### "A life saver and works great now!"

August 31, 2023

5.0

Pros

1Password is extremely easy to use, all features are extremely intuitive, and it will save you a lot of time.I'd highly recommend that anyone who uses 1Password downloads their browser extension, logging-in to any website will feel a lot easier once you do.This tool is so practical and easy to use, I can't see myself without it anymore.Security wise, it seems to be a step ahead of the competition, so unless you are trying to save some money, I don't see why you wouldn't go with 1Password as your solution for password management. The interface is great, I never had a question about where to find something or how to do something in it, and the apps they provide are too good, they just work.

Cons

I feel like the need to ask you to insert your password from time to time is quite annoying, but at the same time seems to make sense for security purposes.

### "Great and gets better and better with each release"

January 30, 2023

5.0

It's really helped us manage and ensure we have complex, unknown passwords with Multi-Factor Authentication.

Pros

All of us use 1Password throughout the company on a daily/hourly basis and it's absolutely indispensable. The killer feature for us is the ability to share service account passwords that require Multi-Factor-Authentication amongst the team.

Cons

1Password has different clients for different browsers, OSes (we use it mainly on macOS) - which is great! However, it's sometimes a little confusing as to what feature is available on each platform - eg I \*think\* I can only set up a new password vault online, but I could be wrong...

### "The only password manager you should consider for enterprise or even for personal / family use"

January 17, 2023

5.0

1Password is by default, the best password manager anyone can have, be it a regular joe using it to manage personal accounts or a CEO managing credentials on the enterprise level.

Pros

It's easy to use, idiot proof and the systems integration is top notch. I have never went a day without using 1Password since more than 10 years ago.

Cons

The only issue is that it's not the cheapest password manager around, and the fact that I'm paying for this says a lot about the service.

Reason for choosing 1Password

The ease of use as well as the slick UI and cross platform support made me jump the gun. It even has an online / offline version, although the offline version has been discontinued.

I've been using 1Password for free since I was studying in high school. After switching away to a free alternative, it just felt different and not as polished. So I switched back once I hit the workforce.

### "1Password is the gold standard"

July 9, 2021

5.0

Pros

1Password has great synchronization features that put my passwords wherever I am so that I can log in to what I need. Their browser extensions are top notch using biometrics where possible and automatically filling fields if that is what I want.

Cons

I use this as an individual developer and home user. I have not really found any negatives, but would like my day job to adopt 1Password.

### "Been a loyal fan for years and years, but its now time to say goodbye"

August 13, 2021

4.0

Great at first, decreasing over time as the complexity of the software increased, until I just now said, forgettaboutit, and let Safari and macOS keychain take care of all of it. That's free and less aggravating these days.

Pros

In a galaxy far far away and a long time ago, 1P was brilliant in everything it did. I was truly a fan, before PW managers were very popular, or even understood.

Cons

Now, in the present-day federation, with all the different schemes for authentication, 1P seems outdated and does not seem to have caught up. Or maybe security is changing so much, passwords are just not what they used to be.

Reason for choosing 1Password

I looked at lastpass once, as 1P became more and more bloated, but that looked even worse. Then came the subscriptions and the vaults and the teams and the... I'm out. Going with keychain manager and hoping for the best...

### "I'd be lost w/o it!"

December 10, 2021

5.0

I couldn't be happier with this software! I feel like my information is 100% safe and controlled only by me. I also love how it notifies me when websites that I have an account with have been breached. This gives me the opportunity to change my password for that website w/o waiting to hear about it on the news first.

Pros

I love almost everything about this software. I would honestly be lost w/o it! It will change your life in terms of not worrying about weak passwords and then trying to find or remember them later.

Cons

The 2FA for websites is awful. It will not show unless it is being prompted. For example, worked great on my phone, but it was not available on the desktop. I would not recommend using 2FA with this app. Stick with Authy or other similar apps for that part.

Reason for choosing 1Password

Many years ago.

### "Best password manager ever"

August 25, 2022

5.0

Pros

In this decade, the use of a password manager is a must for a person to be safe in the digital world. 1Password does this job in a good and affordable way. They provide discounts to students. The app itself has a nice user interface and works across all of my devices (desktop and mobile). Especially with their latest interface updates, it became smoother. I also really like to use its built-in 2FA feature that eliminates switching between apps. When I try to log in to a website it fills in my login credentials first, and then fills in the one-time password within seconds which is a nice experience.

Cons

Customer support could be improved. The only way to contact them is to fill out a ticket form on their support website which I believe is not making it easy to reach them. With the student discount, it is affordable but I don't feel same for the full price.

### "I simply cannot fathom my password management without 1Password"

June 1, 2018

5.0

Pros

Even though I am a single individual I have amassed a surprisingly large number of online accounts. From banks, credit cards, subscriptions, online retailers, reward cards, etc. You name it. I currently have 270 individual login accounts, and yes, I use the majority of them at least once every month or two. There is no way in hades that I would be able to use unique and long passwords for each one. The password generator is a fantastic utility. I just look at the website's requirements and make the password the maximum length and complexity. Watchtower is great for data breaches that I might not otherwise know about and the "aging" of passwords is helpful to keep my rotation current. Storage of software, licenses, SSN, credit cards and the like is brilliant. I can fill in websites with my current info at one or two clicks. I was not crazy about the subscription change in 1Password 7 but as long as it stays at the current price for those of us who have switched, I think it is a good deal. I hope it never gets too expensive and we have no option but to pay or lose the program. I have been using 1Password since (If I remember correctly, Version 2 and have it on my iPhone and iPad. I cannot say enough good things.

Cons

I wish there was a way to stop a password / pin number being flagged as weak if you have no alternative to the length of the password/pin. Also, I would love a feature that made a smart list of logins that have not been used in a user specified period of time. Such as, "not used in 6 months, not used in 1 year, not used in 2 years.... etc. That way one could begin weeding out accounts set up for one use, and no longer needed. One could go to that site and delete the account so there are not "orphan" accounts lingering in the ether.

### "Great piece of software that just does what it says"

July 22, 2022

Very easy to use and almost enjoyable password management tool.

Pros

Very easy to use and makes password management a breeze. No longer need to come up with passwords for every account. Just remember the one password and you get good quality and very secure passwords

Cons

Let’s be honest, this software does everything you expect it to. Nothing missing. A fully functioning password manager that keeps everything secure and close at hand at all times.

### "Benefits of Team Collaboration with Password Management"

March 5, 2019

5.0

My twin brother and I are entrepreneurs and have a venture studio. We partner with startup companies and help them build their businesses. Accordingly, we needed a solution where sharing of login credentials and secret notes worked smoothly with robust flexibility for managing user access. After using competing solutions, we realized team collaboration was not a core value of the other solutions. Fortunately, we discovered 1password and all of our desires have been fulfilled. While my brother and I both of our own private login credentials for various services, a vast majority of logins credentials are shared. We soon realized that sharing login credentials with our team members was a fundamental way we operated. 1password provides the best and most secure solution for sharing passwords with team members.

Pros

\- Sharing and collaboration are key advantages to their solution while security is still a top priority. Any folder can be easily shared or unshared. Folders can be shared with team members and even a guest. - Flexibility in managing access to vaults. I can create vaults that are by default accessible by other administrators. Thus, I can give my twin brother (an administrator) immediate access when creating the vault. It is just as easy to uncheck the box to give other administrators access which turns the vault into a private one that I only have access to. - Managing user access for team members is easy and intuitive. Once the vault is created, you can click on the settings for the vault from the main dashboard and add team members to have access. Once access is granted to a vault, the team member gets immediate access. Team members don’t need to wait around for changes to propagate to their user’s access. - Editing and using login credential from the website is really easy. I enjoy how you can copy the pass with it being kept secret. Only when necessary, you can easily click a button to reveal the password. This makes it easier to collaborate with team members present while not compromising security.

Cons

\- If you have a guest user, they can only have access to one vault. It doesn’t say this in the interface, but after a few times of trying to give a guest user access to a second vault and 1pass changing the access to the new vault only and removing access from the old one, I am pretty confident this is the intended functionality that isn’t apparent within their UI. - Unable to move an item from one vault to another. Instead, if you want to item an item from one vault to another, you need to create a new duplicate item in the new vault and then delete the old one.

### "Essential Software to Manage Your Online Security"

December 9, 2021

5.0

Overall, it "Just Works" and I can rest assured that my passwords are secure and that I never have to know what any of them are (or even remember any of those pesky security questions).

Pros

It's great to never have to create or remember a password again! I simply generate and store them in 1password. If there's ever a security concern or I need to rotate the passwords, it's easy to do so without pain.

Cons

On an Android phone, the autocomplete sometimes has a bit of hesitation or doesn't find the right fields. Still, 1password is the most reliable password manager on Android that I've experiences after trying a few competitors. In fact, the quality of the Android integration is what made me switch from LastPass.

### "1Password Works Well for the Most Part, But Implementation for Teams May be Clunky!"

May 29, 2024

4.0

1Password could use some improvements, but overall, I like what it's trying to do. I'm sure that it will be a lot easier for me to use once I finish the painstaking duplicate removal part of my integration process.

Pros

The vault feature is really handy and far more convenient for our team to use than relying on a spreadsheet on our server. When 1Password works as intended, which I'm still in the process of making happen since I have the duplicate issue (see Cons part of my review), it's pretty user-friendly.

Cons

The autofill feature doesn't work consistently, but my biggest complaint about 1Password is the inability to identify and clean up duplicates automatically. For context, my old password management system was to use Google Passwords for myself. For our HR team of three, we kept a spreadsheet of shared sites and their usernames/passwords. For the 1Password transition, I was given access to two vaults: one for myself, and one for HR. I imported my Google Passwords into my vault, then used a spreadsheet to import the HR passwords into the HR vault. There are a ton of duplicates across my vault and the HR vault, which confuses the system and reduces its functionality. We determined that I would need to remove any passwords from my vault that already exist in the HR vault so that there will not be any duplicates. The person at my company who spearheaded the 1Password piloting and implementation process opened a ticket to see if something could be done within the system to clean up those duplicates. According to their customer support, no such option exists. I am now facing hours of work to comb through both vaults, identify the duplicates (which may go by different names, depending on what they were called in Google Passwords vs. our HR spreadsheet), and remove them from my vault. I'm not thrilled about this at all.

friggin' fantastic, for years

Pros

1Password works on every device no matter the OS. It works on browsers, in apps, and anywhere you need to log in. If you ever need customer service --which isn't often-- they are very responsive and helpful. They solve the problem, rather than sending automated useless responses.

Cons

### "Happy to use 1Password"

June 2, 2023

5.0

I purchased a 1Password subscription a few years ago when I was concerned about password repetition and account security, so I decided I needed a password manager. I ended up upgrading to a family subscription and convincing my wife and parents to utilize it as well. It has become such a part of my daily workflow that I can't imagine not having it.

Pros

1Password is easy to use and integrates with a variety of popular operating systems and browsers.

Cons

Moving passwords between vaults can be a little confusing for my less tech-savvy relatives, so it would be nice if this feature was more prominent.

### "Ma favourite password manager"

May 10, 2021

5.0

I LOVE 1Password, and use it everyday, for both my personal and my team (120 ppl). One other team feature I love is that with a business account every member get a free personal licence for their families. It encourages them to bring good password management habits to their homes, which is great!

Pros

First, everyone should use a password manager! It must be promoted to anyone using the internet at all. Then, among the few serious choices available, it comes down to personal preference, usability, a few functionalities that may differ. I personally selected 1Password for my team because of: - ease of use (great UI, good extensions with Chrome etc., the Mac app is great too) - user-friendly dashboard that makes the onboarding easy for new users. it was a key criteria for a team where you can met some pushback at first - some nice features like the overview of risky passwords, potential leaks, etc.

Cons

Some team management features could be added, like a better overview of logs. It would be great also to have a way to share logins 1-to-1 with another team member. I must be a design decision, but the alternative is creating a new vault shared with the co-worker, but you end up with hundreds of vaults which isn't ideal.

### "The Gold Standard for Password Managersce"

July 8, 2020

5.0

Once you have got ALL of your personal information entered, it is a breeze to log into online accounts, change usernames and passwords, access personal info to fill in forms, etc. If you have a problem, their online forum is usually VERY helpful. Agilebits staff are responsive, respectful and skilled at solving problems.

Pros

I've used 1Password for more than 5 years. I've tried other password managers. Nothing... repeat nothing beats 1Password for it value, it's design, its constant improvements, its customer support, and its effectiveness as a tool for managing passwords and securely storing virtually every piece of personal information. It has become, without question, THE most important software I own.

Cons

It is challenging to get started. I recommend this app to a lot of friends and coach people in getting it up and running. It takes trust and dedication to enter all of your personal info and login credentials for ALL of your online accounts... identity, banks, credit cards, brokerage, social security, medical, drivers license, passport, memberships, software licenses, etc.

Reason for choosing 1Password

It's simply better - easier and more robust; better tech support.

### "Secure and reliable password storage solution"

January 2, 2020

5.0

I used to just save my passwords using the browser save and autofill features, but I would inevitably use weaker passwords because I would use different versions of several passwords that I already knew. Now, my passwords are much more secure and each one is unique. I just have to always remember my primary vault password and with access to the 1Password app (through my computer or my phone), I can log into any site that I want. It was also extremely useful for our technical administration of our business because there are so many logins to be saved for our company accounts with all of the different platforms, and it is easy to share these from one user to another in order to give them access to all of our company accounts (for the other executives to have). This is made easy by 1Password by being able to divide my personal accounts into one vault and the main admin accounts for the company in a separate vault that can be shared with another user.

Pros

This is a very secure option for storing passwords, and it syncs well between my computer and my phone. It can also save credit card information to make filling out payment forms quicker, and to be able to save the latest company credit card to make any purchases. There are many other types of entries that you can save in 1Password too that we don't even yet take full advantage of (software licenses, bank accounts, etc.). It is also possible to create multiple vaults, so that you can have a company vault and your personal vault separated. The Google Chrome plugin works great too.

Cons

It sometimes takes longer to save a new login for a new website because the password creation form is on a different page than the username for example. In these cases, I like to log out and log in again to manually update the login entry in 1Password to ensure that it has the correct username, password, and login URL all saved. It's an extra step, but it is worth it once you get used to it.

### "Simply brilliant - impossible to live without."

June 7, 2018

5.0

Pros

Since every site really should have it's own password or so we're told by the security experts. Yet I only need ONE single password to make it all work and make it all secure. Who has the time to make AND remember a secure password for every site? Most people have enough trouble remembering both their email and their login password let alone having separate passwords for every account.. Enter 1password. A simple easy and effective way to generate strong and secure passwords that you need to log into a website these days. Hit a new website that requires yet another password? Open 1password, generate a password and voila. It automatically saves the username and password for you. Coming back another day to log in to said site? Hit two buttons, enter your master password and the rest happens for you. 1password automatically enters the username and password that you've saved previously. When two of the best in the IT Security fields including Troy Hunt recommend 1password, you know that it is very secure. Even better is that now 1password connects to haveibeenpwned.com. That way if your password is revealed to the world by way of a breach, you can find out simply, log in and change the password. This is checked against the constantly updated haveibeenpwned.com database (without sending your password). Can't recommend it highly enough!

Cons

1password v6 was hard to for luddites (and those who have little interest in computers but are forced to use them) to use and understand. Unfortunately I've had to abandon a few 1password deployments due to the users not understanding how to use it. With version 7 this looks to be significantly easier and unlikely to still be an issue.

### "Complex, But the Best Password Manager Out There"

January 18, 2021

5.0

1Password is a software I would insist on using at any company, especially where sharing information amongst coworkers is essential, and—without question—when sharing virtual credit card information is necessary. It offers a lot of peace of mind in that regard.

Pros

I find 1Password to be the most secure answer to sharing most types of confidential information. Mostly, as the name suggests, this software is great for sharing passwords and/or full login credentials, but it's also great for securely storing credit card information, official eyes-only documents, and a great deal more. The browser integration specifically allows access to most of this information seamlessly, with no compromise in security.

Cons

I used 1Password for many years as a Team Member at another company, and now as the Owner/Administrator, I'm responsible for setting up the accounts of all employees. Onboarding new users tends to be a bit time consuming, and the desktop app and browser dashboards have completely different UIs, as does the browser extension, which sort of feels like I'm running three software trainings at once. It would streamline the onboarding process a lot if all of the UIs were consistent, but it's a small price to pay for what you get, and is entirely worth it.

This is the most secure, yet user-friendly, software solution available for password management in the enterprise. Screw LastPass, get thi. I can use it on any browser, I have it on all my phones, it has excellent 2FA abilities (got rid of both Microsoft and Google 2FA authenticators), etc.

Pros

Security and ease of use. So easy and great to administer.

Cons

### "A Great Password Management Solution for Organisation of any size."

October 24, 2019

5.0

My overall experience with 1Password has been very satisfying. The feature set is thorough for personal as well as business use. Also, the teams and business plans are very well priced and involves features like custom roles and groups to organise. Also, it includes an activity tracker which tracks user vault activities that help is better security and privacy.

Pros

The thing I liked the most about 1Password is its availability on most of the popular platforms. It is available on Windows, Mac, Android, iOS and even on Linux. That helps a lot when you have an Organisation with different devices. Also, the user interface is very minimal and straightforward and easy to use. It also offers high end security solutions like 2 factor authentication and many others.

Cons

It is one those software where there aren't many things going against it. The only downside to this great app is the unavailability of a free plan. Also, options for sharing is not available in personal plans.

Reason for choosing 1Password

The feature set and security policies of 1Password were the main motivation behind choosing 1Password over Lastpass and Dashlane. Also, the team pricing of 1Password was very handy.

### "1Password User Review"

March 29, 2023

4.0

I believe that 1Password solves the pain points that they claim to address and is therefore a reliable and effective product.

Pros

I love the credential management and sharing that we are able to use as a company. I am able to share my logins for our secure sites with colleagues and never have to worry about important data being leaked or misused.

Cons

The UX can be a bit confusing when it comes to managing/finding existing passwords and credentials for various logins within my account. I often get lost.
