### "Great Password Management"

May 7, 2024

5.0

Overall, I like the software. It does what I need it to do and more.

Pros

I like the ease of use of the iPhone app and being able to access my data wherever I am via a computer. The selection of options for new items whether it be login credentials or banking information, etc is nice. You can also have your own private logins and passwords and have a shared folder with others you wish to share passwords or logins with.

Cons

My only complaint is the user functionality of the iPhone app. I find that it can be difficult to use or find some of the features within the app.

### "Great password manager"

August 29, 2023

4.0

Safety across the company when it comes to access and accounts. Makes it easier to create good passwords and to store them.

Pros

Easy to use, able to store all my passwords and not need to type or even know them. Chrome extension makes it easy to generate and automatically store new passwords

Cons

For the past few weeks I did have a few bugs with the chrome extension and even when I re-launched it and even closed chrome all together it still didn't work. It was solved a few days later but was still not the best experience.

### "Never forget a password again"

April 14, 2022

5.0

Overall I am very happy with my experience using 1Password. My log in information is now more secure, and I save time using the auto fill feature vs finding my password, copying, and pasting from a second document. Using this product for work also encouraged me to use a password manager in my personal life.

Pros

Like many people, I used to save my login information in an un-secure document, which I would reference when logging in. 1Password improves upon this in so many ways. It is easy to save new passwords when creating account or logging in the first time, and even easier to auto populate credentials when coming back to a site. On top of all that, it is infinitely safer than saving credentials in a random file. I also thing these features are nice to have, but not critical for my specific use: 1- the password generator. Since I don't need to memorize all my passwords, why not have 1Password generate a ridiculously complex password for me! 2- Vaults (shared team storage areas for passwords). If you have a team login for a site, you can save it in a shared vault. It is no longer necessary to ask a teammate to send you the log in information, everyone will have it at their fingertips.

Cons

There are no big cons to 1Passord. The biggest challenge is getting everyone bought in and actually using it. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.

### "Pretty good password manager"

October 17, 2023

4.0

See cons above. The product is fine. It seems to do the job.

Pros

It's easy to use and store all of your passwords in the same place. It seems secure and overall the starter plan is good value for money.

Cons

There are two areas which annoyed me. 1 Was dealing with their support team. It took an inordinate amount of time to have a duplicate account closed - like weeks of effort. Very frustrating experience. For some reason it's quite hard to actually save a password which auto generates - the button seems unresponsive. I haven't bothered contacting support as I don't have the time.

Reason for choosing 1Password

We evaluated about 5 different tools for this job. We selected 1password in the end. It's ok but areas of improvement.

### "1Password works great, few complaints"

August 16, 2022

5.0

I moved from 1Password to Lastpass because Lastpass just worked more seamlessly with autosaving and autofilling. If I had a Mac, perhaps 1P would've been the better option. I also thought LP made it easier to blend my work, personal, sidegig logins but also organize them into separate folders. Either way, they are both great options and I know I'm nitpicking when trying to distinguish pros and cons between the two.

Pros

I think that 1Password is very good at what it does. The watchtower is a neat feature in particular that monitors for password breaches. I like the overall password strength meter. The family password manager is neat for families that have shared logins. Syncing between devices works well.

Cons

Like I said, I like how 1P shows you your overall password strength rather than just individual password's strengths. It would be cool if watchtower took into account that users may use an easy-to-remember pw on several non-sensitive websites where there's no credit card info or sensitive personal info on file. For example, I think watchtower should weigh vulnerable passwords used on banking websites more heavily than say a news website or fast food account.

### "Frictionless and fully integrated password management"

August 23, 2022

5.0

It's been a smooth integration and it's now useful daily with zero friction.

Pros

The company is very transparent and have build the product on top of a zero-knowledge model. There were no major breach in the past and 1password offer a good bug bounty program. The integration with every browser is flawless and provide a smooth user experience.

Cons

The only missing feature is to share granular item inside a team. You need to plan your vaults to give you the right level of flexibility without sharing all-to-everyone.

### "Saves me every time I forget! "

October 25, 2019

5.0

I love using 1Password because it feels more secure than my previous password storing options and it's quick, simple and easy to use when I need to get a password for something. I am not getting locked out of things as much and I'm finding a way to stay organized, which I love!

Pros

Even though I try to keep my password pretty similar each time I do it, it's sometimes not worth it to guess your passwords on certain sites because you can get locked out. What I like about 1Password is that it's super easy and secure to get in and look up your password for certain software or sites. They have bubbles over the password so that it's not revealed right away and locks you out of the app after 15 minutes. I think it's definitely worth it to have an app like this and I haven't found a better one that 1Password.

Cons

There's honestly not a lot I don't like about 1Password, but the only thing I can really think of is that I'm often wondering how secure it really is. I'm honestly not sure how much it is protected or what would happen if I lost my "master" password. There isn't much information about the app when you login on how they are protecting your information, so that would be nice to know.

### "Has the best mobile integration I've used"

May 24, 2022

5.0

Pros

1Password just works, once you've got it set up and going. Sharing passwords is relatively easy, and the mobile app is well designed.

Cons

Pretty convoluted and difficult for new users to set up across all their devices. Feel like they should be able to do better than a PDF with login credentials. It's also annoying that if you install the 1Password desktop app you lose the ability to run multiple profiles on the one machine. I have family members that want to share their passwords with me, but not necessarily with the entire family group; at the moment flicking between profiles is the only way to achieve this, so I ended up creating two different user accounts for my machine just so that I could have the 1Password app on one for my everyday use, and use the other for accessing multiple profiles.

### "Indispensible"

July 10, 2020

5.0

Pros

1password makes it as easy as possible to keep track of the passwords I use personally and those I share with my family and colleagues at work. Integrating with any website is inherently difficult but I think they do pretty well, and they're always coming out with improvements.

Cons

It's a bit confusing at times because the process of signing up for every website is different, but I don't think you can really blame 1password for that - in moments of ambiguity they sometimes create duplicate entries, and it's up to the user to cull these entries. I think that's the right strategy, it's better to not lose data, but it can definitely be a bit confusing at times - I convinced my mother-in-law to use this software but it was a bit too much for her to continue with, she now uses bad passwords and tapes post-it notes with her passwords to her screen 😬

### "The best password management tool"

June 8, 2021

5.0

I'm very satisfied with 1password because it's making my all accounts secure and almost impossible to hack without any hassle on my end, I don’t even know the password to my Twitter account and I know that it's more secure that way and whenever I signup for a new account the tool automatically generates a unique and strong password for me and automatically saves it in a secured way, I also like using the secure notes inside 1password for all my upcoming projects like an idea for a domain name that I haven’t registered yet for example.

Pros

1password really lives up to its marketing promises, I only remember one password now and it's for 1password because thanks to this awesome software I don’t have to remember long passwords for all my accounts because it takes cares of all of them and whenever I have to type a password to login to one of my accounts it automatically fills it for me which is awesome. The software is available on all platforms so I get to access my passwords on all my devices.

Cons

if they can lower the price for the business plan to allow more small businesses to afford it that would be great because I believe that even small corporations should offer this awesome tool to all their employees to increase their security.

### "A great password manager can never lose sight of its old customers"

January 30, 2022

5.0

I keep using my 1Password v.6 which works fine still today and do most of the tasks it is expected to do. I am glad with the product and recommend the software as a great option for keeping safe your valuable information.

Pros

1Password is an extremely reliable software that organizes not only your logins but also a wider range of important information such as bank accounts, credit cards, personal notes, driver licenses, passports, etc. Their mobile app is extremely useful on the daly basis and provides you with direct and quick access to all of your encrypted data.

Cons

Since 1Password implemented the subscription business model it became an expensive solution, especially in countries and regions (such as Latin America) where the local currency is constantly devalued. Instead of offering their products in US dollar what about thinking of local prices, just like any other tech company generally do? I am pretty sure the company would observe an expressive growing in the region.

### "Password peace of mind in a scary security world"

February 3, 2019

5.0

The initial setup (going through all the websites and services you use) to update the passwords and add them to your secure vault is a time consuming process, but it is totally worth it. 1Password will also notify users of password dumps from prominent (and less prominent) site hacks. If you have an item from that site, they'll let you know so you can fix it asap.

Pros

I love 1Password and have been a champion of theirs for the last 6 years. I recommend to everyone that will listen to use them as their default password manager. Secure vaults and password recipes make creating secure logins a breeze. Sharing passwords / login credentials with you team (or your family) is also an incredibly useful feature in making sure that your credentials are top notch, but available to those that need them.

Cons

I wish they hadn't gone to the service model as I started using them when it was still just software you purchased, then got free updates one. Thankfully they grandfathered in their existing user base, but it would be a lot easier to convince friends and family to make a one time purchase, versus a continual monthly expense. The software itself is fantastic and couldn't make me happier.

### "Must Have for password management"

February 3, 2021

5.0

Pros

The price of the lowest tier is hard to beat, and its amazing to get passwords syncd to all my devices, I have more than 250 passwords saved in this app, and it is a huge time saver and life saver. My wife and I share the app and it gives me peace of mind knowing I'm automatically sharing all our most important information with the click of a button, if anything ever happened to me, or if I wasn't available, she doesn't need to text me for the password, and I have to text her back (which is SOOO not a secure way to share pwds). This app we both use everyday both personally and professionally, I can't recommend it enough

Cons

there are some ui things which are a little quirky, but nothing major. For example, if I'm looking in one vault and I search then things from my other vaults don't show up and I have to do a couple extra clicks to get there, it would be nice if I could automagically everytime search across all my vaults.

### "Easy to Secure Your Digital Life"

September 19, 2018

5.0

1Password has changed how I use the Internet...for the better. I don't have to worry about which sites use which password. I can set unique specific passwords on every site, and I don't have to worry about all my passwords if one site gets compromised. The interface is super easy to use and all the apps I use (Mac, iOS) integrate seamlessly. There are a lot of password managers out there, but this is the best by far.

Pros

Things I love about 1Password: - The developer is constantly updating the software to keep me safe online - The integration of Have I Been Pwnd lets me know if my passwords have been compromised - Ability to share passwords with family members but keep passwords for me private - Lets me know if a website uses 2-factor authentication if I don't have it enabled - Mobile apps keep me secure when I'm surfing the web on my phone

Cons

Things that could be better with 1Password: - I wish there was a better upgrade path for long time usesr who bought, all the apps, to move to the subscription model they offer now (I spent a lot of money on the Mac apps and then I had to spend more money on the subscription) - Not enough categories for my needs. Wish I could create my own categories -

### "Year After Year - A Continual Winner"

October 12, 2021

I've had 1Password since the company started. With years of experience, I can say that the company is maybe the best ever for support. The surprise for me is how they keep integrating new and useful features to the app. Such a great company.

Pros

What I like most is how well this product has developed over the years. Clearly, this is a company interested in the value of the product for the market. Coupled with their top-tier support, I can't say enough good things about 1Password!

Cons

I still enjoy the porgram even though Apple has similar features now, but those don't translate to my PC work computers.

Pros

Demo'd many Password Managers before choosing this. Liked the features and the graphics as well. Has categories with prefills for the most appropriate fields.

Cons

I feel like I was able to filter by categories on the app at one time, but not now. It's not that important because there are also tags, but you do have to remember to assign them.

### "A utility I won't be without"

March 3, 2021

5.0

No more forgetting passwords, reusing easy-to-guess passwords. Keep on innovating!

Pros

I've used 1Password on a daily basis for MANY years. It continues to grow and develop, addressing new security requirements of websites, apps, etc. Rather than reuse easy-to-guess passwords, I can use the helpful password suggestions or utilize the "recipe" requirements you need for a site - number of characters, a combination of words and symbols, memorable words, etc. All I need to remember in order to access my growing list of saved passwords, wireless network logins, membership cards, etc., is one password I have created and remember. Or I can use my fingerprint to unlock the vault. It can generate 1-time security codes, which conveniently are filled in on the website. The joint subscription enables me to share certain designated logins with others. The synchronized account enables me to access my logins on whatever device I have.

Cons

Like other apps I've used for many years, 1Password has gone to a subscription model only. Bring back fingerprint unlocking of 1Password extension on Chrome for Mac, please!

### "1Password is very capable and feature rich"

February 19, 2021

4.0

Overall I would recommend 1Password if you can bear the price. It's certainly not the cheapest password manager but I would say it offers great functionality and capabilities.

Pros

1Password does what you expect, generate and save passwords. There are useful additional features though like being able to upload a document and store it securely. The integration between 1Password and Have I Been Pwned from Troy Hunt is an excellent addition to an already great product and the Watchtower feature is very useful. The product does generally feel very polished and well thought through for example with the emergency kit in case of forgetting your master password.

Cons

I found sometimes the interface to be glitchy on macOS across multiple machines. This is suprising considering it was originally a Mac native app. The lack of capability to integrate a personal account in the same way LastPass does or maybe switch between business and personal accounts easily is a shame. On a couple of occasions the sync has been a bit laggy and I have had to power up my laptop where a new site/password was saved before it appears on my mobile.

Great. Migrating from Last Pass to 1Password was a breeze and the app has made my life so much easier when it comes to generating unique passwords for login, setting up 2-factor authentication, and more.

Pros

I love the Yubikey integration, as well as the ability to add QR codes to generate 2FA codes to increase security. No more racing the clock to open multiple apps on your phone to copy and paste time-sensitive codes.

Cons

Sometimes the app takes a second to load, causing the beach ball to spin on my Mac computers. However, this does not happen often.

Experience has been great. I started with standalone licence but now I use 1password subscription on a personal level and team work account. I don't know how we survived before without having 1password in the past. It takes the guesswork of all the accounts we have to manage. We have over 1000 passwords for all the web accounts, network switches, projectors, computers, laptop carts, and credit cards. A team of four of us all use 1password to access / mangange and keep accounts credentials up to date. It is wonderful. On a personal level I know if God forbid anything happened to me today. My wife would not have to spend days trying to log into or reset my critical accounts (life insurance, credit cards, SSN, smart phonw log in, home WIFI...) We have everything in there. All she has to do is open 1Password, select a category or start typing keywords and see will have the account info and notes see needs in seconds. This gives me great comfort knowing she can access all this needed information quickly.

Pros

Everything. Clean look. Simple to use. Open and Fill is a big time saver. I love however you can integrate it into the autofill on IOS passwords. I see apps developing with the 1Password icon for quick log in Supports 2SV

Cons

There is not much I have found that I dislike. I wish I could make some custom categories. I wish the standalone licence would have a changed password history.
