, 2025

5.0

1password is useful to create password vaults within your company or personal use and allows you to share these passwords with a specific group.

Pros

Last companies Ive worked with have been using 1password, its ability to create shared and private vaults has helped keeping things secured and safe to share.

Cons

Ive had situations where I can find the PDF they sent me to store my master key if i ever have problems with the password to open the extension.

Switched from

The company I worked for opted to switch from LastPass due to security reasons, Ive been able to use 1password for company use and LastPass for personal use.

### "The best password manager there is"

March 10, 2025

4.0

I have used 1Password personally for about 9 years, and have rolled out 1Password for business at my last 5 employers over the last 7 years. It's fantastic and I couldn't live without it now.

Pros

My favourite thing about 1Password is that with the business plan we get to offer a family license to all our users. Which means we can instil the idea of using strong secure passwords and recording them in a safe and encrypted location outside of work. Which I think is important, if people are away of the best practices in personal life they will bring that mindset to the workplace.

Cons

The only downside I have for 1Password was the complicated setup for user-provisioning with Microsoft Entra. Although it's not technically too challenging when you use tools like terraform or similar, but I haven't come across a platform before that needs additional infrastructure setup like the SCIM bridge in order to do automated user provisioning.

Alternatives considered

[LastPass](https://www.capterra.com/p/151988/LastPass/)[Bitwarden](https://www.capterra.com/p/210695/Bitwarden/)

Reason for choosing 1Password

I have used LastPass in the past, but the cyber breaches deemed it a non-starter for me. And Bitwarden is great, I've used it personally before, but the features and security of 1Password with the reasonable cost made it hard to beat.

Switched from

[KeePass](https://www.capterra.com/p/151987/KeePass/)

KeePass is an excellent free tool don't get me wrong, but I first started using it 13 years ago, and in 2024 it looks the exact same. It's on-premise by default which means it's not accessible outside of the network, with no SSO, user provisioning etc. it uses a database file again on-premise and has no mobile app, browser extension, MFA support or passkeys etc.

### "Feature packed password manager tool"

July 17, 2025

5.0

Its a brilliant tool, we are able to have complex passwords for each and every login. We have our own vaults and shared vaults across the team. Very easy to generate password, add notes/ images / one time passcodes to each item.

Pros

The best feature of 1Password for me is autofill login via the browser extension. Managing so many different logins, this has saved me so much time and helps with my workflow.

Cons

The login process can be a issue if you do not keep your secret key safe. This is first given when setting up the account and a pdf containing this information can be downloaded.

### "The best password manager out there."

February 11, 2025

5.0

Overall 1Password is very nice and easy to use. It's a great tool to share password with friends, family and coworker. I use both a personal/family and company account. It's easy to setup unique passwords, store the details I need and input them where needed.

Pros

It keeps track of all my logins, card details, and other essential information that needs to stay protected. Not only that but it ensure it's available wherever I go. I couldn't live without it.

Cons

It's Safari extension is horrible, and it drives me crazy almost every day. I know there are other browsers out there but I like Safari and hate how bad the 1Password extension is.

### "A good platform"

August 5, 2025

5.0

Pros

The best part of 1Password is how you can easily access all your passwords at the same place and also how they suggest stronger, unpredictable passwords to help keep your account strong.

Cons

1Password has issues with scanning and detecting QR codes. It doesn’t offer short link, warnings for password used again or leaked.

### "Held out for a long time but glad I switched"

April 11, 2025

5.0

My experience with 1Password has been incredible compared to the manual management & sync methods I have been using for years now. Happy with the app availability, service, and usability across the board.

Pros

Easy interface, browser plugins, and quick-access functionality make switching to 1Password easy and sticking with 1Password a no-brainer.

Cons

Importing things from KeepassXC, which has an entry in their guide, does not automatically identify folders as tags, which seems dumb to me, but maybe I rushed the import or something.

Alternatives considered

[Bitwarden](https://www.capterra.com/p/210695/Bitwarden/)

Reason for choosing 1Password

App interface and user recommendations tilted in favor of 1Password

Switched from

[KeePassXC](https://www.capterra.com/p/247048/KeePassXC/)

KeepassXC requires you to manage your vault on your own, so for multi-device use it is untenable and creates many synchronization/versioning issues.

### "Fantastic password manager"

March 11, 2025

5.0

The product has been excellent for our team. I can add and remove people as needed, replacing staff doesn't affect the license count, and it can be used on a variety of OSes.

Pros

It is very easy to use, has very good security features and the cost is favourable.

Cons

It can be a little clunk when navigating through to edit an entry.

### "Synchronized sharing of client credentials between client applications."

September 4, 2025

5.0

Credentials remained centralized by client, handoffs more serene, and offboarding also aligned to groups and SSO, so access updates no longer hindered campaign activities.

Pros

Shared vaults and group controls hold client credentials by account, while autofill and SSO pairing minimize friction in logins between ad tools and partner dashboards.

Cons

SCIM and role mapping need to be done with care, and admin views become cluttered while setting up massive access for client‑specific contractor contractors and client‑dedicated safes.

### "1Password... the dream of ease and security is alive"

July 15, 2025

5.0

I have been a 1Password admin since 2015. I would recommend it to all companies and families needing to store secrets.

Pros

I love how 1Password makes security easy. Previous password managers I have used perplexed the end users, so they rejected using them. 1PW is the only password manager they I have had users become evangelists of. Also, I think it is more secure than competitors like Lastpass.

Cons

I really love 1Password so this is hard. I guess it is a bit expensive but I still think it is totally worth the cost.

### "Just an easy way of storing your passwords"

August 26, 2025

5.0

I haven't had any issues. Everything works well and is very trustworthy. I love the convenience of using it.

Pros

It just makes things easier. I had an experience where the password I used for everything was stolen and I decided to never let that happen again. Having eery individual password stored in 1Password helps so much.

Cons

It does take one extra step to use an app. But once you get used to using it, everything runs so smoothly.

### "Forget all your passwords except 1password!"

November 4, 2024

5.0

My overall experience is great. I do not have to remember all my passwords- I do not even know them! Is there a service that I decided to use 1 time few years ago? Yes! Do I remember the password? No! But 1password does!.

Pros

Easy to use, very intuitive, high transparency, security.

Cons

If I have to pick anything it will be something very minor... It does not work perfectly on android. App is not proposing login option easily you have to retry few times or copy-paste it from the app itself.

### "A rock solid password manager"

February 26, 2025

5.0

At first 1Password was forced on me by my Head of Security however, after deciding to embrace the tool - I really couldn't be without it, its such a brilliant tool and the fact you can use it across devices is great.

Pros

1Password is hands down one of the best password managers out there. What I like most is its seamless cross-device synchronisation, making it incredibly easy to access my passwords securely whether I'm on my phone, laptop, or tablet. The autofill feature is smooth and reliable, saving me time while keeping my credentials safe. I also appreciate the robust security features, like biometric login and password health reports, which help me stay on top of my digital security. Overall, it's a well-designed, intuitive, and highly secure tool that I can’t imagine going without.

Cons

I really find it difficult to find any negatives with 1Password at this point in time - it really is a great tool.

Cons

I don't like how they have a freemium plan. They' pretty expensive just for holding passwords.
