### "Best Password Manager EVER!"

April 16, 2021

5.0

It's been so incredibly easy to manage everything from a single platform that's not only functional but practical. I've used other password managers and it's been a challenge. With 1Password, it's just... easy.

Pros

I love the ease and simplicity of this program. There are lots of customizations available for each login and it's easy to get overwhelmed by the opportunities you have with this product. I particularly like that I can safely store social security numbers, credit cards, passports, and more. Even better, some websites share logins and you can set a single login to apply to multiple websites - that alone was worth the switch. What really helped it stand out above the others is Watchtower. A website I frequent was hacked recently and my information was stolen and sold (YAY for scammers!) and I was uncomfortable about using it any further. After a long process of changing all my passwords and usernames, I found Watchtower to be particularly helpful at identify and mitigating password and security issues. Watchtower is an incredible tool and I'm glad that 1Password has it available. As well, this program offers one-time passwords and auto-fills the information for you. I could keep going but I'll stop here :-)

Cons

Ironically... nothing. I wish I could tell you something, but there's nothing I don't like about it so far. Time will tell, but for now, it's easy to use.

### "Does what it should but not the easiest to use"

November 23, 2021

5.0

My company switched from Dashlane to 1Password a couple of months ago and I use it daily for both work and personal accounts.

Pros

One password easily integrates with macbook touch ID, automatically saves and updates login info any time it detects a change or a new login, and it suggests strong passwords. iphone integration is also pretty seamless and easy to set up so it comes up as a signon option along with apple keychain whenever I need to login somewhere.

Cons

It's not as user friendly as other password management software I've used. You constantly have to log back in (the default settings make you enter your master password frequently, although they can be changed), and once you are logged in, it doesn't automatically fill in your info. You have to click the info field, then click the 1Password icon, then click to login to 1Password, then click the field again, then select your desired login from the drop down. Oh, and then go down to the next box and select that dropdown choice (luckily, it remembers you've logged in). Lots of extra steps, though, that make it pretty cumbersome and annoying to use. It also is a bit harder to navigate the master list and categorize login info.

### "Once you get used to it, you will use it constantly"

June 20, 2020

5.0

I got all my employees on it and it has vastly improved security and lost password problems.

Pros

It works seamlessly with Chrome and my iPhone so that I can get randomized, impossible to guess, passwords generated and keyed into login pages without any hassle. I also use the secured notes function to keep important information about my business in one spot, like bank account numbers. I also keep credit cards in it, rather than using browsers and operating systems on my phone/computers, so they sync.

Cons

On occasion, it doesn't work and I have to hunt around for the password. It doesn't always work to cut and paste, especially on the phone. The apps for various browsers, desktop, and phone are all just a little different. 1Password is not intuitive to most users and it has taken a bit of training and persistence to get my employees to use it consistently.

Reason for choosing 1Password

An IT professional recommended it to me. I have not used other password managers. But I like 1Password so much, and my database is now so extensive, that I doubt I will ever switch.

### "A MUST HAVE APP"

August 29, 2019

5.0

We use 1Password to store passwords for our Adobe, Microsoft, Vimeo and other shared accounts that are accessed by our employees.

Pros

1Password is super simple and secure, allowing our company to store (and internally share) the passwords to our various media and software accounts. The two factor authentication is also great, giving us even more peace of mind when accessing sensitive data. It is also fairly priced. We have tried a few different password storage options and this by far is our favorite!

Cons

I wish that 1Password had some kind of live chat/phone support, as we've run into small issues from time-to-time that took a bit longer to solve than we would've liked. Speaking to a rep over the phone would have made the process much simpler to solve. Otherwise, we love this service!

### "The best password management tool for work and family"

March 10, 2022

5.0

Pros

My company 100% relies on 1Password. We share a lot of accounts within our company and previously the password management was handled on Google Sheets. One-click sign-ins, password generator, the ability to choose between private and shared vaults are just irreplaceable features for my life at work and at home.

Cons

I seriously can not think of any cons for 1Password.

### "Fantastic, Great for personal and business use"

July 15, 2021

5.0

Overall, 1Password has been great. I love it and recommend everyone who needs password management to use it.

Pros

I love that I can store passwords that can be synced across all my devices. I also am able to store really important information and manage access to them.

Cons

1Password went through a lot of changes since it was just a one-time payment to a subscription. There was a lot of confusion with transferring things over that I wish they made more smooth.

### "1Password is the Password Manager You've Been Looking For"

August 8, 2018

5.0

Pros

Where do I begin? 1Password brings peace of mind to a world full of security vulnerabilities while making life so much simpler. Between browser extensions and their mobile app you are always covered with an easy autofill option for all of those daily account sign-ons. With the added ability to store credit card information filling out payment forms has never been easier. When creating new accounts 1Password auto prompts you to create a new password profile helping to ensure that every new profile is accounted for. 1Password is incredibly easy to use while helping ensure you never forget another password again all the while still maintaining top security.

Cons

The only drawback that I can currently think of is the change over to a subscription based service. As a legacy user I don't wish to have to pay yet another monthly or yearly subscription fee just to add a new family member to my 1Password universe. I wish there was the option for a one time fee as well as the subscription option especially for legacy users such as myself.

### "1Password review"

March 19, 2023

5.0

Pros

I appreciate the security and convenience that 1Password provides in managing my passwords. It saves me the hassle of having to remember all my passwords, and it allows me to create strong, individual passwords for each account. Furthermore, its two-factor authentication, auto-fill and password sharing features increase its security and make it even more user-friendly.

Cons

The least liked thing about 1Password is that it can be difficult to set up and configure depending on the user’s level of technical expertise. It also requires users to remember a master password, which can be difficult for some people. Additionally, the cost for the premium version can be prohibitive for some users.

### "I for one, I Password for all!"

December 8, 2021

5.0

I'm still learning and haven't yet switched off keychain on Mac OS. So using both is clumsy and entirely my fault! It takes time to trust the new boy although a year on I should get on with it! The product is well made and very well supported. Maybe the UI could be modernised as fonts and layout are understandably very American in style which can be a little stayed in appearance. But thats not a complaint - just observation.

Pros

Security and once installed ease of use. Customer support is generally swift and always solid and genuinely interested in my satisfaction that a snag is resolved.

Cons

The interplay with the free trial versions and and family sharing set up seems clunky and foxed me initially. Once sorted though the system is superb.

### "1Password"

April 11, 2023

5.0

Very positive and would be happy to recommend to anyone, Having a password manager is very important these days.

Pros

I have used 1Pssword for many years now and find it invaluable for remembering, creating and storing all my passwords and login details. I use it with Firefox and it works very well for all login requirements.

Cons

1Password used to offer a one-time purchase. That is no longer the case and I miss having that option. This seems the norm with many software purchases going to a monthly or annual subscription. But it all adds up each year!

Reason for choosing 1Password

The reviews I read highly recommended 1Passwod. Having tried it and now been using it for many years I am happy to stay with 1Password.

### "My most recommended software to friends and colleagues"

September 1, 2018

5.0

We were always nervous about sharing passwords by email, Trello etc. We're now comfortable knowing that our most business-critical passwords and data are stored with a single, mitigated point of entry.

Pros

It's supremely reliable and efficient in everything that it needs to do. Plugins are available for all major browsers, and they all work well. The macOS and iOS apps work quickly and flawlessly. They are open about their systems for data storage and encryption. It's just never let me down. Their recent collaboration with Troy Hunt to integrate is just one example of how they work constantly to improve their product.

Cons

It's difficult to criticise 1Password, but I suppose it's slightly too easy to become locked out of their web Team management console. Personally I'm not a fan of the new pay-monthly business model. I sync using iCloud, and software updates are nice, but something I'd rather buy as and when I want to. Thankfully, they honour my original permanent license purchase to this day (that's for my personal use. We have a subscription for our team).

### "1Password is so easy to use for password management"

July 28, 2020

5.0

I have been using this software for years and it has always been seamless, but they add new features all the time. We purchased the family liscense, which gives us five users and I can oversee all five. When I purchased it they were having a 20% off sale and every year I continue to get the 20% off, which is great customer service. Any time I have had a problem, the support team has always responded quickly and solved the issue.

Pros

I use it on Mac and it is integrated into all the browsers I use, which are Chrome and Safari. You go to a site to log in and simply click a button, enter your master password, and you are logged in. If you use it from the app itself, it's even easier. You just click on one button and it goes to the login page fills it in and logs you in right away. All you have to remember is the one master password. It even has an app on the iPhone and iPad to use, plus I have access to my most used passwords right on my Apple Watch.

Cons

Every once in a while it will lose the button on Safari and I will have to reinstall it. I think this happens when Safari auto-updates. Minor, but irritating.

### "Awesome password manager - Highly recommended for all users tech-savvy or not"

August 26, 2019

5.0

Recommended for all users tech-savvy or not. You should be recommending password managers to friends, families and businesses to keep your passwords secure and 1Password is one of the best.

Pros

Does one thing great - It looks after your passwords for all your websites! This allows you to create one master strong password to access the 1Password software and then for every site login, you can create a random 64 character plus password which are super secure from brute force and other attacks. The manager also tells you if you have duplicate passwords, how old your passwords are and the "watchtower" feature lets you know if a site/user account may have been hacked and suggests to create a new password (ie. Like the "Have i been pwned" site which you can search your email to see if it has been compromised on a site). Also great for sharing passwords across different teams in an organization, as well as allowing employees to maintain their own separate Personal Vault of passwords in the same application.

Cons

Sometimes in Chrome you need to fully close your browser and/or reinstall the browser extension to get the software working again. Doesn't happen often and generally its likely from Chrome updates, but its only a minor irritant.

### "A true game changer "

April 14, 2022

5.0

In general, my experience with 1Password is very positive. He became the only password manager on my team and my family.

Pros

Everything has changed since my team started using 1Password. In a short time it has become the reference point for storing all accesses and sensitive data. Our company's digital security has taken a huge step forward since using 1Password. no more excel files with clear text passwords, no slips of paper, post-its on Macs. Thanks to 1Password we have been able to raise the security level of all the hundreds of platforms and websites we use, allowing us to create unique and complex passwords for each of them.

Cons

I would like a more seamless integration with browsers (especially Chrome) and Apple operating systems.

### "It just works..."

May 15, 2021

5.0

Pros

It does what ones expect: store all my password and other data, helps in generating new passwords, the browser plugins help in signing in almost automatically, etc. And it does all this flawlessly. Two features I particularly like: 1. Watchtower checking the quality or the duplication of passwords 2. The incorporation of 2FA facilities. It makes logging in to places like, github, really easy even with 2FA. Actually, I use the system for more than what it was intended for: as in encrypted database for all kinds of data that does not necessarily need to be secret (like the list of my personal books). It is just so convenient to have all types of data in one place (the "vault" approach is perfectly good for this).

Cons

As I said, I use 1Password as a database, and the system is really there except for one thing: I would like to be able to set up my own record templates, instead of being dependent on the ones provided by the software. Those are of course useful, but one may want some personalized ones...

### "Test best choice in paid password managers"

June 23, 2022

4.0

With 1Password I can review weak and compromised passwords and websites. It does away with poor security practises and makes it easy to live a more secure digital life.

Pros

1Password is simple to use and manage not just passwords, but notes, credit cards, identities, software licenses and more. Best of all it is easy to organise all this sensitive information in to different vaults, which you can share securely across your devices and friends, colleagues and family.

Cons

I would like it if 1Password would let you copy all the information in an entry, including it's title. Sadly the only way to do this is by editing the entry, which is extra work and risks corruption.

### "The Hardware-Software Password Solution"

July 11, 2019

5.0

Despite their progress toward cloud-based services, we still love 1Password. It's easy to separate personal from business passwords (using vaults) and we're satisfied with the security-it implements TouchID for macOS and iOS. We rest soundly knowing our data is securely encrypted and with the apps we can access our data even without an internet connection (which happens often for us as we travel and work in rural countries).

Pros

My \[our\] favorite thing about 1Password is that it's hardware-based (as opposed to cloud-only). In our firm, we deal with lots of client passwords that we prefer to have securely handled on our own encrypted servers. 1Password has allowed us to do this and the app is easy to use, works on desktop and mobile, and is frequently updated.

Cons

We least enjoy the fact that 1Password's moving slowly toward being cloud-based. The most recent update of the browser extension now requires a log-in to function. Secondly, through the app experience, we're being asked to upgrade or sign-up for an online service. We've updated more slowly now as a result so we can stay cloud-free for privacy concerns.

Overall experience with 1Password is fantastic and must be recommended also and tension free from remembering a lot of passwords

Pros

We use this 1Password for a very long time because in this time we have a lot of accounts and remembering all passwords is very chaotic so that is why we found 1Password it is very awesome and it manages all account passwords and has very good security also and easy to use, it can generate password so no need to make a different password, truly recommended

Cons

Till now we have not faced any issues, but I can say only is it has paid version and a limited free version so it's your choice and nothing bad about 1Password

### "1Password Review "

May 31, 2023

5.0

Overall, I would highly recommend. I was skeptical at first, but it really is nice to have all my passwords in one spot. I like that it can also store other info such as identity info, addresses, credit cards, and other personal information.

Pros

I really like that I only have to remember one password (hence the name). It is also great that the service will suggest a new password for you - I always have trouble coming up with new unique ones. The software itself works great as a browser extension, but doesn't seem to work as well on my phone.

Cons

I wish that it integrated better with my phone. It does well at filling in my passwords on my phone, but it doesn't offer to a password suggestion when I am making an account on a new site.

### "1Password for Small Teams"

July 19, 2020

5.0

We are ensuring that our internal logins and notes are stored safely and securely and that only the people who need access to them can use them.

Pros

At our agency, we are now working mostly remotely and have a lot of internal accounts that we must store safely and keep protected. This tool is incredibly handy. The Chrome extension is so extremely useful and auto-fills logins and passwords directly into the tool. You can even have it autofill it without letting people see what the password is, which is an added/bonus safety feature that we use almost exclusively. It's so nice that you can also enter custom fields and other notes and information into each vault and organize the vaults by project, team, client, and have private vaults for your own personal usage. The tool is safe and secure.

Cons

The tool can be a tad clunky to navigate at first and sometimes the extension works a bit slow, however, for the minimal cost and quality of security, it's not a major issue at all. It's very simple to implement once you get used to it.

Reason for choosing 1Password

Price was better and more transparent for teams.
